I work for the IWK in Nova Scotia. We recently had a security breach. My information was stolen

Today I answered a phone call and was asked if I could hear the person

I said yes and they hung up

I have no idea how to mow protect myself

I phoned right back and the phone was not in service

It sounded like the phone had problems and she finally can you hear me. And she kept it up if I am answering I think I can. And she kept it up and I did not fall for it. Finally she gave up and hung up.

Called and said can you hear me. I said yes (stupidly) and they hung up. Female voice.

I kept saying “hello” then a voice asked “can you hear me?” So I responded “yes I can hear you”.

Then an automated voice popped up explains about my bank statements.

Then I hung up.

Asked can you hear me really loud. I said yeah and then hung up

I was called. They asked if I could hear them. I said "Yes" and they hung up.

Asked if I could hear them and if I was at home then if I was at work.

I did not say yes to anything.

Answered the phone call and caller asked “can you hear me?” I replied “yes” and then caller immediately hung up

- Shreve, OH, USA

I answered, there was a click indicating it was computer dialed. A man asked "Can you hear me?" Without thinking, I replied "yes, what do you want?". That was all. I immediately realized they wanted to record me saying yes, which I did, unfortunately. I found that this is a scam going on in other states too.

The scammer called in with an automated voice call of a female's voice asking "can you hear me?" This is clearly a scam.

Person asked if this was “my name” and as soon as I said yes they hung up

The phone call was by a person called SWIGER KEVIN. The phone call said “Hello Hello Can you hear me?” I answered “yes, who is this?” Then the phone hung up.

The caller called my work cell phone (I am a real estate agent). The caller had my area code so I answered. She identified that she was calling from some organization that I didn't recognize and asked if I could hear her alright. When I replied "yes" she hung up.

Medicare assist and then asked “ can you hear me?” Recording my reply “yes I can hear you” and then hanging up

Caller asked Is this "my name" to which I responded yes and they hung up

It was the "can you hear me" call that was featured on the news years ago. They try and record you saying yes and then use that against you to purchase things or do whatever. I do have an 801 area code on my cell (UT also) but live in Boise. Just fyi.
