- Saint Louis, MO, USA

I was contacted by this company to reduce my credit card interest. They already had my Best Buy credit card, the first four numbers of it. I ended up giving them the rest of the credit card number. They had the last four of my social and they asked for the other numbers of my social security card. They mentioned that I was approved for a Discover card. They were going to put a transfer fee on of $2490.00 on the Best Buy card, pay it off and then I would get a new Discover card in the mail and then I was supposed to call David Brown at 866-783-9996.

I now have a name to go with the scam.donna at card services or just card cervices.

Caller offered to lower my credit card interest rates. I gave her my credit card information, my Social Security number too. I then realized I was scammed so I called the ScamPulse.com and will contact my credit card companies as well as the three credit bureaus to alert them as to my personal information being in jeopardy.

Also 0n 09-21-17 received another phone call from a live person, caller ID showed; Kraft, Patricia, 901-3092. Male stated same as above. I asked him where he was calling from & he stated Georgia. After playing along with him for a few minutes he hung up. No information was given during these calls. I called back to the phone number, 901-3092; there was a connection but no recording or sounds, no nothing. I hung up. Ref. the below 2 questions; did they attempt to take money / was the target a person or business, don't know as I hung up.

- Wichita Falls, TX, USA

They called from a local number and an animated voice told me they were trying to settle some account issues with my credit card. I don't have a credit card, but I proceeded to talk to a representative. When I confronted them asking what account they were trying to get a hold if they just posted off all the major providers. I exposed him and he hung up.

- Ventura, CA, USA

This phone number called about credit relief and they asked if I knew why they were calling. I said yes I did and the hung up the phone. I forgot that I shouldn't say yes.

- Edgerton, WI, USA

Indian speaking man called my phone and it was an automated message. After pressing 9 a man speaking indian got on the phone. Offered a lower rate of 6% for the lifetime on all of my cards and asked how much total debt I had. I would not tell him. After he could not tell me the name of his company other than card services I told him that I have worked for a credit card company and know he is trying to scam me. The caller then told me I was stupid.

I put my cell number on the FCC do not call list about a year ago. I have been getting a frequent and unsatisfactory phone call from Card Services for about 4 -5 months. Offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card. Wanting me to verify my card expiration date. I ask questions and he gets pissed of and starts yelling nasty profanity. Telling them not to call me back usually gets this angry foreigner on the line. When I refuse to to give him info after asking him why he thinks I can't do that type of business on my own and telling him he is a fraud his profanity is almost comical. I still don't want a phone plan that can't do anything to help.

Where are these people doing this? How many people have been hurt by this. How can someone stop it?

This is important to me that my family is protected. So is there a list of websites people should avoid?

And ways to get these calls blocked. Where are the hackers now?

Surely I'm not the only American this happening to. Why?

They say they are from Card Services management for all major credit cards and your excellent payment history qualifies you for a lower rate. Which card do you use the most? They hung up on me after I asked which bank, specifically, did they think I had an account with.

The caller sounded like he was from another country but stated he was with card services who issues credit cards for Capital One. He offered to lower the interest rate on the card (s) I have to 6%. But I needed to verify my card number. When I said I could not, he was pushy about getting in touch with me when I could get my card out and the number is disconnected when dialed.

Offensive language,.I am on the do not call list.

I want to report a phone call we received on our landline. We received the call July 3 at 4:59 PM. The only reason I picked up the phone was because my caller ID showed University Hospitals with phone number 440-461-7331. I called University Hospital to report it. We have Nomorobo and it works fine. Our grandson plays baseball and that is why I picked up the phone. I said Hello and there was a hesitation. Caller stated this is Rachel from Card Services and I hung up immediately. I think it is terrible they used University Hospital in caller ID.

I received a call today from a man named Jacob Weber, who was calling from a company claiming to be called Card Services. The phone number that I received this call from was (614)-954-8855. He demanded that I pay him $995 to be relieved of my credit card debt, and to be interest free on all of my credit cards. He said that this $995 and his services would get my credit card paid off completely. I thought that this all sounded strange, and declined the offer, and was then verbally harassed by him. He told me that since I didn't want to go through with his services, he just maxed out all of my credit cards and made all of the interest rates higher, and then hung up on me.

ON 4/7/17 AT 8:21 AM A MESSAGE WAS LEFT ON MY PHONE SERVICE BY A MAN NAMED "AUSTIN" WHO SAID HE REPRESENTED "CREDIT CARD SERVICES". HE LEFT A REFERENCE *** AND A PHONE NUMBER OF 800-799-0125 FOR ME TO CALL BACK. I DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE REFERENCE # OR PHONE NUMBER AND WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY OUTSTANDING CREDIT CARD ISSUES IN MY ACCOUNTS. I CALLED BACK AND GOT A WOMAN WHO STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS. (Can't remember her name.) I STOPPED HER AND SAID I WAS RETURNING AUSTIN'S CALL AND ASKED WHAT CREDIT CARD SHE REPRESENTED. SHE SAID SHE COULD NOT TRANSFER ME. I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT TILL HE CALLED BACK. I ASKED WHAT CREDIT CARD SHE REPRESENTED. SHE SAID "DIFFERENT ONES". I ASKED "IS THIS A SCAM". SHE REPLIED, "I CAN'T SAY". SO I SAID I FEEL CERTAIN THIS IS A SCAM AND WILL REPORT THIS CALL AND PHONE NUMBER TO THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND THEN I HUNG UP. I HAD WRITTEN THIS PHONE NUMBER DOWN - BUT IT DID NOT APPEAR ON MY PHONE RECALL LISTING. NOT THE INITIAL CALL ... AND NOT AFTER I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK.

- Toledo, OH, USA

This is the second call in two days from scammers who attempt to obtain a "yes" answer to "Can you hear me". Today's offered a free cruise. Yesterday's was a lower credit card interest rate. Both claimed to be from "Card Services". Yesterday's was robo, today's was a live person. I hung up on both, but said "yes" to the second before I realized what was going on.

A cell phone number called my wife's cell phone. Male recorded voice asked if my wife wanted to lower interest rates on credit cards, she said yes, call was then transferred to human voice to confirm about lowering interest rates on credit cards to which my wife said "not interested" and hung up.
