Carelon Healthcare Reports & Reviews (7)

I submitted a resume to a part time work from home job via Indeed or Career Builder. I was contacted by a Ms. Brittany Brinson saying she was from Carelon Healthcare. She said she had positions available for Customer Service Rep/Data Analyst/Payroll Clerk/Data Entry. It said to reply with "Yes I am Interested". From there I was asked to get onto Microsoft Teams and connect with the interview manager "Glenn MacFarlane" with a link and "interview verification code".

A quick LinkedIn search came up with the same individual from Carelon Healthcare however it said he was the President and Chief Executive Officer NOT an interview manager. Right then I knew this didn't seem right, CEO's don't perform online interview. I'm sure Mr. MacFarlane is a real individual being wrongly represented.

Once on Teams I communicated with "Glenn MacFarlane" for a long time. He said he was from Q-CTRL (no mention of Carelon Healthcare). He proceeded to offer 3 different jobs for $35/hour, asked some personal and interview style questions. He sent a video from the Q-CTRL website, asked me to read some information about the company although nothing actually explained what the position would entail. It was all very vague and broad.

At the end of the "interview" I asked them how the two companies were related to which he never responded. I asked hours, days/employment since that was never covered to which he just said there would a software to "track hours".

He said to get back on Microsoft Teams at 8am the next day for the next steps. The entire process felt scam-ish so I didn't return the next day for further information.

After reading this thread I found a lot of similarities and believe that Carelon Healthcare, Q-CTRL, and Mr. MacFarlane are probably all being wrongly represented.

I responded to a job posting on Zip Recruiter and was contacted via text to conduct a Zoom chat interview with Hiring Manager Robert M. Nini. During the chat interview, "Mr. Nini" provided virtually no information about the position and requested my bank information. He indicated he was hiring me at an unusually high pay rate and they wanted me to start immediately, so he needed to wire me money to purchase necessary equipment. I refused to provide the information and he mailed me a check for $3,000. The company has a website that has virtually no specific information about what they do and no contact information. "Mr. Nini" had their hiring department email me a contract letter vaguely outlining the employment offer, and the return address was simply "Indianapolis, IN USA." The check was said to have originated in Indianapolis, but the return address was from Schenectady, NY and contained the mailing address of a legitimate company that is unrelated to the medical field or Carelon. Out of curiosity, I shared the check with my bank manager and he conducted an investigation and determined the check was fraudulent. I reached out to "Mr. Nini" and advised him of the status of the check and his response was simply, "Alright."

Gianni Paoletti, Thomas B, Alexandra Noble all are the same scamer who sent a check or a wire, after accepting a job of Data Entry position, for almost $5000 and then, tell you to buy material to work as printer, headseat, etc and they wait several days to claim the total amount to the bank.
If you realize it's a scam and if you want to send the money back, they send you numbers

Received a text from David Tam, the recruiting manager from Carelon Healthcare, saying that they found my resume on indeed and wanted to offer me a position as a project manager. The application through the link he sent was for a data entry position. Not a deal breaker because it paid well, but the application also requested my bank name.
I've filled out thousands of applications and NEVER have I seen one that asked for bank information before a job offer. Did not proceed beyond looking at the application.

"My name is David Tam, and I am the Recruiting Manager for Carelon Healthcare. On INDEED, we received your resume. The Following Remote Job Positions are Open - "PROGRAM MANAGER and ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT." If interested, please respond with "YES I AM" and the desired position. Thanks"

My name is **** ****** *** I was contacted by Jefferey Greene ([email protected]) on September 20, 2022, informing me of an interview, with Carelon Healthcare (www.carelon.com), the next day because my resume was recognized from Pennsylvania Career Link. I had an interview with the hiring manager named Mrs. Theresa Esquivel (Skype Id : live:.cid.2b0d72b57656fbf2). The interview was just over an hour on skype and was extremely professional. After the hour, I was offered the position and instructed a check, for equipment and software purchasing would be in the mail. I was to track the package and inform them once it was delivered. After delivery I was to inform them of the exact amount, deposit the check, wait until it clears, provide proof of the deposited check, withdraw the cleared funds the next day and inform them once I have the cash funds for more instructions. At this point I let Esquivel know I was unsettled by our communication and the offer, and I needed to protect myself against what might come next. I decided that I was going to take screenshots of the interview. I told them I was not going to deposit the check without an employee contract and an equipment list. Esquivel informed me that I had nothing to worry about and I would receive my requested information by Monday, September 26th. Today’s date is September 28th, and I have not heard anything from Esquivel or Greene. As of today, I am thinking/hoping Greene and Esquivel falsely represented themselves as employees of Carelon Healthcare to present me with a scam. If that is the case, the reputation of Pennsylvania Career Link and Carelon Healthcare are at risk. I decided to inform Carelon Healthcare, Better Business Bureau, Pennsylvania Career Link and the Attorney General. I am reaching out to the Attorney General in hope you can track down these individuals, look into their history and prevent them from any successful scams. I did not let them control my desperation. Please let me know if there are any questions and if you would like further evidence. I hope this does not happen to others seeking employment.

The only reason I trusted the initial communication is because Pennsylvania Career Link was mentioned. I thought my resume was sent along from an internal employee at Pennsylvania Career Link, so I took the interview. I am concerned that my information was garnished/stolen from Pennsylvania Career Link.

After being out of work since April, I was looking for this opportunity to change my situation. Now I believe this offer to not be legitimate. I would not want someone to take Greene or Esquivel up on their offer.
