I contacted this breeder to purchase a puppy and was going to drive to pick it up. I paid the deposit/reservation and set up the date to come pick up the pup and asked for the pictures of the females that were remaining so I could do a preliminary pick before I come and that I also wanted the ears cropped and tail docked, which I couldn’t understand why they hadn’t been done already. When we tried to make the payment thru cash app he requested it from a different name and there was a fraud warning, which was a red flag but everything I checked seemed legit. The bank ended up denying the transaction twice but left the two amounts in a hold/pending status. I explained to him what happed and that I would have to call the bank in the morning and would not be able to do anything more that night.

The next morning he calls at 730 knowing the banks aren’t even open yet pressing me about the money and I explained that the bank isn’t even open yet. Red flag 2.

I then proceeded to tell him that I would let him know when I get in touch with the bank, well the bank told me it would take a day longer to clear back to my account and when I called him and let him know he didn’t seem happy with that. So I let him know then if that was an issue then just forget it I will find somewhere else. He told me no no it ok.

He ended up calling me everyday about money about something different and about the tail and ears and then shots and medicine from the ears and tail and he didn’t have money to cover it. So I explained to him that if he is a breeder then he should have the money for that and it’s not my issue and he should figure it out. Another red flag.

I was on the way the next morning to pick her up and that’s when he messed up and called again about meeting somewhere different and more money then the way he was talking changed and that is when I busted him. Then he admitted it to me and I have recordings of it also.
