Chase Bank Reports & Reviews (35)

A. Cooper called my 87 yr old mother regarding her Chase credit card offering no interest on a new one. He asked for her birthdate, SS number and number of her credit card. Although she reads all about this or hears about this in the news she gave him her information because 1. the phone number said Chase Card Services 2. he told her the balance on her account. She asked to speak with his manager regarding this offer and he told her he was busy but would call her back. I came home from work and she told me the story not realizing that Chase would have had all this information. I called the phone number back and it does indeed go to Chase Bank. The gentleman I talked to there said yes it is their number but they cannot call out on it only people can only call in. This has been happening since December to them.

I woke up on March 9th, 2019 to find a text claiming to be from Chase and telling me that my debit card was suspended for suspicious activity. The text included a number with a live link to call Chase Fraud Department. When I called the number given, I was greeted by a standard Chase welcome message from an automated system. I was then prompted to enter my debit card information, zip code and social security number. The message then informed me that my information had been verified and my card was active. I decided to call Chase customer service to follow up because I wanted to know what exactly had triggered the fraud alert. Customer service did not see anything wrong with the text message. I wasn't until I asked to be transferred to the fraud department that I was told that the number I called was not from Chase.

I received a phone call from Chase Bank. I should have known better, I had a friend that worked at Chase and she said to never fall for phone call scams, they don't call. I spoke to someone he said he could lower my interest rate. He had my credit card information, but he was asking me questions about my accounts. I gave him the information. I should have known better though. He then asked me for my social security number and I refused to give it. I asked him his name and he said Danny Green. He sounded foreign. When I asked him why his name was Danny, that didn't sound very foreign, he hung up on me. I called my bank and they told me it was a scammer. They cancelled my two credit cards and have helped me fix the issue. I called ScamPulse.com to see if there was anything else I should do. The scammer called me from 330-603-1621 and they keep calling. I keep hanging up on them.

I got a call today from a woman offering to lower my credit card interest rate. She said she was from the billing dept at Chase Bank. She had my name, address and phone number. She said because I had such a good credit history I was eligible for a lower interest rate. She had the first number of my credit card. I hung up on her.

Authentic looking email was received indicating there was suspicious activity on my account and that my account had been locked. The email requests that I click on a link provided to confirm my information.

Received text that a Chase Visa-Debit was locked and needed to call 202-888-9859. I knew it was a scam as I don't have any accounts with Chase. I called out of curiosity to see what they would say and I only received a recording that was asking me to verify my account with my Verizon PIN number. I hung up.

I received a text message that my Credit card was locked and I needed to visit their website. This is a face page looking like Chase Bank.

They have a place to put your user id and password in so they can have access to your real account.

I do not even have a Chase account and this is not a reputable Chase website.

I had a missed call from 800-945-2000, I called it back said it was my bank chase, had some of my info and sounded so real. Even had recording where you make a selection, and switching from one person to another, talking about my accounts and asking info about my address and my social security, but after they could not find my info asked for another address, and continued on "but at the end of call kept saying cant find my card info without the whole number"! So at that point I hong up the phone, the bell went off. So I got my card and called the number on the back, at that time I was told, they did not call me and they new nothing of the number that called me, so at that point I new I was scammed. So from then I started the process of identity theft.

I received a call from 260-413-8466. It was from an individual with a heavy accent. He said he was with Chase Bank and there was an issue with my credit card. He asked for my account number. I said I was driving and did not have it and he should have it since he called me. He got frustrated and asked if I had any other credit cards. I told him I bank at another bank and he asked for that credit card number. I refused and hung up on him. The number he called from concerns me seeing it looks to be a local cell phone number. Is there a way to track down who this person is by finding the account associated with the phone number?
