I was first texted from an 800 number about did I try to use my debit card and I responded no . They then said a representative would be calling me. They called me from chime support number and described someone trying to take money off of my card and that it may be successful if I do not shut down my account. I was then told the manager would be sending me a request and her name was Tiffany Moore and that it would say chime reversal and that it will be replaced in my new account. I was placed on hold and the music played so I really believed the situation. Up until when ai sent over the funds and I was placed on hold after about 20 minutes I realized that the representative wasn’t coming back to assure me if things were going fine. I decided to call the toll number back on three way to try to see if I can have another representative find whom I was speaking with and from that point I was told it was a scam! I have screenshots of everything to prove that I was scammed! I was then told because I sent the money over that I could not file a dispute and that Chime could not do anything about it. They told me to request the money back and put in the message SEE DESCRIPTION. I then called back after new year because of the same scam took place again but i told them it was a scam and they hung up on me. I then called back and was able to ask accounting to put an investigation on it. I also called back today January 10th because ot marks the date of the two weeks . I was still told that there was nothing that they can do. My next step is to send a letter to them with the proof of everything and I have already filed the scam with the government so I have that claim number as well. My finances that that took were half of my rent funds and grocery funds . I was behind on rent a week because of this and will be taking it as far as I can to receive the monies back. I am appalled at how there is nothing that Chime has in place to prevent these things from transpiring especially if the other account is with them and I called 20-30 minutes after being scammed! There was no way to put the others person account in the negative if the card had not been reported stolen. Like it was literally no concern and I had to speak with Accounts Department and practically force an investigation to be done on my behalf ! It is very concerning and I will be closing my account as soon as I can transfer with a different company if I am not allowed my monies back.

I clicked on the first link at the top of google. I contacted what I thought was Chime support. I called the number. The person answered and greeted me then they asked how they could help. I let them know how they could help. They proceeded to ask me if I had apple or android. They asked me to open my Apple Store and download an app called ‘anydesk’ then proceeded to ask me to hit allow for them to have access to what I was seeing on my phone. They gained access to my chime account, PayPal, and Apple Store. Asked me for my husbands mothers phone number even.

My identity was stolen and used against me to try and extort money from me. I locked my transactions with my bank "Chime" to avoid the hacker stealing any money from me and they locked me out of my account. I still had money going into the account and tried to ask them to unlock it so I could retrieve it and they put up the security measure that is impossible to pass and so I emailed them and now they are requesting for me to take selfies with my personal documents. They have done this to me before and I fell for it because I needed access to my account and I believe that is how the hacker was able to obtain my ssn, address and ID because they had me send this information before.

I have received several emails from this 'company' claiming I have set up an account with them. I have NOT. They claim to be associated with Bancorp and their associated VISA card, who I have no relationship with. When attempting to unsubscribe from their email, they ask for my SSN which I will not provide, so I can't stop the spam/phishing attempts.

It started with emails telling me my new Chime debit card would arrive soon. I didn't sign up for it but a debit card with my name (not formal first name like I would typically use) on it. Then I saw an email that said a charge was denied for $5.00 because it was overseas and that my account was low yet I've never put any money on it. I called to cancel the card that I never signed up for and the guy asked me to log into the app or wanted my social last 4 digits. I said no to the social and that I don't have an app. He asked me again to log into the app almost like this is the routine they do. Was a very awkward call and seemed very suspicious. Asked to be connected to someone else in Fraud and then was disconnected during the transfer. (shocker! lol) When I called back and did exact same prompts, it hangs up on you every time. I called my bank and they saw nothing and checked my account. No new transaction which means they opened this without running a credit report or anything. But, I see there are a ton of reports so wanted to add to it so people see what a scam this is and DO NOT GIVE YOUR LAST 4 DIGITS of you social to them!!!!!

I received a bank debit card in the mail from Chime with my name and a card number/exp date/cvc code. I never opened a Chime account and when I called I couldn't get anyone to help me. So I emailed their customer service. When I did this, they wanted a copy of my driver license, last four of my social, my phone number, and my email that I used to open the account. Again, I didn't open any Chime account. I gave them my phone number and they said they didn't have an account with that number. When I asked for the number that was used to open the account they didn't release that information. I refused to give them a copy of my license and I refused to give them the last four of my social. They already had my phone number and email address as this was how I was trying to resolve the issue. They won't help me resolve the issue without giving them this information and I'm not going to help them scam me further by giving it to them. So I'm filing a complaint with the ScamPulse.com in hopes that by doing so, either my situation will get resolved and/or it will prevent others from falling prey to what seems to be kind of a crappy scam.

On March 28th, 2021 I received an odd text message stating that there has been a charge to my Chime Checking account in the amount of $500.37 to Walmart Super Center and to respond with a yes or no if that is an authorized purchase made by me. Within 2 minutes of receiving that text message, I received a phone call from a gentleman claiming to be from Chime Support. He did not state his name but yet asked me if my name was Aimee Sharp. I replied yes and he proceeded to ask me about the $500.37 charge to Walmart and that it was out of Houston, TX. I told him no that I am nowhere near Houston and I did not authorize that purchase. He proceeded to then state that there was another charge for $300 to Walgreens and asked if that was an authorized purchase. I responded no that was also not authorized. Then he claim that he needed me to verify some account information in order to cancel these transactions and asked me for the last four of my social security number, my last four of my telephone number, my address, and my email. I replied all of the following information and he asked my to hold while he cancels these charges and that I the reason I did not receive any notifications is because all of my notifications were turned off. I told him that I did not do that and I informed me that he will turn on all of my notifications and asked me if I knew someone with the email address of [email protected] which I replied no I did not. I started receiving notifications via SMS and email stating that the email address on my account had been changed to [email protected]. When I asked him about this his response to me was this email was on my account and he had removed it. I started then to receive SMS messages with 6 digit verification numbers in them which he said he needed in order to cancel these transactions. I gave him these numbers. He then told me that he deactivated my card except for my zip code and I could still use my card if I needed to. He said that he put a lock on my account for 12 hours to stop suspicious logins and that if someone were to try to use my card again that they would send the police to that location. He told me that he was trying to send me an SMS message to opt into SMS alerts and to reply yes when I received the message. I told him I never received the SMS message and so he tried at least three more times with no response. He told me that someone from Chime would call me again the next day to verify everything that we had done.
