I did not follow the link provided in the email, but I looked up this company in ScamPulse.com and it's been reported as a fake business that prompts you to click a link to receive a "City Best Award" and be charged $ in order to receive it.

The scammer sent an email that we won an award for the 2023 City's best award. We have to pay $299 for a logo on our website, award, press release etc.

Received two emails to our church email address telling us we won a "2022 [city name] Best Award" for our city yet to RECEIVE the award we would have to PAY $299/year to KEEP the award. The email is as follows:

Got an email claiming my business was selected for a 2022 City's Best Award and that only one business, mine, is selected per city.

Goes on to state I would receive benefits like public exposure if I pay $299/year on their website.

There is no phone number, the reply to email is different than the one it came from. The reply is [email protected]

This came to my personal email and did not notate a name or company that it was targeting. It also sounded really strange that without any information notating who this was coming to, it was said there was only one winner in a city. It would seem that there would be categories to something to establish who they were contacting. There is no phone or address on their email or their website. Definitely seems like a scam.

I received this email and decided to check it out on scampulse before I went any further to see if it was real. Thank goodness for my quick thinking it's a scam.

They sent an email stating the business won a "city best award" and the contact them to see how to claim the award, which is by paying money. The email states that our business will be featured on their website for 2023. However, an email of their website immediately brought up scam warnings. Plus, our city does their own ranking awards for business through our local paper.

Received an email saying our church had won the Best of City award. After researching, we found that several people have received this email and it is a scam asking for $299 to receive your award.

I received an email from 'city's best awards' notifying me that I had won the city's best award in my area. After investigating, you need to pay $299 to "claim" the award.

Also, there is a url tracker embedded on the link provided in the email, which I had to remove via my computer settings. I suggest you do this also.

I received an email from [email protected]. He said his name was Will and that we had won Salem's Best of City award. The email address was the first red flag. The website did not have a phone number or email address. The only way to contact them was through their contact form on the website. They say you get all of this random promotions and what not and then they ask you for $299. Absolutely not! For sure a SCAM!!!
