I have been in search of a remote job. I recently received a message that stated “ Good day, I’m Venth Annmarie, I'm contacting you in regards to your resume reviewed by our Company (CytImmune Sciences Inc) from Indeed. We’re excited to invite you to interview for the position of a Data Entry Analyst, working from home with a pay of $27 per hour. We would like to know if you’re Interested?” Since I had been on indeed these past few weeks, I thought it was real. I looked up the company which was real as well. I then agreed and was sent this “ Thanks for your response. You‘ll be redirected to the HR manager for more information about the position and company. The job interview process will be conducted via Signal messenger which is free and easily attainable. Do you have Signal private messenger app?” After downloading the app I received this “ Great. You can now Search and begin a chat with the Interviewer on Signal private messenger saying “I’m ready for the interview”, by Using any of the details below. Name; Trevor Fulmer. Let me know once you’ve sent a message, so I can provide you with an Interview code.” After receiving the code I went through an “interview process” where i was asked questions, told about the company, and they even used the companies website. I was then told at 8AM EST the following day that they would have my decision. That morning I woke up sent a message and was told I was given a Job offer. I was also told that equipment would be paid for through a different vendor. That raised a red flag for me. What is that? They said because of the delay in their courier services the check will be sent through my email. I was asked to print and sign the check and then send it back. I informed them that my husband would need a phone call before I could continue any further.

The scammer make a job interview via Signal message app. After answering a few questions, the scammer said that the target person had been hired for a remote position. The scammer said that the company would send the target person a check to purchase office supplies for the job position. The scammer sent a check of $3700.12 via UPS and asked the targeted person to deposit the check. The target person did not make the deposit because he figured out this was a fraud scheme.

* Updating information in computer system.

* Running and processing multiple documents online.

This is a Remote Position where you'll be working for CytImmune Sciences Inc from home. If you wish to work from an office, you will be required to relocate to our branch in Rockville, Maryland but the position is fully remote, so there's no need for relocation.

CytImmune Sciences Inc will take full responsibilities for your Office equipment. You will also undergo two weeks of training online from your home via video conference with your training supervisor and you will be paid $20.00 per hour during training and later goes up to $27.00 per hour when you start working after 2weeks of training.

You will be required to set up your own time schedule working for CytImmune Sciences Inc either as a Full time employee working 35hours weekly or Part time employee working 20hours weekly. Your working and training hours are flexible and can be scheduled for anytime and any day as long as the total required working hours are completed weekly. Does that work for you?

I had been applying for jobs on indeed so I assumed it was one of them. They had me download the signal app and carried out a chat interview (first red flag) where they asked very common interview questions (What’s your greatest strength/weakness? What motivates you? Greatest achievement etc). They also asked what bank I had and how long I’d been with them as well as what phone carrier I have and if it was prepaid or postpaid. This was the second red flag. At first they were very professional but when they offered me the job the offer had grammatical errors. I googled CytImmune scam and saw another post that had the exact same details as mine did. I deleted my signal app account and removed the app.

I was messaged about a remote work job and told to communicate over signal, they got my address and name and phone number before I realized it was a scam
