I was given a email my school for a job offer which came with a goole docs link attachment to it. I did it they text and email around 9:45pm and i gave them my ID photo and my name that it but they kept textinf and asking for to deposit this check that didnt seem real

Scammer sent employee consideration email, employee contract, W-4 form, asked for signature & scan copy of Identification. Scammer called for verification of job..

Got a descriptive, confusing email filled with mumbo jumbo about offering me positions as either a "Construction Consultation" or a "Rental Assistant", in an unusual font with not much information in the email, and a google form survey that asked for my name number email home address, etc. Watch out, these scammers are getting creative.

I contacted local law enforcement and filed complaint with linked in as well here on BBB.

After emailing this individual I did not wish to continue with the employment process (of depositing a check into my checking account) he emailed with excerpts of a Google .doc "employment agreement"--a threat. I'm happy to provide the brief email threads between us. I feel stupid for even falling for this: initially the employment offer seemed like any other remote work offer. Then the process got weird. On May 25 I responded to his last email with the URLs of scampulse.com, where he was listed; noted he was listed on the ScamPulse.com scamtracker website; and told him to stop emailing me or I would report him to my local police. I also confirmed with Positech Corporation in Laurens, IA that he is not an employee and is not authorized to conduct business on the company's behalf.

a friend of mine and I were given the link for a job application. 3 different positions were offered at 3 different pay scales each requiring a different amount of hours to be worked each week upon completion of the application a confirmation email is received and shortly thereafter your approval letter employment verification letter employment agreement (monthly salary commission working Remotely as a part time 1099 employee) assignments and tasks are given to you mainly by email but i received a number of phone calls as well and eventually a check was issued my friend and i were assigned different Companies and received different sums of money the only thing in common was the name of our personal managers "Jessie Duff" oddly enough though the Jessie he was speaking to was a man and the Jessie i was speaking to was an oriental woman The funds were supposed to be transferred to another companys account as payment for advertising services my 7 % commision or remuneration monies were to be included in the total amount of the check along with shipping expenses for what wound up being $1650 cash in an envelope with express 2 day shipping bound for Illinois with instructions not to include my phone number on the shipping information and a waiver for signature upon delivery
