Dr pepper Reports & Reviews (8)

- Clinton, TN, USA

I had signed up for employment thru various online employers. I was contacted first thru text messages saying Dr. Pepper would pay $500 a week to advertise them on my car. I accepted they then sent me an email asking questions and explaining there would be a specialist that would come wrap my car in Dr. Pepper, I emailed them back answering their questions. 2 days later I get a message telling me the check is in the mailbox for me to deposit the check keep my payment n the rest was suppose to be for the car wrapping.

They contacted me thru text messages and email both. The check sent to me was from a totally different place. Everything sent was from somewhere different each time that was when I got suspicious about the whole ordeal until then it all seemed legit. I just don't see a cattle company paying to have someone's car wrapped in Dr. Pepper.

They used three different business names but I received a message asking if I would like to earn $500 a week to "legitimately" advertise Dr pepper via car decals I thought sure it's Dr pepper.... All they asked for is name address and phone number no financial stuff so u think it just might be legit.... Then they ( a Mr Steven Phill)...sent a check in the amount of $4,980 and a letter saying to keep $2,000 and give the remainder to the tech that will come install the decals... And instruct you to deposit the check in your bank (I don't have a bank but they don't know that) and tell you to then text (317)268-8323 with confirmation of deposit with a copy of the deposit slip and tell u to black out the account information and routing number s and they will then send you and additional $200 Amazon gift card as a special offer for signing up with them..... They also give an email address [email protected] for the same purpose.... I am skeptical so I googled it and on a news site see an article about how a rep from the Real Dr pepper company says they don't pay any one to wrap their car in dr pepper decals for advertising purposes and come across several sites of people being scammed or were concerned like I am about it being a scam.... When I noticed on my envelope that it was mailed to me in it came from a place called MicroMachine Shop 743 Wakefield Ct RM B Oakdale California 95361....... But the Business that Supposedly issued the check the actual business Name on the check is

Shi government solutions

Ok so I'm like yeah ok right

Why is a business in Texas gonna send me a check from California ... Not this is a damn scam too ??????
