The scammer used the name Edwin and contacted me about a position and told me to schedule an interview through Calendly. I asked what company they were affiliated with and received no further response. I believe they found my information while I was applying to jobs on Indeed, Glassdoor, or LinkedIn.

I informed her I wasn't comfortable with telling her this information. She the asked me my work experience and I asked if she has my resume because I would assur if you call someone you would know my last experience, including my background for the job. I informed this person my two last experiences and that was it. She finally asked if I still lived in Brooklyn, which once again is strange because I thought you didn't have my resume my phone number, address, my email. Also, information she was attempting to gather. When I typed her number in the search engine, it only pops up as a centerstagemusic516.com

The scammer reached out via email to inquire about a job application that I filled out. They used the company name for a position that I actually did apply for. They requested that I do some screening questions/interview questions and submit them back. A few days later, they stated that my questions were pushed through to the hiring board and I was chosen for the position. They typed up an offer email, along with an hourly pay which was an extremely high value and then requested some sensitive information. Right off the bat I felt weird so I researched the company website directly, got in contact with someone and they confirmed that this person was not a recruiter in charge of any of their job applications.

this was a job offer generated via Indeed job board. There were W-4 forms for IRS filled out along with photo copies of my driver's license and social security card as well as my direct deposit info. I came to my attention this was a scam when after submitting my documents they requested I open a bank account that they would reimburse me for they could transfer funds from their account to my account to complete job related task this led me to do more research

Received an email from a Kayla Benedict about a proofreader job. She said she found me via LinkedIn and Indeed and advised me to contact Katie Jones for more information. I contacted Katie Jones who sent me more information, including a legitimate looking job posting with a too-good-to-be-true pay rate of $45/hr. The emails had no grammatical errors but seemed AI-generated. The email addresses seemed legitimate as did the company, The N2 Company. What really alerted me to this being a scam was an offer to “arrange an online screening interview facilitated by the Better Business Bureau through Microsoft Teams.” Weird. Then they sent me the link to the “interview” on the spot at like 7 pm. The agenda included a timed questionnaire via text. At this point, I figured it was a scam.

Hello!

Upon applying for a job in sales, I applied on indeed to "Anchor International" for a sales position listed as 800-1200$ a week.

I was solicited for interview by text, which seemed to be automated, but was not due to the response timing, and local mobile phone area code.

This was suspicious to me, and the google voice number I use for job offers also flagged the voicemail sent to me as spam.

Upon doing some research about this company and their address, It appears that they are not actually paying that amount per week, and it is a door-to-door sales job, 8 hours a day, fully commission based.

This is not illegal to hire people for, but I am desperate for work to pay the rent I am behind on... and need steady income, not false promises.

They should be listing the job (as per state employment laws) as an independent contractor position, and CLEARLY state that it is fully commission based.

Outside of legal regulations, this is clearly an MLM, and I sincerely hope that action is taken to end the company for good.

After some reading, (google and reddit) I found out that this company has been operating under 3 different names.

I had applied for an office assistant position on indeed. I receive a text after applying requesting my email. I immediately looked up the name of the person Mikayla Jaylen and the phone number for a scam. I found a post showing Mikayla Jaylen just a different company. I immediately report it to indeed. I read the post and saw how the person asked for them to pull the credit report through a specific site and send it to them. Mandy Fitzgerald is the one that sent me the email today. Indeed also got back to me this morning advising that they are looking into it. I am aware of phishing scams however I don't like that someone had to experience this however the bright side is we are able to warn others ahead of time.

The EDL International who claims to be a shipping and logistics company emailed me last week claiming I had applied for a job with them 3-4 weeks earlier, which I did not. Then on 6/10/24 they sent me an offer email that has that "seems to good to be true" feel about it. When I tried to check and verify who they are, nothing seems right about them. If you go to their website it looks like a good web site but then I noticed there is no where for a customer to get get any shipping or tracking information. If you Google the address it is a business building in New York, NY but they are not one of the tenant's there. They have now since yesterday morning emailed me three times, called a left an automated message on my voice mail and sent me some text messages pushing me to fill out the payroll enrolment paper they emailed.
