The scammer advertised a home decor item on their website that I proceeded to order. Nowhere did it say that the item would end up shipping from China but next thing I know I click on the tracking link and its telling me my order has been cancelled. I reach out to [email protected] to inquire. I'm then told that the wrong tracking number had been uploaded and they give me another. This is when I discover it's shipping from 'Mainland-China'. In total it took a month to arrive. When I unboxed this item it was nowhere near the item they falsely advertised on the website. I have photos I'd be happy to send you, that would better provide you with the differences in quality/colour/detail that were shown on the website compared to what I received. At $79 CDN this is unbelievable to me. I reached out and asked to initiate a return because the item was nothing like they advertised. They told me to send the item at my own expense to the CA address I've provided in this complaint - to California from Ontario Canada. I then mentioned that the website says free returns so why am I having to pay the freight. The person Daniel tells me that free returns only applies to defective items. The website does not say this under their return policy, however they do mention you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your item and that you can "enjoy free return shipping within the 30 day window". I mention this because it took 30 days to arrive FROM CHINA so that's very misleading as well. Moving on, because he calls out defective in his reply to me, I then send photos of the falsely advertised item as well as the cheap item I received and pointed out the defects and to falsely advertise in this way is fraud. I then tell him that I expect a refund whether or not I ship the item back with a prepaid shipping label. No reply. I have gone back again saying I'm awaiting their reply and still nothing. The fact that they are doing this to consumers is infuriating. I feel at this stage that I'm being ghosted because they have my $79 for this and I have been totally scammed. I'm looking for any guidance or assistance you can provide with many thanks.
