I received an email to my work email from a "Lara Phoenix" that said a "Gary Housbrouck" was giving a free guitar and amplifier away from his father's estate, and if I am interested to email Gary. I emailed Gary who instructed me to contact the movers for delivery. The movers requested $159, saying the family wanted $ to pay for funeral expenses.

I recently received an email, supposedly from ***** ******** at Napa Valley College (his real address is ************************ but this was sent from [email protected], which I didn’t notice until now) stating that another NVC faculty member, George ****** England, was giving away his late father’s Fender Jaguar electric guitar and amplifier because he was moving and needed to downsize. I sent an email to the address provided for George in Charo’s email ([email protected]). “George" replied to me and instructed me to contact his movers, ETLS Movers, at . ETLS movers just responded to my request in an email with poor grammar and spelling mistakes, and provided me with three shipping options, completely ignoring my request to pick up the guitar in Napa in person rather than paying for shipping. They asked for payment via CashApp or Venmo, and pressured me by saying “You are not the only person inquiring about the guitar. We are going to be delivering it to the first person that pays for delivery.”

After receiving this email, I googled the email address form ETLS Movers, and found a Better Business Bureau report of a scam perpetrated by the same “company”.
