Envelope had no return address, nor did the enclosed letter. On the envelope, in the stamp section, was printed, "Prsrtd Std, US Postage, PAID, Mailed from 63155, Permit 5497"

Letter stated that my home warranty "may be expiring or has already expired", and that I should call immediately to activate the Home Warranty. This is "our final attempt to notify you."

"Failure to call & prevent a potential lapse in coverage could result in you being liable for all costs associated with any home repairs."

I decided to go online to report this scam.

Official looking, threatening letter informing my home warranty may have expired and requesting I call a phone number immediately.

- Seaford, NY, USA • Sep 20, 2024

We received a letter stating we needed to contact 877-499-4406 before 9/27/24 because the home warranty at our address expired. It was addressed in the name of our deceased father who no longer lives at or owns this property.

While we had financed our home through Bethpage FCU we own our home fully. When I looked up the phone number I realized it was a scam. I hope others do not fall for this scam.
