They sent me a text message saying that C4 energy wants to pay me 750 dollars a week to ride around woth theor decal on my car. They sent me a check for $3,980.00 and said to cash it and text them as sokn as i go to my bank to cash it so they can approve the funds and then after i get the money they wanted me to send a picture of the receipt that i got the check cashed. This is really scary and i dont understand how they can get away with this. All i was trying to do was make some extra money to pay my bills not to become apart pf a major scam and get screwed over. I have two different phone numbers they contacted me from and also the name if the business that appare t check came from and all of that. This is definitely not right.

I am San Diego State University student and recently I was victim of Remote Job scam. It was all started when person with the name of Berisha Gym ([email protected]) sent me email to complete this link form "forms.gle/nKN3jHiQiTYikEHV7". I completed it and trusted because first I was expecting job opportunities from my school and secondly I saw that she sent to a lot of accounts affiliated with the students at my school. So I completed the form. On July 17 2024, some guy with the name of Luke Bryan ([email protected]) reached out to me through my personal email regarding Student Service Worker remote job position that I applied for. He was pretending it was from my school because he had logo of my school on his email. He provided me all the job descriptions and expectations on that email and told me to provide which I did, my Name, Address, My banks name "direct deposit" and my phone number. So he reached out to me through text message that same day and asked if I was doing anything to start the remote job now. I agreed. He told me that an endorsed check would be sent to me so I can deposit it into my bank account. So he sent me a check with the amount of 1402.65. So he told me to to deposit the check picture he sent me into my Bank and I did thinking that was the job. After I sent him confirmation that I deposited his check, he told me to send $500 from the amount he sent me to a recipient with the email of [email protected]. The name that appeared under that email when I sent that $500 through Zelle was Tyler Wade. So he told me to wait from him to tell me what to do with the remaining amount of 902.65. After that he sent me another email to set up direct deposit. This time it was sent through an account that appears to be from USAA Bank. It seemed legit because I still can't tell if its the real USAA because the email is ([email protected]) and the form I completed was this "https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfqRgK8gBoBRdhfsDCXJvCFWmum8JZRjP... I called USAA earlier and they said they don't have direct deposit form. To make matters worse, I submitted all of my confidential information on that form because I trusted it. I submitted my Social Security card, my driver license front and back and my bank routing and account number. So I realized today July 20th, 2024 that I was victim of scam because I saw on my bank account that the deposited amount remaining and extra $500 from my money returned with the scammer. I am really anxious, scared not just for my money but most importantly my social security. I couldn't take whole lot of precautions when I realized it because its weekend and a lot of places like social security office or calling Trans Union or dmv are closed. I was only able to contact my bank. Can you please prioritize this case because I am scared for my identity and it could happen to whole lot of students as I write this. Please get ahead of this and catch this whomever these people are.

They emailed us directly and got through your spam ware and firewall

i was applying to jobs on linked in. i did not like the requirement of doing a credit check at my expense so i emailed them back saying i was no longer interested. thats when Taylor Bastiste emailed me with the job offer it sounded good to me and very self explanatory until they told me i was hired without an interview and that they would be sending me a package on June 28th through UPS. I asked what the package would include and they stopped replying so i started doing my research online and found that this email and person have been reported before so i plan to report to authorities as well.

I received a job opportunity via text message. Many things about it appeared to be a check scam. There are mis-spellings, the rate of pay was ridiculously high, there was mention in the linked text about being reimbursed if you had to use to your own money, the whole thing set off alarms that it is fake.
