He told me he was looking for a business partner & he had many high end California clients and he wanted to be a BUYERS agent and he wanted his partner to do the listing side of the business. I was soon having heart surgery and I needed help with my business while I was recovering. We decided to partner together. He had already created the Gem State Home Group website and business model. He has a 20 year history of doing this same scam in California under the name of Property Service West.
He finds people who want to do a remodel or need construction work done. He has conned 2 of my clients into wiring over $46,000 to him. He will do minimal work, fake receipts, claim he has ordered carpet, appliances, etc. and then makes excuses that they are on back order. I have personally gone to the businesses trying to confirm orders and no appliances or carpet were ever ordered. I have written proof and video recordings of the stores telling me no items were ever ordered. I called him and recorded the conversations, he actually gave me fake dates he ordered the items. I later met him in person to get copy of the paid receipts he provided me with estimates only. I informed my client they were being scammed. They are both now in the process of suing him. BEWARE, he puts ads on Craigs list as a contractor.
