Clicked on top link on google for global entry application. Turned out to be a scam. Gave them all of my personally identifiable information and a copy of my passport.

Well known scam. You do a google search for the US Customs Global Entry program. The first link is a sponsored link that takes you to a 3rd party site that looks similar to the Global Entry site. I did not even realize I was not on the government site. You enter your sensitive information that is needed for Global Entry thinking you are on the government site. You are charged $249.95 for a service that costs $100. I did not even realize it happened until I saw my visa bill with a charge from a company called Global Traveler Assist in addition to the charge from the real Global Entry. I investigated and realized that I had been scammed by a 3rd party site. So unfortunately for me I have allowed the scammers to get sensitive information as well as an additional $149.95.

********************************/ is a scam website that charges $149.95 on top of the $100 dollar fee to file your application for Global Entry. There are entire online threads about this website as it comes up first when you google global entry application. Applying through the CPB website only charges you $100 dollars as that is the fee for global entry. This website needs to be removed and it is very misleading and several people have used it included my partner and worried if their information is now being sold by this site.

Searched for global entry government site on Google and mistook this for the real thing based on layout, colors, language, name

- Saint Petersburg, FL, USA • Feb 07, 2024

I was googling global entry and it took me to this site which I thought was government site

- Charlotte, NC, USA • Feb 06, 2024

Website appears as Global Entry Application website, but is a phishing website that charges and captures your personal information.

- Happy Valley, OR, USA • Feb 05, 2024

Website imitates the Global Entry Application and takes personal information pretending to be the Global Entry Application.

I searched "TSA Pre-check" and it was the first website that popped up. I complete the "application" which asked tons of personal information questions. Then after I hit submit it said that cost would be $234 for the application and interview fee to get TSA pre-check status. I had heard that the cost was supposed to be $78 so I became skeptical. I told my husband and her found an article about being aware of the TSA pre-check scammers.

Google ad making it look like the government website to get global entry and then charging an extra $149 fee. Took personally identifiable information.

- Aldie, VA, USA • Jan 25, 2024

They are a service to submit a tsa pre check application. They now have my place of birth, previous names used, and credit card

When searching for global entry forms, this is the top result because they are running it as an ad. When you click on it you go to fill out a form and everything seems legit. The only reason I even found out it was fake was because my boyfriend used the same site and his bank didn’t let the charge go through because it marked as fraud. Then I researched and saw this is a scam. What bothers me the most is the amount of information that was given. From passport, to drivers license, CC. Really frustrating.

On January 7th 2024, I wanted to apply for Nexus, so I googled "Nexus application," and one of the first websites that came up was ********************************************** (I don't remember if it was a sponsored website or organically came up as one of the first choices. They also use the website *************************)

It looked like an official government website, so I filled out my information (including drivers license, passport information, previous places of residence and employment, and credit card information).

They charged my credit card $149.94 for submitting my application on 1/13/2024. The vendor name for that transaction my credit card statement is [easy-nexus-pass*****(**************************/), with the address of 321-3849062, NM 87505 US. I was charged that on top of the government's US Customs $50 application fee (which was processed on Jan 8 2024)

While my information was passed into the Nexus, the look and feel of the website was incredibly misleading to look like an official government website, and the $150 extra was charged just to pass along that information to the real official government website. They now have access to my personal information and credit card details, and I am incredibly concerned that my personal information has been compromised.

I googled Global entry and their site for global application came up first . Asked very personal information took PP# and CC number . I should have noticed something was wrong when the site kept asking for other information .

- Washington, DC, USA • Jan 05, 2024

I attempted to renew global entry online via DHS and was somehow redirected to a third-party site unknowingly. They have my addresses from the last five years, DOB, and passport number. And last five digits of my SSN. They have followed up via email and text for info from my old passport so they can move ahead with my application, but the communications are not from the U.S. government.

I clicked the first link available to register for tsa precheck. Unfortunately it was a scam website which I realized after making a payment of $149 for their “service”. I have contacted them for a refund but have yet to receive my funds.

- Alexandria, VA, USA • Dec 30, 2023

Fake website designed to look like the DHS site for application of a global entry

- Sharon, MA, USA • Dec 29, 2023

This company presents itself as an assist in the process of booking appointments for TSA pre-check by using an address which is very close to the official tsa pre check email address. They charged me $149.95 for booking an appointment, [email protected]

- Dublin, OH, USA • Dec 28, 2023

This website mimics the TSA Pre-Check website operated by Idemia, wherein it collects the information needed for a TSA Pre-Check application and then charges $149.95 to transmit that information to Idemia. This provides no value at an outrageous price.

- Arlington, VA, USA • Dec 28, 2023

I was applying for Global Entry for an upcoming trip and used the first link on google. It was a company that basically submits your application for you and charges an additional $150 fee, and I’m worried that they have my debit card info (frozen), address, passport info and drivers license info.
