While using the platform Imagine.art (www.imagine.art), I was on a monthly subscription plan. The company prominently displays “upgrade” buttons throughout the interface. When I selected an upgrade option, the pricing appeared to reflect a monthly rate. However, the disclosure that the charge would be billed annually and paid upfront was only shown in very small, low-visibility text.

As a result, I was charged approximately $1,200 immediately without a clear and prominent indication that this would be an annual, upfront charge. I lost a total of $1200.

After noticing the charge, I attempted to request a refund. The company requires customers to schedule a Zoom call with a representative rather than offering a straightforward refund process. I completed this step, but my refund request was denied.

I then disputed the charge through American Express, but the dispute was unsuccessful after the company referenced its refund policy.
