they are calling and leaving messages stating that i owe the irs and that my phone and home are being watched, and to respond b4 they proceed with legal action

Robo call saying I would be arrested if I did not take action on the call. IRS is coming after me for tax fraud. Hah! How can this be legal?

Yesterday, August 21, Monday, my mother called and told me that someone called her from IRS named Jennifer Singer with ID No. 0266641. Claiming her that she owes *** which is not true. In the event, she keeps on asking for her credit card no. to make a payment. Good thing, she didn't give it to her but in the long run, she keeps on pushing her to make a payment and even threaten her that she'll get jailed if she will not pay that amount. Eventually, my mom was forced to give her SS No. and home address because of too much pressure from the caller. Now, after that call she was so worried that they might use her SS No. and home address for any bad intentions likes applying for a credit card or loan. Is there a way that you can interfere or decline is someone will use her confidential information anytime soon? Please help her. She's so helpless. Thank you.

Tell me that I'm under criminal investigation of IRS. It's a machine talking on the phone not a live person.

They called and left a message that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.

The number above called me and said the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me unless i paid them money. They told me to call them back, and when I did I told him that I knew he was a scam and he said "don't call this number again" and then hung up the phone.

Caller told me I qualified for a $9000 IRS grant because I paid my taxes in good standing. He proceeded to tell me that I could receive the money via direct deposit into my personal checking account or have it Western Union to a local CVS or Walgreens.

Called me to collect thousands of dollars for incorrect taxes. Threatening to imprison me, seize all my assets, surrender my license. Also. I was told not to tell anyone about the debt. Funny part... I was going to be arrested 30min. After the phone call.

Got a message saying the IRS was planning on litigation against me and I should call them back. I called and they started to ask questions like whats your name, and to confirm the address they had on file. Thats when I asked what address do you have on file. They said I needed to answer the question. Than I said please send me the info to my mailing address and they hung up.

A representative from the "IRS Criminal unit" just called and threatened me with a lawsuit if I did not give them my SSN immediately. I refused. They said "OK we are sending the sheriff immediately" and hung up the phone. I called back and said "I know this is a scam, I've already called the sheriff." The IRS representative said "Oh good, can you tell the sheriff to suck my dick!". Clearly not a government employee.

412-566-4057. The message does not identify who they are but that you should call them before they file a legal action. Then when you call back it rings then goes busy. After a few tries I got through. The woman was very professional, spoke excellent English with no accent and said she was an IRS investigative officer, and gave her badge number TP7 7898. I gave her my name and phone number and she would not tell me what the complaint was about. She demanded my address be verified which I gave but she still refused to provide any information and then threatened to call the sheriff and have me hauled iff to jail- that was when I knew it was a scam. I called back to try and get more information and a very polite man answered, saying he was an IRS investigative officer (Kevin Foster but he had a very thick Indian accent but gain spoke excellent English) and listened to my complaint. I told him what happened and he said he would verify and hung up too. This sort of behavior should be stopped not allowed to go unchecked by authorities.
