Just Answer website (JustAnswer.com) advertises appliance help via chat for $5. They enrolled me in an ongoing 'membership' that I didn't agree to. My credit card questioned a charge by "Pearl Expert". I didn't recognize the charge. The CC company said it had the same identification as the "Just Answer" company. When I looked carefully at the CC statement. I saw that I had been charged the agreed-upon $5 by Just Answer, as well as an unauthorized $65. An additional $65 charge was posted and questioned as fraudulent by the CC company. I have lost a total of $130. I have cancelled the credit card and tried to contact the Just Answer customer service. They want to charge me $5 to speak with someone!! I'm not falling for that!!

Food and water were rationed from the beginning, with the men first consuming the CUSTOMER SERVICE + 1 80.5 -4'10 -50.03 PHONE number + + 1 80.5 -4'10 -50.03 bread that had been soaked in seawater, even though it increased their thirst. After ten days of eating only meagre rations of bread, they slaughtered the first of the giant tortoises that had been salvaged from the wreck and achieved a small respite from hunger

I recently attempted to use justanswer.com for a windows question on Nov. 3, 2025. When signing up the website clearly states that you can try the services and if not happy, cancel with only a $5.00 fee rather than the 48.00 monthly fee. After an online chat with the tech, I had no resolution of my issue. I immediately canceled the "membership" on the same day, in fact with in 2 hours, only to have both the 5.00 and 48.00 charge appear on my credit card on Nov. 6th. I directly contacted their customer service on Nov. 17th and was told that I would not have any additional charges, but the 48.00 was non refundable, and after several emails back and forth, still have no resolution. This company needs to be held accountable for such an underhanded operation and blatantly trying to scam people. I am not someone usually vulnerable to such tactics. This company purposefully misleads consumers.

I was on the DMV site to try to make a vehicle transfer in my niece's name. I gave her my car because I don't drive anymore. I went to the DMV to make the transfer twice already. They don't answer the phone here at the DMV in California. So, I went on the Sacramento DMV site to try to chat with someone about it. Once I begin to chat with someone I guess that I was no longer online with the DMV. I was talking to this company called Just Answer. Never noticing, what seem like to be a bait and switch. I really don't know what a bait and switch is. All I know is I was on the DMV website. After speaking with the person, they said that they could help me for one refundable dollar. I gave them my financial information and the next thing I knew it popped up in the chat that they had signed me up for an unauthorized membership. They didn't call it unauthorized. I'm calling it unauthorized because I had not agreed to a membership. I guess I was just tired. I've been dealing with this for months because my niece started getting tickets on the car and they are coming in my name. Me and my niece went up to the DMV together to transfer the title. And I'm still dealing with it. I canceled the membership immediately online and I called the company to cancel after I got off line. I called my financial institution and made them aware of the situation. My bank canceled my card and now they are investigating the incident. Rule of thumb never give your financial information to anybody, even if it's just a dollar. If you are tired take a break. When I called the company I told the guy that I thought that I was online chatting with the DMV. He ask did you think you were chatting with the DMV? Basically, he told me that's where I messed up. I hung up on him. Because I wasn't getting anywhere with him.

I was looking for online help with Turbotax and "justanswer" popped up to provide the answer for $5. I paid by credit card and was then told I was enrolled in a monthly service for $50 a month. Cancelling was complicated so I blocked payment via my Credit Card company.

On February 5, 2025, I was trying to get information about my personal income taxes. I was unable to get anything from the IRS, so I thought I would check on the AARP website. When I was trying to get on the AARP website, the Just Answer Tax professionals popped up. I thought I might get my answer from them. I was on hold for a few minutes, when a window popped up to ask for my debit card information. They said they would have my answer shortly. After being on hold for about ten minutes, I figured it was a scam. I hung up and drove to my bank to destroy my debit card and was issued a new one. Just answer sent me a message saying they were still working on my question. They also sent me an e-mail stating that they were working on my question. I was charged $55.00 on February 5th. I received a text (which I no longer have) and as I remember, they asked me if I wanted to "Unsubscribe." I asked to be "Unsubscribed." Then, on March 10th, I noticed another $55.00 taken out of my bank account. I called the bank, and they are going to try to dispute the charge. I printed the e-mails out and noticed the contact telephone number. I called to cancel my subscription. A computerized voice gave me a cancellation number and said they would send me an e-mail with the cancellation number. I wrote down the cancellation number, however, I have not received an e-mail including the cancellation number.

Tried to activate my existing **** account on a new phone. The **** app. was not working properly so I went to **** site. It directed me to fill a form that will charge $1 refundable. After that I received two e mails rom JustAnswerthat they are working on my request with order ID 44482554-296 and a man DavidB1215 a software tech is working on it. A man called from 415 202 5633 and told me to do to **** site, which made no sense. Meanwhile my bank contacted me asking if a charge of $55.00 + $1.00 was mine. As a result I had to close my credit card and wait for replacement. I didn't ask for fraudulent monthly subscription Those people are fraud please do something to stop them

I clicked on JustAnswer online for assistance with a problem and was told they would charge $1.00 from my bank account which they did along with another charge of $52 in September 2024. I requested this service be cancelled and again $52 was deducted from my account on October 19, 2024. I called and again requested this be cancelled and money refunded - I did not know it was an ongoing charge and was duped. Please investigate.

I went on line to find out how to fix something. I found a website that offered ti provide me with answers. I paid a$2 fee then I paid $34 to a specialist to have my question answered. I thought that was the end of it. Since May I have been charged $53 a month as I was enrolled into a membership I did not agree to.

These so called attorneys do not know the law. I received 3 different answers to my one question.

- Englewood, CO, USA

August 13, 2024 - I found this company on-line for legal advice for a legal matter in Wisconsin. I was connected to a lawyer in Tennessee who advised of the $5.00 call. I got my advice. Then I discovered I was charged an additional $60.

October 14th - I reviewed my credit card bills and noticed an additional $60 charge on September 13th and October 13th. I was apparently assigned a “membership” without my knowledge or consent, and was further deceived by the statement that the call was $5.00. Additionally, the website says “No commitment.” From the website chat interface, my “membership” was cancelled. I have disputed the charges with my credit card bank, AMX. Without resolution, I will contact the Colorado Attorney General.

- Marshall, TX, USA

I was trying to get in touch with a Vizio company about setting up my TV because I just moved here to Marshall, and some guy said he could do a chat online and he asked me if I wanted to do a phone call instead I said yes and that he would charge me one dollar That was refundable from my checking account and I found out that they tried to charge me $46. This company is a scam. Luckily my bank stopped it.

- Canal Winchester, OH, USA

I received a box of boxes delivered from FedEx that we didn't order. We called the number on the box, and was directed to contact them thru email or the website. Once you go to the website they try to get you to sign up for a monthly subscription to fix an "unexpected package problem."

- Elkhorn, WI, USA

I was not feeling well so I used their website to help with my condition. They couldn't help me. I just realized I signed up for a membership for 46.00 a month and had to close the membership but lost 92.00.

Somehow JustAnswer got my card number. I have never been on their site, and definitely not given them my card number. I am very cautious about whom I give my information to. JustAnswer used my card number to try to charge me US$65 X 4 attempts (CDN ~$88 each) equivalent to approximately CDN $350. Luckily my bank identified the transaction attempts as possible fraud, put a stop on them, and contacted me immediately. As far as I’m concerned, and from reviews I’ve read, JustAnswer is just a money grab and a scamming site.

I sighed up for a $5 question, asked it, it got answered, I cancel. I look at my bank account, two charges: $5 that I agreed to and a $60 I did not - they say that they made me aware in plane site about the charge - I am a graduate and very adept at reading the written, English language - It was not in plane sight. They tell me they have reversed the charges - but I will not know for 5 days. Unethical, bad business - ripping people off. I also have screen capture to support this claim.

I want everyone to understand ! When you give Just Answers a Credit Card number, they will bill you every month, if you do not stop the Credit Card Co. Automatic Payment. I canceled my PayPal Automatic payment within 24 hrs, but Just Answers got $56.00 from me after saying in writing, it is Just $1.00. However it was a legal question, and was answered, by telling me to find a local attorney. I new it was a scam and ask a question 10 years ago, but fell into the same trap twice.

- Melbourne, FL, USA

I contacted an attorney consultation website to obtain an attorney to handle a civil lawsuit I intend to file, they charged me $5.00 for this service which I authorized, then in 10 minutes time my bank notified me of an additional charge of $60.00, I did not authorize this charge. I tried contacting the company and the service person told me it was for a membership, I did not sign up for any membership, because I never gave them my name, or my address, all they had was my phone number and bank card number. I asked for an immediate refund, which they refused, after calling customer service countless times they hung up on me after putting me on hold.

I was told it would cost 5 dollars, and they charged my card 30 dollars
