Same contact as person in previous complaint. I paid $1,400 for fact check on true crime novel I was writing. The project manager wanted me to follow the formula for a cozy mystery. But that is not the genre I am writing. He said he had no information for true crime writing and said he felt I should fact check my own writing. That is not what fact checking is. He reviewed the quote and said it did not include the ISBN number, which are usually purchased in bulk by a publisher. He wanted me to buy my own ISBN, which I did in a bulk order of ten. I tried to cancel the contract, because it was less than 2 weeks. Customer care would not cancel. They would only re-negotiate the contract. But there was never a contract in writing. I was put with the same project manager, who again wanted a cozy mystery. I was contacted again by the same number and was told KPD was sold to another company.

Searched for how to self publish a book. The Kindle Direct Publishing site came up -- I used the chat window to chat with the rep. I asked all the relevant questions, and even emailed the transcript of the chat. The rep said he'd email me a quote, but I didn't receive it. Instead, he texted me a link to an invoice to pay. I asked him to email me again and he didn't do it, but said he did. Then he texted me another link to an invoice to pay. There were no terms & conditions in the invoice. He has texted me most days since trying to get me to pay the invoice. He answers the phone if called and the tip was that he didn't sound very well versed in what he was selling and his information didn't match the information on the quote. The quote provided was $799, but the invoice is $800. And the invoice is generated from Zoho Invoice. If you click on many of the links on the website, they go to dead pages (which would never happen if this was truly Amazon/Kindle). They must be scamming money out of a lot of people.
