Possible Scam Alert

I received a call from this company today, claiming they could help me get my book into major bookstores and that they had established connections in the industry. They asked for a substantial upfront payment, which immediately made me skeptical. After checking out their website, it seems quite new and lacks substantial information or credible testimonials.

I couldn't verify any of the "connections" they mentioned, and the whole setup felt rushed and unconvincing. Authors, please be careful before paying anything upfront. do your research thoroughly. There are many reputable companies out there but this didn't seem like one of them.

This is insane. These people have a complete AI-generated website - just review https://kravitzandsons.com/about-us/

The pictures / leadership team are all fake people that don't really exist - no bios, AI-generated blog posts, and entire web pages clearly generated by AI - as determined by GPT Zero or related genAI detectors.

They called my mom, told her they were interested in republishing her memoir (a book she had published in 2001), but wanted money ($$$ thousands of dollars) - to get republish it and print hundreds of new copies.
