I relocated to Orland Park 2/13/2021 and was referred to this handyman named Larry Welch.(************) Mr. Welch was given a list of what needed to be done in the house before I moved in on 2/13/2021. We agreed upon the total cost for the work. ($ *******.) Mr. Welch wanted half of the money up front (*******) and the rest when the work/tasks were completed. Completion date was 2/13/2021. Mr. welch did not complete the work by 2/13/2021. Mr. Welch would show up late or was just a no show. He was always giving excuses as to why he was late or did not show up on a schedule day. It appeared that once he received the deposit I hardly saw him. He was asked repeatedly via text/ phone calls to give me a list of what he was doing at the house and the receipts for some items he purchased for the house, to no avail. He left some tasks not completed, some half completed and did complete some tasks too. The completed tasks did not add u to *** ******** *******. I have attempted to reach out to Mr. Welch several times via text and phone calls with no response. I feel that he has taken full of advantage of me and needs to be stopped. He comes across as a friendly, even charming, individual and I don't want this to happen to others who have a limited support system and /or is on a fixed income.
