I am so confused. I actually use this company for all my advertising needs. Their cost is ridiculously cheaper then any other company like Google direct. They have brought my listing from a 3* up to a 4.2 * not to mention how my business increased since I went for a better listing over a free one. After each payment, I get an invoice paid and I always get my W9 in time for tax period. I'm actually shocked at these comments. Then again, you can't please all the people all the time.

This company will call you very polite at first talking like they've talked with you for a while. They'll say they're just calling to get payment on the advertising services and hope business is going well. When you asked them about what you're supposed to be paying they'll act like you're crazy "the advertising services of course!" and you respond with what advertising services? they'll say "the ones you agreed to." This is classic scam behavior: Gas lighting to make it seem like you totally agreed to this amount and you're the one who forgot to pay. The pleasant demeanor runs out immediately as they start to get pushy and nasty and mean telling you how they have your voice on recording, how they are going to come after you, how you agreed to a two year contract, etc. When you asked for proof of a contract they'll say "You don't need a contract for under $1000" right off the bat they have that info because they're READY to put you in a gotcha moment. These people are classic scammers who play the nice then mean game it's the same script same scam different piece of [censored] on the phone trying to shake you down.

Do not give them any money

They'll say "well this is just a courtesy call before we run your card" and give you some bogus card info. The angle may be to get you to give them another card or to say "go ahead and run it it won't work!" which they will respond with recording and cutting the call to get an audio clip of "go ahead!" as proof you authorized the transaction.

Do not give these people the time of day. Any legit business you have done business with will be polite and kind and understanding and work together with you to get the bottom of any confusion.

These POS's prey on confusion they prey on ignorance they prey on helpless scared.

You have RIGHTS and LAWS to protect you from BOGUS claims. Don't let them tell you they're going to send you to collections and they'll ruin your life over $700 pfft

LEGIT collections have rules and laws and they violate them they will be in HUGE trouble. These are scamming POS's

Same story as above. I told them I was new here. Was this what we paid previously? Well, the first year was complimentary, and they bill at the end of the year, so we owe them for a year. I told them to mail the invoice wherever they want, to put the invoice wherever they want, but they will not get a penny. If you have a few moments to waste, listen to their speil, play along like you are really concerned and buying their rap, and then tell them to put their invoice where the moon don't shine. Definitely a scam.

Type of a scam: Yellow Pages/Directories

I received a phone call from Liberty YP Media telling I owed $749.45 for online yellow page optimization for my business. They insisted that I had arranged for service 2 years ago and had agreed to pay them at the end of this 2 year term. They proceeded to tell they were signing up for 2 more years and I had to pay up front. I told them I have no idea who you are and I didn't want the service. They told me the only way I could cancel this service was to accept the invoice which I had to do while being recorded saying "yes" and only "yes". I refused, the more I refused they kept saying the would do another 2 year sign up. I told them I couldn't afford it and was told if I accept the invoice I could then take up with the accounting department. I was afraid if I hung up they would bill for the next 2 years. I tried different ways to answer their question but they kept erasing it. I now knew it was a scam but stupid me finally gave in. A week later I received the invoice in the mail. I do not plan to phone and dispute it nor will I pay it even though I was told they probably give me a discount. I know I will be sent to their fraudulent collection agency and the phone harassment will begin. Their website is bogus. When I search up my business it links up with my own legit yellow page ad which I do pay for optimization. I know there is no collection agency and they cannot take me to court because they have no lawyers. The address on the invoice is Quebec but they have spelt the word "Cheque" as "Check" and would not be using "State" and "Zip Code".
