Received a voicemail from a somewhat local number from someone named "Sonny James," who was advising me that I would be served legal notice of intent paperwork at my home or place of employment tomorrow between 1-3pm. He had the last four digits of my SSN as well as my name and gave me an 888 number to call as the original filer, along with a reference number. It sounded a little sketchy, but I called the number and was immediately connected to "Brian." I asked who this was and he stated "Marion Hill & Associates" and that I owed a debt. I gave him the reference number, he stated my name and said I owe $2200 but that if it is filed in court it would actually be $4000 and I was going to be charged with "theft of services," which isn't even a legit criminal charge in my state. He emailed me some sort of payment arrangement and told me I could "make an offer" and pay it by next week. The email was illegible and a total scam. He put me on hold for a while, while he "resent it." I was Googling some info on this company and realized I was being scammed and hung up.
I hit *67 and called the "local" process service number and low and behold, guess who answered? "This is Brian, how can I help you?"
TOTAL SCAM. They almost had me with knowing my info. Definitely scary.

I’ve received several phone calls saying I owe Ace Cash Express and that they need the money right away. They expected me to pay the money within 2 minutes of being on the phone with them. They have an old address of mine. They have my full name birthdate and social security number. I receive approximately 5 emails a day from them. Threatening to garnish my wages. The emails have typos, and gives me an option to unsubscribe. my email account automatically recognizes this as scam spam. The email reads as follows. I have removed my name and SS# for my safety.

I received multiple emails from the email list above stating they had a dunning notice for me. The balance went from 228.00, 700.00 and then 2000.00 and back down to a settled of 415.00. They told me they were going to send someone out to my house to serve me and I observed a strange man on my ring camera the same day around the time they specified. I called and they just hang up on me or tell me that I do not have the right to ask certain questions. The address given is to a vacant lot and the company name is some sort of fishing company.

This company keeps calling me and emailing me about money that I don’t owe saying that they are going to garnish my wages and repossess my car. on a daily basis.

I received a phone call from a man name Jeffrey requesting personal information on a non recorded line. This person have access to my personal information. I was threatened during this phone call .and by email. Research was conducted on this company with an unknown address

I have no idea who this is but the nerve to send me an email with a zero balance but threatening to file charges against me! There is nothing in court docs and there wouldn't be! They also are including an address that I haven't lived at in over 10 years

Stated they were a firm only using 1 call on a federal recorded line to make a settlement offer before I get served. Stated it was pay day loan that went bad in 2018. Started off over $1000 and that her supervisor authorized to collect $437. While on the phone she identified my last 4 digits of my social security number, address and an email. I asked her for original proof of original creditor which she did not provide stated she wasn't allowed to share that document. And that if I didn't make a payment I was going to be served between 4-5pm the next day. I asked if i could call her back. She stated that after our call it was no guaranteed that she will be there the next day or if she could make the same offer...

Debbie Smith had all of my personal information. Tried to collect - on the spot - over $1,000 then lowered it to $700, then to $500 then to $400. She told me that it would need to be paid on the phone at that time or a judgement would be put on my credit report. she could not tell me the original creditor's name. Threatened to come by my house with a legal packet the next day (09/20/2023). The call to my mom and dad came from 984-301-1894.
