My mom (who does not speak English well) received her Medicare Summary Notice for 2023 and it contains charges for 200 Intermittent urinary catheter, with insertion supplies every month from Feb to Nov. She never needed nor received these. They were ordered by a Hishim I Ahmed from Royce Medical Supply, both of which my mother and I have never heard. The amount charged was $19,000 and Medicare paid $14,405.22, with my mom being billed possibly for $3,900. I am calling Medicare in the morning to report the fraud.

Royce Medical Supply LLC billed Medicare for 200 intermittent urinary catheters on July 27, 2023, and Aug 28, 2023, for $1900 each month totaling $3800. Medicare paid $2916.48. Medicare sent the remainder to BCBS who paid $744. They stated that the supplies were ordered by a doctor in Michigan. I called that doctor and was told this is the second time that they know of that his name was used for the exact same fraudulent order. They have now filed 2 reports.

I reported to Medicare Fraud department and to the BCBS fraud department.

Searching the internet, I see that many others have experienced the exact same fraud. Make sure to check EVERY EOB!

Received Medicare Notice Summary for claims processed between 13 July, 14 August and 13 September 2023. The same service item was listed as three separate service charges for July, August, and September. The item Royce Medical Supply LLC charged Medicare for was a 200 Intermittent urinary catheter with insertion supplies costing $1900 each. Because Royce Medical Supply LLC made three separate charges the total amount came to $5700. I notified Medicare via their fraud hotline. I have never heard of this company or ordered from them a catheter or anything else. Medicate paid out $4, 374.72 to this company.

Royce Medical Supply LLC sent a Medicare Claim for $11,400.00 saying that I received A4353 - Intermittent Urinary Catheters, with Insertion Supplies for 6 months at 200 catheters per month. The claim started on 05/23/2023 until 10/23/2023. The one claim for the 6 months of catheters was received by Medicare on 11/20/23. Each of the 6 months was billed at $1,900.00 for the total of $11,400.00. Medicare approved the claim & paid them $8,768.28. Because they billed the 6 months at once the claim didn't come up on my monthly check but was way back in May so I did not see it earlier. The only way I was alerted was my secondary plan 65 is thru Blue Cross Blue Shield. They notified me that had processed a claim. I then went into their website & ran a check on past claims they paid to make sure I did not owe anything. There is where I saw the Royce Medical Supply bill. Luckily BCBS did not pay their part of the bill without more medical information from them, which apparently they have not provided. I called BCBS to see what this bill was & they gave me all the information. I reported it to them as a fraud, as I have never heard of this company or ever needed or received the catheters they billed for. What is really odd it the bill listed a Dr. Susan Giovanni as the ordering physician from a medical facility in a town about 50 miles from me. I located the phone number for their office to see how they could have gotten my information since I have never seen this doctor or even been there for medical treatment. Their office did a search for my name & I am not in their data base. Also they do not do business with Royce Medical Supply. They are doing their own follow up to see how one of their doctors name is being used in this Scam Fraud. I then called Medicare & reported it as a Fraud. They are doing their own investigation & when finished will update my record. Because of the way they are billing, it was easy not to notice the charge as Medicare dropped it down 6 months in my claims lists. Most would not notice something like this even if they did look at their claims as they came in. I was just lucky I found it on my BCBS claims to get this all started. I am still really concerned how this company came up with my name & information in order to send this claim to Medicare. Where are they getting my information?

Recently (12-06-2023) I got an email claim notification from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. Today (12-24-2024) was the first time I had a chance to check it out. When I checked on their site, they had paid $2232.00 to "Royce Medical Supply LLC" for claims dating from 05-03-23 through 10-02-2023. When I checked Medicare, they had received a claim on 11-20-2023 and processed it on 11-22-2023 for those same dates and they approved $11,160.00 of the $11,400.00 claimed. The claim was for: "A4353 - Intermittent Urinary Catheter, With Insertion Supplies". The last time I was in Florida was over 30 years ago nor have I any no urinary issues. The individual billed amount for each claim was $1900.00.

They made a false claim to Medicare and our insurance company for Intermittent urinary catheters, with insertion supplies for 3 months July, August and September of 2023. It appears they have accessed my wife’s Medicare number. The fraud was identified on the December 8, 2023 Medicate Summary Notice for Part B (Medical Insurance).

Informed by mail today from my Medicare summary notice that Royce medical supply llc billed for 200 intermittent urinary catheter with insertion supplies on July 11, August 10, and September 11, 2023 for a total of $5,700.00. Medicare paid $4,384.14 but my insurance denied the remainder of the bill. Reported to Medicare fraud and my insurance company. I have never had the need for any of these supplies and never heard of the provider listed as Taisia Litvinow.

- Burkburnett, TX, USA • Dec 18, 2023

Received benefit explanation from Medicare that they paid $4,374.72 of an initial invoice of $5,700. The remaining $1,116.00 would be billed to me. Services rendered were urinary catheters for July, August and September 2023. This company was in Florida. I've never been to Florida, never received any supplies. This is a fraudulent claim to Medicare on my account.

- Kalamazoo, MI, USA • Dec 18, 2023

I don't know how they got my Medicare number but I got my quarterly statement from Medicare showing 3 monthly charges for 200 Intermittent Urinary Catheters with insertion supplies each month. I never ordered or received these supplies.

- Clear Lake, IA, USA • Dec 18, 2023

I got a summary from my insurance company called my Medicare Supplement Explanation of Health Care Benefits. It listed 3 charges of $1,900.00 each for 9/08/2023, 8/09/2023 and 7/10/2023 for a total of $5,700.00 and had the provider listed as ROYCE MEDICAL SUPPLY LLC. It states that Medicare paid them $4,384.14 and my supplement Wellmark of Iowa, paid them $1,118.40. I had no medical care during that time that would explain the type of service they say they provided was ‘Home Medical Equipment.’

- Sand Springs, OK, USA • Dec 18, 2023

This company filed a claim with my Medicare for supplies that I don’t use and never received. I tried to call them and the number doesn’t work. Medicare had paid them $745 so I turned it in to Medicare fraud. My supplement insurance did not pay them because they had already detected fraud.

- Stevens Point, WI, USA • Dec 18, 2023

I received a Medicare Summary Notice saying that I would be charged $2,236.80 for 6 months of "200 Intermittent uninary catheter, with insertion supplies (A4353-KX)." I have never ever used a catheter and never have been to Fort Lauderdale Florida either. After looking up the company, I see that they are scammers. I will call Medicare, my pharmacy and get this straightened out, I hope. But I also wanted to report it to BBB. I hope you investigate and get a report in your system.
