• Apr 21, 2024

I’m going through a rough divorce and needed the extra money. I am so upset I fell for this! My experience was the same as the others. I went an entire month without looking for extra income as I was counting on getting paid from this Miranda Jammer. A month goes by, and she didn’t respond to my inquiries. Now her website and email are shut down! I need to pay rent!

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is the job title?
A: The job title is Independent Quality Inspector.
Q: Where is it located?
A: The job is home-based, which means you will be working from home.
Q: Is there training?
A: Yes, there is a one-month training period that takes place at home. During this time, you will be
learning the process and working at the same time. You will be compensated for your time at the end of
the training. Most of the communication during training will be done via email, with occasional phone
communication. Your supervisor will be available to answer your questions and provide you with the
guidance, instructions, and training needed to succeed in this role.
Q: What are the main duties?
A: As an Independent Quality Inspector, your primary responsibility will be to check the condition of goods
sent by online vendors. You will receive packages at your residence, open them, and assess the goods for
damage. For each item, you will take pictures, write a concise report, and email it to your supervisor. If the
item is an electronic device, you will only need to check the factory packaging and overall condition, not
functionality. Once you have completed the inspection, you will be given a pre-paid shipping label in the
form of a digital PDF document, which you will use to ship the item. The cost of shipping will always be
covered by the company. To affix the shipping label to the package, you may use either transparent duct
tape or peel-and-stick paper.
Q: How will I be paid?
A: You will receive your payment in the form of a paycheck, which will be mailed to you one month after
your commencement date. The first completed task will commence your 30-day probation period, during
which you will earn $3,200 plus $30 for each completed case. You will be paid via a 1099 tax form, with no
taxes taken out. To ensure timely payment, you must meet two main conditions: first, you must inspect
and ship all packages received during the training period according to my instructions; and second, you
must ship all packages within 24 hours of receiving the shipping label. Any delay in shipping will delay your
payday. After your first month, you will be eligible for 401k, dental, and health insurance, and I will ask you
to fill out additional forms.
Q: Why will the names on the packages be different?
A: Some packages are addressed to clients, and we are asked by vendors to inspect and verify their quality
before they reach the clients. Other packages will be addressed to you, and this is because sellers want us
to inspect the package to see how well their staff works on packing, shipping, and quality control. You can
think of it as a "mystery shopper" role, but without the need to purchase the items; we only need to
inspect them.

**********Beware. Goods are purchased with a stolen credit card number. Shipped to you directly to "Inspect" for a report to scammers. ( this also entails them what they have coming their way) Then you are emailed a new label to ship the goods overseas. Avoid becoming a unpaid mule for trafficking stolen goods and money. he FBI will be knocking at your front door before too long.

Just like the other reviews, this job opportunity is clearly a scam. I received an initial email from someone by the name of Jessica saying they saw my résumé and offered me the opportunity. I requested more information from Jessica and then received the email from Miranda stating I got the job contingent on completing the paperwork. This red flags off so decided to do a bit more research before clicking links and completing paperwork. Thank goodness I did.

Did you report this to the FBI, State Department, FTC? If not please do. They are still out there doing business and victimizing other people.

We have to put these scammers out of business and into jail.

The scammer posed as a job offer from Indeed, provided me with a convincing fake website and job position known as package inspector. They sent me packages I was told to send out and created a false contract I was forced to adhere to in order to threaten me into sending the packages. I was promised to be paid for my work towards the end of the month and each package would give me an additional 30$ bonus. I am young and just starting in the work force and believed them but started to get suspicious as I tried to find more information about the company.

I had the same EXACT thing happened to me. Whoever this/these people were posed as a “Miranda Jammer” working for Einheits Insurance or however you spell it. And told me that I’d be delivering packages throughout the week and that i’d get paid 30 days after my first package delivery date. i was “supposed” to get paid the first $2,400+ for the last month i’ve been “working for this company”. i asked “Miranda” about my paycheck and if i could do direct deposit “she” said yeah told me to send my information and so i did and bam nothing else. no money no contact nothing and quite frankly. i’m [censored]in furious. like BEYOND FURIOUS. like are you kidding me. i’m in my 20s and people are gonna sit here and treat us like absolute garbage. screw that. and my words are a lot nicer because i’m on the internet but trust me. i’m not happy and i don’t think anyone else in this situation is too pleased
