I was moving and googled address change usps and clicked the first link. They site it brought me too looked like a usps site. So I filled out the form which includes credit card info. I have done this before so I knew this was required and there would be a fee. Which I believe was $1.10. After I filled it out I was charged $179.95. I then immediately recieved a text alert from my bank, chime , asking if I made this transaction and if I wanted to stop it. I replied that I wanted to stop it however chime allowed it to process against my wishes. Please help me.

Movemyaddressnow.com posed as a legal address change website and scammed 179 dollars to do what costs 1 dollar

Website came up first on Google search for changing address in US and uses a federal symbol at the top. No where does it say there is any cost and fraudulently charges your credit card.

Info submitted include name, old and new address and credit card. They claim credit card is only to verify your identity. Which is false if charging that much money to the card.

Thankfully my credit card company alerted me immediately. They blocked charge pending review.

I was browsing a legitimate looking website to change my address and was asked to verify my credit card info. Nowhere did it say I was to pay anything. I looked at my bank account and $179.95 was pending! I did not authorize this.

Website was used to change address. I was charged $179.95 after submitting my old and new address

Website mimics the USPS change of address site and form. After filling everything out and going to submit the form, my credit card denied the transaction of $179. This price was not shown anywhere prior to completing the form. Name, address, and prior address were all submitted along with credit card information. Card has been deactivated and the charge never went through.

Website popped up as an ad on google search. I thought it was the USPS address change site so i clicked on it. It prompted me to fill out a form with my information (debit card, former address, current address, name) and so i did. It attempted to charge my account $179.95 but was blocked by my bank. Please warn others about this.
