Hi something I would like to add if this can help anybody. These are some photos from a Reddit conversation someone blowing the cover of new reader magazine from a little while ago. In the past they said it was linked to the company clique interface. They said it was outright a scam and that one of their friends used to work for other company. They gave the link to who Kelly Smith was. They also mentioned there was someone named Archie Villa that was a bank manager that worked for a bank in the Philippines called EastWest Bank. He was one of the few people with a normal job they said. One lawyer I talked to said new reader magazine was probably working as a shell company covering another company before I found out about clique interface. Recently on Kelly Smith's or Kelly Penales Linkedln profile it says that she used to work for clique interface. A coincidence I think not that the fake contract I was given from new reader magazine was telling me to send money to a bank account in Canada and Kelly Penales recently moved there last year to Ontario! Also somebody else that used to work for new reader magazine told me Kelly Smith had got caught scamming money even though its kind of obvious too that there was multiple people from this company scamming people because other names are mentioned too. I had a conversation with her on Instagram saying who is but of course nothing was solved. Seems some people knew about scam and some didnt. Below are some pictures. Hope this helps clear some things for somebody.

I want to warn everyone too that I had the same experience. I bought a service from New Reader Magazine last 2021 and I never saw any of my services fulfilled. Out of the blue a guy names Mr. William Borrough called me and told me he was with the magazine and that they are working on my project, I was hesitant to listen but eventually when he mention that netflix was interested in my book, I got excited. He explaine everything to me and Mr . Borrough told me that someone from the legal team of netflix will call me which they really did and explained that I have to pay $5000 dollars and will just be refunded back to me. Mr. William Borrough called me the next day to confirm that the process is legit and I believed him anyway. I paid and after that never heard from him and Netflix. I know it was such a dumb decision I've made and I just want everyone to be made aware of this person Mr. William Borrough of New Reader Magazine or New Reader Media is a SCAM person and will reap your money off. He was working with a scam company that pretends to be with netflix too so be aware.

You need to contact the better Business bureau and leave new reader magazine a review on Google. I'm actually contacted the FBI about them. They were falsely impersonating the author Christopher paolini. I got to talk to him on Facebook and he said the contact the FBI because he did as well.

I am writing this to warn other people. This company contacted me in early 2020. They told me that I already had companies interested in making my book into a film but they needed a script or film treatment. I agree to do the film treatment for $5,000. They said I was supposed to have a film deal at the end of 2020 but if something came up and it didn't work out I would get a refund. So through the end of 2020 and 2021 I kept hearing things are on delay. My contract with new reader magazine expired around February or March of this year. No one was answering my calls for a good month so I contacted the better Business bureau. After that I get a phone call from New reader magazine saying that the Netflix in the UK was interested in making my book into a film. I get the contract from the supposedly Netflix in the UK. I talked to two different entertainment lawyers, both of them said it was a scam. My contract was not being sent from Netflix. In the contract they were saying that I have to pay $3,000 for a film license, and then after that I get $200,000 for my film being optioned. My lawyer said the way they were using a film license is not how it really works. He said he has seen other contracts come like this out of the UK before I even told him it was supposedly the Netflix in the UK. And then the supposedly Netflix was wanting me to wire money to supposedly one of their field agents in Canada, saying Canada can process film licenses faster. The same name on my contract and email was the same name and email that was caught on another scam contract for another person on a scam alert website. The position that the person listed comes up under a different person's name on Google. I felt like I was totally taken on a ride. It's like yes they have a website and the magazine looks legit. But there's a lot of complaints about them now that wasn't there when I first started. I wish I would have done more research before I got into this mess. This was something I was looking forward to all during the virus.

For whoever this is the link for Kelly Smith's Instagram. This seems to be the most common name people were complaining of. I had a conversation with her, but of course nothing was solved. She goes by Kelly tralala or Kelly Ann T. Penales. She was in Cebu city originally and now has moved to Ontario Canada according to social media and from what someone else told me that worked for the company. I also recommend filing with the FBI online if you haven't already.

This is a photo of Kelly Smith if it helps anybody. This seems to be the person most people are complaining of

This are photos based on what I went through with this company. New reader magazine is linked to a company called clique interface. Probably working as a shell company.whenever Kelly smith blocked my email it said clique on it. The same name and email on my Netflix contract was found on another scam alert website from someone else that got scammed. The domain history of the email was not that of Netflix. Entertainment lawyer said it was fake which is makes it very obvious this company is a scam.

Book Marketing investment requirement. Asks for 7500 required investment. Says they will match. When asked for references they do not have any informing that "all people are required to sign non-disclosure agreement." Was supposed to call back Friday at expected time of 945 am. Call received 1115 am - no company looking to invest and make money with another person product/copyright would sluff off an expected call after they had initially approached me first. Just doesn't make sense. When asked, it was due to phone call with our investors.

When asked who the investors are " we can not tell you due to non disclosure. "

Bottom line. If anyone wants to invest in my book that is excellent but I would like to know who they are. If a company offers it services basically and requires an investment to do so I would like to know of references that have benefitted from this.

Reply email states that a negative review (there are several of them) requires 10000 to remove - an astronomical figure that again doesnt make sense.

There are many things here that do not make the grade of upfront business practices including negative reviews, wanting to ask for money for upfront, unwillingness to provide references whether due to non disclosure or not (this is the biggest red flag )
