But the position is fully remote, so there's no need for relocation.Nexien biopharma Inc., will take full responsibilities for your Office equipment. You will have 2weeks of training via zoom, you will be paid $27.00 an hour during the 2weeks of training and later goes up to $35.00 an hour when you start work.The position is open to a Full time employee working 40hours weekly or Part time employee working 25hours weekly. Your working and training hours are flexible and can be scheduled for any time . Etc

The only bad problem with me is that I give them all my information address email & cell # and also deposit the check until my gut told me NOOOO SOMETHING IS WRONG so I end the chat and block this person

It’s a Big Scam!!

My story sounds like all the others.
I received a text message which was seemingly from a third party recruiter who saw my application on Indeed. Asked if I was interested in part time or full time work. The pay was $35 an hour. When I responded I was told I had to download a private chat application for security purposes, and was given a job code that I had to give to the interviewer (Sarah Williams). The entire interview was done via text which I thought was odd but I went along with it, right up until the point when I was told I would be sent a check to pay for office equipment. They asked what type of phone carrier I had and for how long, what the name of my bank was for payment purposes, how often I wanted to be paid, what type of printer I had, etc.
It’s is a complete scam! Do not fall for it! I will be reporting them. I hope they don’t continue to get away with it and keep doing ppl dirty like this.
Also, after I went back on the chat to call them out, she immediately signed off. SMH!

They will either ask to download that one or Skype.

And also ID theft. Same exact process happened to me. A recruiter reached out to me via text, had me set up Microsoft Teams, sent me an interview code, then had the interview with the "Interview Manager". I was asked the exact same questions over Microsoft Teams. No one offered to vidchat or speak with me. They asked me these personal questions once they gave me the job offer the next day:

I went on LinkedIn to see if there were any job postings up for the company, there weren't. I emailed the actual company to cross- check. No response. They sent me an office letter with all the same wording they used throughout the "interview", seeming more and more automated.

Definitely a scam.

The same exact thing just happened to me yesterday & today but I give all my information my address phone and I deposit the check until my instinct tell me RED FLAG WHY TO DO HAVE TO PAY TO THE VENDOR AFTER THEY DEPOSIT THE CHECK SO I end the chat. What else I can do to report this what can I do to protect my information after this matter.

This organization preys upon people's desperation

My story is almost exactly like those above - I received a text message which was seemingly from a third party recruiter who saw my application on Indeed. The entire interview was done via text which I thought was odd but I went along with it - right up until the point when I was told I would be sent a check to pay for office equipment. The questions leading up to that were getting increasingly more suspect, such as what type of phone carrier I had and for how long, what the name of my bank was for payment purposes, how often I wanted to be paid, what type of printer I had. The red flags started to go up but I knew once the check was mentioned this was not a legitimate offer. I even researched their company leadership on LinkedIn and although I found them on there, when I tried to send a private message, the name of the person to whom I was sending the message was different than the profile name. I asked several of them to tell me what their hiring process was and no one responded to me. I also reported them to the FTC and made both the "recruiter" as well as the person claiming to be Elizabeth Randall that I was reporting them for fraudulent activity.

I was contacted via text by a Demarcus Simone 202-507-9816 indicating an interview, I was later asked to use teams spoke with a guy name Bridger Owen who wasted my time with the interview questions who then through skype sent me to talk to Trevor Fulmer, who gave me a the offer letter with application. They then told me they would send me a check to my email at which time I asked them to destroy all my paper work and I was filing a complaint.

I thought I was offered a work from home job for nexien Biopharama. I was super excited. They sent a check “to get materials for the job”. I should’ve known it was something wrong then. I received the check and the company name was not on there. It was under a whole different company at the the top of the check. I’ve reported it to both companies (Nexien Biopharama and the Company on the check). They have my social ! Please be aware!

Lured Me in With WFH Job

This lady Kristina Walter texted me saying her company (Nexien Biopharma) saw my credentials on Indeed. She asked if I was interested in the job. I said yes and she gave me a link to a Microsoft Teams chat, leading me to another lady named Precious Harrison. I was expecting some sort of video interview or at least a phone call but after a series of questions via messaging she told me the following day that I got the job.

Then she had me quickly sign the offer letter. Afterwards came the classic check scam. She had mentioned previously that the company would cover the expenses to set up my home office. They promptly sent a check over the next day and told me I had to deposit that money into my bank account and buy the items needed for the job from their own "private vendor". At this point I knew to just stay far away from this.

Another thing that really stood out is the fact that she said a company rep will reach out to me AFTER I have the equipment set up so I can "ask some questions, learn more about the company, and get more details about the job position."

Don't get lured in by their fake promises! They prey on those who dare to hope. Always always always do your due diligence and check up on the employers.

Remote data entry scam using a real company's name

I was Text messaged by a Jamie Dubie about a remote data entry application i submitted for a company stationed in Boston MA. They told me to set up microsoft teams and message a Pricilla Witner to set up an interview. I was asked many questions all sent very quickly after each of my answers. They told me to wait 10-20 minutes after i finished to check with managers and see if i got the job. They said i was hired even though I had yet to actually speak to or see anyone and I was told they would send me a check to buy office equipment from their vendor. I was instructed to message a Dylan Milton on skype as he would be my supervisor for training, but after receiving an email with the company application letters from a mrdylanmilton@ gmail.com, I felt very unsure as this all felt too detatched from the company and there were many grammatical errors between both accounts i spoke with. From what i found, Nexien is a real company, but not only is it stationed in Colorado (a different headquarter state than the one I actually applied for) but I also don't think they actually represented the company. I believe they are using an actual company and real company application letters to steal people's identity.
