This particular company calls me and asks for Maryann, or some name that isn't mine. Then they always say, "Well maybe you can help me" and they start to rattle off an important charity. Once it was the fraternal order of police, today it was veterans, and I don't remember the others.

They are very rude and won't let you interrupt. The first time I kindly explained I couldn't give at this time and he got very aggressive, when I wouldn't give, he cursed at me.

It is always an 816 area code number.

a recording says something about my credit card account, they want information. But I dont have a credit card, so i hang up immediately. They call at least 2 to 3 times a month

I do not know the business name and called them after seeing a commercial. I did not see the commercial so I have no idea what the company is called but my parents became intrested in a medical product they were selling that they claim could cure anything at the number 1888-611-3808. When they called a woman answered and said the treatment about $*** then reduced it to encourage them to buy but my parents rejected. So after this the same day calls started occuring from the number 312-765-7523 it got extremly annoying nobody answered when I said hello I gave up answering and just let the phone ring. I ended up calling local authorities about this number since they persisted my parents were not there when this occured but when they came home and answered the phone that number 1312-765-7523 turned out to be the woman whom they talked to about the medicine she wanted to ask if they were instrested in still buying the product. I have no idea why she would do this but clearly there is something wrong with a business that does not understand the concept of no and keeps persisting to make a sale by calling people so many times and not answering it seems more of a scare tactic, and a bullying form of sales to get people to buy. Shame on them for doing that.

Listened to some guy for about 10 minutes while he explained to me how I won grant 12k from the government. I eventually hung up on him and he called back and said “What happened, why did we get disconnected.” I said “Uhh I hung up because I don't want to talk to you, Im done with this. Im sorry.” His response, “Go and die mother [censored]er“

I've received multiple calls a day from this number about a credit card, there is a prerecorded message that says this call is about a credit card I have, nothing is wrong with the card but I need to give my information to an operator that they will connect me with. Once I connected with a live person, I told them I do not want them calling me and the "operator" hung up. I want these calls to stop. I have no idea who or what this company is doing.

Someone in Batavia keeps calling me with anything from Healthcare, to trips won, to urgent messages...... There are several phone numbers from Batavia, IL. Hopefully, you can catch these guys! *** ***

- Edinburg, TX, USA

Received a call from this number. I answered thinking it was a student. I said "Hello", they said "Hello". I said "Yes, are you there" They hung up.

I returned the call several times but only managed a voicemail system that seemed fraudulent.

Called asked to speak to me. I let them know I was speaking. They gave me my address. Then when I asked who is this, they let on like they couldn't understand or hear me. So, I told them to get someone on the phone that speaks English. Then I hung up on them. They turned around and called my husband. They tried to get him to give them my personal information. He didn't and told them not to call again or he would report them to bbb.

This scammer Recording ALWAYS starts out with, "Is XXXX there?" I get this call at least once a month. If a scammer breaks the law (calling a cell) it's ok- the laws don't apply to them.

Recording says it will lower your credit card that you have rate. Then you press 1 and a foreigner comes on in a language I don't understand I just hung up he sounds like he is angry and ready to kill. Scarey!

A computer voice called and said that my car warranty was about to run out and wanted to know if I wanted to renew it.

It said it had called before and this was my final courtesy call before my warranty would be closed.

It asked if I'd like more information on the warranty? I said Yes. It then said to push "3" if my vehicle had less than 150,000 miles on it. When I hit the button, it hung up. I believe this is one of those "Can you hear me?" type scams.

- Huntington, VT, USA

The caller stated that he was with an organization conducting a consumer survey and proceeded to ask my age and race followed by a number of yes and no questions. After answering a clear "yes" the phone call came to an unceremonious end. I thought it was an accidental hang up and then realized that it was a "yes" scam. The scammer city, Pittsburgh, and state (PA) was based on caller ID.

I received automated calls to my cell phone from this number, saying they're calling about "your student loan". I don't have a student loan, and it's clear that they're deceptively trying to create the impression that they represent a creditor, hoping that I'm somebody who has these loans.

- Johnstown, PA, USA

It was an automated message about this is the third and last chance to speak to someone and have it extended. It said ,'would you like to talk to someone to extend your Warrent? I said yes. It said it again and I said yes again and the call ended. I'm worried I may have screwed myself.

- Morehead, KY, USA

I just received one of those calls where the person asked "Can you hear me okay?" I didn't reply at all, and then he said great and started his pitch. I tried to tell him I knew it was a scam, but of course it was prerecorded, so I just hung up. I did not say "yes" at any time during the call because I had heard about this scam. I am not sure what he was selling because I hung up too quickly. This was the phone number 502-403-2945.

Received a call asking "can you hear me" and I answered yes before I realized it was a recording. I heard this is a scam and am now worried my answer will be twisted to sign me up for a service.

- Monterey Park, CA, USA

I believe the call was one of the "can you hear me now" scams I've read about online. The person calling said they noticed I had recently filled out an online inquiry for employment and then asked, can you hear me ok? To which I said no and hung up.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA

It sounded like some body from a busy office called and asked if I could hear them clearly. After I replied I could it was clearly an automated message.

- Kansas City, MO, USA

Royalsoutlets.com I order some jerseys from them and have heard nothing back. They use the Fanatics Retail emblem on their site. I have contacted Fanatics to make them aware.

- Millsboro, DE, USA

Received phone call from 877-235-1091 indicating they were going to block our microsoft account because there was an attempt to get our account information. Did not call number as we are pretty sure that this is a scam.
