I got a text message from a person supposedly named Brian bilski that said they were with Northrop Grumman and that I had been selected for an interview and if I wanted to proceed and I said yes. Then they proceeded to send me a Skype link and that connected me with a person named Susan Krieger. I looked the company up before I proceeded with the interview and looked the 2 names up and I found that they did work for this company, so I thought it was actually legit at the time. So then I connected with Susan over Skype messenger and did the interview process she explained the job duties and asked me interview questions and then she said she would review and get back to me. She then got back to me to tell me I was hired and proceeded to email me a check for $1,500 to direct mobile deposit for the equipment that I was supposed to be getting since it was a work from home job. They also emailed me their legal agreement. I direct deposited the check, and then I just had a gut feeling something was wrong. I called my bank first thing when they opened this morning and told them that I thought I was being scammed. They were able to catch it in time and stop it from going through. The scammer then proceeded to ask if it was deposited and to send the money through cash app.
