Type of a scam: Bank/Credit Card Company Imposter

I was called and threatened by a woman telling me she was going to come to my job to deliver papers to me. But, I don't even think she know where I work. Then she left a voicemail telling me to call this guy that has my case, So I did he preceeded to tell me that I owe bank America $800 dollars and I never received anything In the mail ever from bank America he told me he will send me a paid in full [censored] once balance is paid in full. He places me on a payment plan.

SCAM

Received phone call 8/31/23 about certified mail woman needed to deliver. All the info she could give was the phone number and ref number 866-757-4575/7708.
I called number (before researching it) spoke to William Bailey (?) Who said it pertained to civil action for payday loan from EZcorp from 2013 (lived in NJ) but moved to NY in. JAN 2015. TOLD HIM I DON'T REMEMBER SAID LOAN, BUT, HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT I WOULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN SAID LOAN WITHOUT JOB/BANK ACCOUNT (I WAS UNEMPLOYED FOR A MAJORITY OF 2013, BUT HE SAID I HAD TO PAY EITHER OVER $900 (TOTAL OWED),OVER $500 (1TIME PYMT) OR USE CREDIT CARD TO MAKE 12 MONTHLY PAYMENTS ($75 AND CHANGE) IT HAD TO BE DONE DURING PHONE CALL 9/1/23 OR PAPERS HAD TO BE DELIVERED. THIS 75 YR OLD SENIOR CITIZEN BEING SCARED AND FEELING PRESSURED, INTIMADATED AND HARRASSED GAVE HIM A CREDIT CARD FOR THE MONTHLY PAYMENTS. UPON RESEARCHING, COULDN'T FIND ADDRESS FOR NRS Billing and EZCorp APPEARS TO HAVE GONE OUT OF BUSINESS IN 2015(IF I FOUND THE RIGHT BUSINESS)EITHER WAY, WHY WOULD A COMPANY WAIT SO LONG TO ATTEMPT COLLECTION, HOW DID THEY GET MY NY ADDRESS/PHONE NUMBER WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM INFO IN 2013. I ALSO BELIEVE THE STATUE OF LIMITATIONS HAS EXPIRED IN BOTH NJ AND NY TO ATTEMPT COLLECTION.
AND IS THERE A WAY TO END THIS NIGHTMARE WITHOUT PAYING ANYMORE MONEY TO ? WITHOUT PROPER INFORMATION?
