1. Basically did not sign up for subscription. 2. Their subscription does not give you anything extra. Poor service. Trouble getting in contact with them.

Hearth automatically signed me up for a monthly "subscription" for $12.74 which I only discovered recently. When I called their customer service, they claimed I had voluntarily signed up for this, so I checked this claim by filling out a new order and that this was obvious in the checkout process. Nowhere on the checkout form is there any reference to a paid subscription.

Just a charge was made 12.96. No product listed

I purchased a Klear cap for a water bottle on June 16, 2021. I paid extra for expedited delivery/processings. A month later, after I already left for my trip, it had not arrived. I contacted them and they sent it out and refunded my expedited shipping fee. Now, I am seeing a charge for $12.74 each month, I never received any emails related to this charge and I do not even have an account with Oak and Hearth. I can't even look up my order. The email I received regarding my one order says NOTHING about signing up for anything. A subscription for what? I see from this site this is what has happened. Extremely annoying. Now I have to deal with trying to cancel this and get a refund. What a scam!

I ordered a Miracle Magic Ionic hairbrush. Immediately upon receiving the brush the on/off button was faulty and progressively over a few weeks shifted so eventually it couldn’t turn off. Then a few days later the rim of the brush came off. This brush had minimal and delicate use once a day on fine, straight hair. I sent an initial email two days after the 30 day money back period and did not receive a reply for weeks, and even then they ignored my concerns. Over weeks I tried contacting them. They are based in America and I’m in Australia so the 17 hour time difference was hard to work around and I tried calling numerous times over a month and had to call and explain things on two different occasions before someone in upper management rejected my request for a refund. I was fortunate I lost only $27 AUD but it’s the moral of the story which matters. Here in Australia I have never encountered such disgusting customer service combined with disgusting product quality, and I am a very frequent online shopper.
Best to avoid this company due to poor quality products and poor quality customer service.

I purchased a disinfecting UV-wand from Oak & Hearth online in June of last year for $79.97. Unbeknownst to me, Oak & Hearth automatically signed me up for a monthly "subscription" for $12.74 which I only discovered recently. When I called their customer service, they claimed I had voluntarily signed up for this, so I checked this claim by filling out a new order and that this was obvious in the checkout process. Nowhere on the checkout form is there any reference to a paid subscription. They do ask for your email address and underneath there is a pre-checked sign up for exclusive orders offer. No mention of a paid subscription on the checkout page, shipping page, or payment page. I also noted that they never sent me an email confirming my order or notifying me of the "subscription". When confronted with these facts "Camilla' suggested they may be in my spam folder. I checked there too. No email from Oak & Hearth.

So they not only steal your money but lie to you when confronted with it. I asked for a refund for the amount stolen from my account and was told that her "team leader" was in the hospital and she could not authorize the refund. I canceled my card as a precaution and reported the theft to my bank. I am also leaving this here to alert others of their deceptive and fraudulent practices.

Purchased something from their website 2 months ago and just realized that they have been charging me $12.74 a month for a subscription that I had no idea I subscribed for. Tricked me into subscribing to their monthly membership by making me agree to the terms of service. This should not be legal and I have no idea how it is. It is impossible not to checkout without agreeing to their terms of service which states that they will charge you $12.74 a month. This is a blatant scam and I have no idea how the ScamPulse.com has not done anything about this. Just think how many people a day check out and not realize they have just agreed to pay $12.74 a month for a membership they had no idea they subscribed to.

Bought a UV wand as a result of Covid-19. Oak & Hearth sent a faulty product. Does not issue refunds. They are taking advantage of people trying to navigate this crisis/pandemic. Attempted to reach the number provided, but was just directed to voicemail. Finally spoke to someone, and got cut off as soon as they pretended to help me. I chatted with someone online. They also provided no help in regards to a guaranteed refund. I searched for the address provided by the representative online. It is fake.
