I received a text from Ohio BMV asking for my name, date of birth, social security number, driver license number, state and city and zip code and my phone number. It didn't seem right that they were asking me for all of my personal information and there were spelling errors in the text.

Received the following text message: Ohio BMV SMS Alerts: Your vehicle registration expires in approximately 45 days. Visit https://oplates.com/Fees/HEW4192 for your official renewal notice.

I know this is fake because my registration does not expire in 45 days.
