Owing money to EZ Money EZ Corp

Received a call today from One Main mediation company,
asking to verify my identity. Stating that they are
attempting to collect a past due amount from 2016 and
have been trying to collect this up until 2021. Woman on
phone stated that they cant provide any original
documents for this said claim, but that they will be
available when papers are served. If I was to pay a
reduced court cost bill then the proceeding would not
continue. I'm having a hard time believing this legitimacy .

I had the same exact experience today. They called threatening to garnish wages, leans on property and court/lawyer fees. Trying to collect an ezmoney ezcorp loan that I allegedly defaulted on over 10 years ago for a measly 500 dollars. They wanted to settle right then and there, and that if the phone call terminated I would be sued. They had a lot of my personal information. These people are good at what they do, but do not fall for it.

Amanda Lewis called my cell phone asking for my husband saying she was collecting on behalf of Easy Loan a payday loan from 2016. She knew his previous employer, as well as our banking institution and home address.

Company name used was One Main Mediation. Company number used was 855-365-9903 and 802-538-0891. Said her name was Amanda Lewis, Attorney, and was trying to collect a payday loan dept from May 2016. They had the last 4 digits of my social security number and name of my credit union. They were trying to collect for a payday loan from Easy Corp, Advanced Payday, Easymoney Payday. She said there was a civil suit in the county I live in and I was being sued. I called my County Clerk's office and they had nothing filed for civil suit. Amanda Lewis said they had been sending me mail to my current address and I wasn't responding. I have never had any mail sent to me from the above company. This also happened to me in August 2023. They were using another Attorney's name, that was actually a real attorney's firm that is in FL. I found online that this was a scam as well.

Same thing is happening to me as we speak same name Amanda Lewis. Now they are calling saying it's a process server with multiple names but calling me private number until today they called but went to vm and it came back on reverse phone look up as a chandra ford in rialto ca. They have an old bank account last 4 of my social telling they have mailed me info from 2016. None of which I have received froma. Payday loan from jhs payday but the week before was ez pay. When I start asking questions they get frustrated and threaten me and hang up but call again a couple days later. Now the threat is a process server calling me. Starting to get real frustrating

Called me and said they were calling regarding failed collections actions for their client EZ Money/ EZ Corp. They claimed I took out a loan between 2017-2021 that was to be paid from my XYZ Credit Union (they said the name) account, but never received money as promised. I said I had no record of ever taking out a loan from such company and asked if they could send me loan documents with my signature and details on all collections efforts. They said if we could not settle this over the phone they would send a discovery packet and I would be served through the courts in XXXX County (my county). I said sounds good, I will keep my eyes open for such documents and share them with my attorney. I have not yet been served (this was only today)

Called me today too. One time these scammers use this same tactic to almost get me. I immediately hung up and looked up the number to find this article. Glad I did cuz they tried to call again and this time I ignored it.
