Scam. Fraud.

On 6/11/24 morning I purchased a flight from Washington to London on the VFLYUS.com site and received a booking confirmation. In the same day’s afternoon, I got a call from their representative Mike that I need to immediately call them back, so I spent more than an hour of time on the phone with Mike and a manager Ron. They told me there is not possible for them to provide me with a seat in the flight that I purchased, and that I need to pay about $1500 to be able to fly (with already booked and prepaid flight). They also told me that I am in line with other 26 people that are overbooked for this flight. (I assume they might be selling the seats that were not available at any time, at all) It was not acceptable to me.

They did not have any clear response to my question “why should I trust your words now, if you once already violated your obligations to me?”, so the trust to this business was lost.

During the actual sale/ purchase procedure, there were no any notice/announcement on the vflyus.com that the price is not guaranteed, or the flight is not guaranteed, when purchased. There also were no statement anywhere during the purchase process that the payment is not refundable. I have documented the process, evidence are available.

Since they could not fulfill their obligation for the services they sold to me, I requested a refund. Response was that "No, even if this is not your (my) fault, we will not receive a refund your payment". Further in the discussion, I agreed if they can provide me an alternative flight, but they still wanted me to pay even larger amount in addition to what I already paid, and the flights would be in the inconvenient dates which would cause the extra costs in the destination.

Therefore, Vflyus clearly scammed me as a customer, and I lost a significant amount of money :

1. Vflyus is selling unavailable seats on the flights.

2. They display attractive prices on the website, and confirm the booking.

3. Vflyus does not have any notifications before or during purchase procedure that the price is not final, or that the payment is not refundable (by their fault)

4. After payments, they call to the customers, and tell them that their seat was sold to someone else, pressing customers with the artificial contingency to pay 100% in addition.

5. They refuse to refund the payments that they accepted payments for but could not provide.

Gotoflyer seems to be a scam site. I have had exactly the same experience as many other customers: I booked two flights from Florida to Arizona yesterday, for $273. Shortly afterward, I got a call: “these flights are no longer on offer; you have to take other flights for $488. But as a bonus this price already includes checked baggage.”
.
I said I wasn't interested in that; I just wanted the exact flights I had booked - or to cancel the whole booking. The employee became very unfriendly then and said that wasn't possible. Only when I asked for his boss did he reluctantly confirm that he would cancel the "booking".
.
Incidentally, half a day later the "unavailable flights" were still available at gotoflyer.com.
.
The whole thing seems to follow a system: A Website offers cheap flights in order to appear on top of the rankings and search queries - even though these flights don't even exist. Can you imagine buying four pounds of steaks for $60 at Walmart - and suddenly being told at the checkout "Sorry, the $60 just changed their price; you now have to pay $120!"?
.
That's the principle behind gotoflyer.
.
I then booked via Google Flights. It was more expensive, but I got the flights I wanted immediately and without any problems.

Booked flight with Gotoflyer on their website. Received confirmation email which stated tickets to follow shortly. I Later received a call stating that they were not able to confirm tickets at price quoted and that they wanted $600 more than the $400 I originally booked at bringing the total to around $1000. Told them to just cancel the whole booking. They told me it was not possible as they are non refundable tickets, but she could not provide me with ticket numbers so that I could try and confirm with the airline. When I finally threatened to call **** to dispute and reverse the charge they backed off and sent an email saying my card would not be charged. I’m pretty sure if I had agreed to the new amount that there would not have actually been any tickets.

I was attempting to book a round trip flight from Great Falls, Montana to Salt Lake City, Utah. A website called Go To Flyer popped up out of nowhere, with my trip destination and date, offering a ridiculously low fee for the round trip flight, which was $245.00. Delta airlines flight 3859, economy class, round trip. I had recently flown this same flight with Delta at the end of January, and paid around $450, so obviously this was a sweet deal! So I book the flight. Less than 15 minutes later, I got a phone call from Go To Flyer, and a gentleman with a very thick Asian sounding accent starts telling me that the flight I booked (economy, flight 3859 with Delta) was completely full, and they could only book me for 1st class for $465. I found this to be laughable, the last time I flew to Salt Lake, midweek, there were only eight people on the entire flight. I went back on the internet, and checked Priceline.com and the same flight was offered, Delta 3859, economy class, for $385. I asked Go To Flyer to cancell my booking, which they did. I believe this company is using the bait-and-switch method to sell higher priced tickets. And I DON'T believe the company is in the USA.

if there is a zero or no-star rating, then bestticketfare.com deserve it. This website (bestticketfare) is a scam website with a bunch of liars ranging from supervisors to managers. Be careful and be aware to their scams and ways to take your money without providing any services. This is a scam alert. They scammed me into paying for two airline tickets and they did not send me the ticket numbers or confirmation. they asked me to wait for 48 hours to get my confirmation after I paid $2475, which is the total cost of the airline tickets as they confirmed in their website. Then after 24 hours a man claimed to be the manager (Alex Carter) called me and said the tickets has increased to $2674. I paid the extra $200. Then I called after another 24 hours as I did not get the ticket numbers as they promised they will be shared via email. They told me the tickets has increased to $3500 and i have to pay the $900 extra to get my tickets. By this time, I did not have time as the travel time was only after 2 days. So they waited till the last minute to tell me that they scammed me and took my money without issuing tickets.

I called what I thought was the JetBlue customer service line that was displayed on a Google search result to help me book a flight. I spoke with a man who gathered all the necessary flight information and my credit card number. I was sent a suspicious "confirmation" email that was not from an official JetBlue account and I immediately cancelled my credit card before any charges had been made. In addition to the 888 number I was connected with, the "representative" named Sam Wilson also reached out to me via text from the number 214-764-8497, threatening to cancel my flight confirmation if I did not pay the fee.

I booked a flight on privatelowfares.com, and someone called me right afterwards saying that my flight was cancelled because the flight was no longer available. They tried to get me to pay around three times as much for a new flight and threatened to charge a cancellation fee if I did not book a new flight. I told them that it was their business cancelling, not me, and he gladly informed me that the company booked my return flight and it was just the departing flight that was going to cost me three times as much. So, it seems like they "booked" my return flight so they could hold the cancellation fee over my head while attempting to get me to pay hundreds of dollars more for the departing flight. Maybe this is technically legal, but it's definitely a corrupt/bad faith business practice. The number they called me on was 646-693-5355.

A company called Grandairfares misrepresented themselves as working in partnership with Copa Airlines for processing flight cancellations. They collected a fee of $150.00 with my credit card information in order to keep the original ticket "on hold" for future use. When I called Copa Airlines, I brought this matter to the attention of the agent and she highly advise to put in a reclamation or claim because Copa has no knowledge of this company.

After hours-long holds to speak to the airline to add our TSA numbers to our tickets, I looked for another number online. A site popped up promising no wait times, online 24/7, displaying the airline's official logo. Called the number and was told my booking was PENDING because the price had changed while I was paying for my tickets online. Wanted an additional $577 to keep the booking. Suspecting this was a scam, I said I would need to discuss this with my travel partner and would call back and he gave his direct phone number (888-502-2596) - nobody does that from toll free lines… Interestingly, the airline's website went down right after this for maintenance. While the site was down, I received an email saying my voucher request (cancellation) was being processed and they would get back to me, this included a case number. Looked for a more legitimate phone number, reached a real agent who was able to cancel the voucher request and verify our seats were paid in full and not pending. The agent was going to submit a fraud report. Thankfully, we were able to save our trip and lost no money. Also, upon searching for the reservationmachine.com website, we found it had been removed and is no longer accessible. Beware! Talk only to the actual airline!

I tried booking a roundtrip flight from (MIA) to (PUJ) for $189/ person. The total cost was going to be $567.00 for three. The next day, I received an email stating, I had to call to make the confirmation. A gentlemen by the name of Jose Garcia, who spoke spanish, answered. When I told him, why I was calling and gave him by booking #***********, he placed me on hold. The he told me that the Airline American, had changed its prices to $1200/ person but that if I paid $450/person I was going to be fine. I told him I couldn't pay that much money for a flight and the response I got was, If you can't pay , then why fly. I told him that wasn't non of his business. I that I was going to report to the BBB, because people are being lied to.

The scammer claimed to represent United Airlines. He told me that the seats I had purchased for my Newark to Paris flight on Tuesday, July 25th had been given away. He told me that if I paid 200 per person, I could be put on the next flight available. When I declined this and hung up, he called back. He said United offered me a disxount of 149 per person and that if I paid it immediately, I could be put on the next flight. He said otherwise, I would have to pay over a thousand dollars if I took a flight the followimg day. I ended up paying 447 dollars because I had foolishly believed him.
