My cousin was contacted by a man calling himself Rahul Makin. He told her that he was an immigration lawyer who owns a company that connects health care workers with possible employment. He was looking to hire recent graduates from PSW programs who were originally from India. He told my cousin that he could find her a job and help her get her PR status. My cousin believed him and gave him her information, after he took her info, he told her that in order to process her application he needed an initial payment of $500 just to fill out the paperwork. My cousin agreed to pay him the money, but after she talked to me I told her not to believe him. I searched the supposed lawyer and this guy is impersonating a lawyer. he is a scam artist who frequents colleges in Ontario targeting Indian students with the false promise of getting them employment and processing their permanent residency. I hope he gets investigated and his fraudulent activities stopped.
