Hello,

I had sent 2 parcels with personal belongings (aquarium + accessories, guitar, sports gear) from the UK to Austria and the recipient (my husband) received an SMS saying we needed to pay taxes+import duties+admin fee of € 127.00 by 27/05 following this link backoffice-tax.dpd.com/8ZDKmu (the link is no longer active but the document with the payment request is attached).

After we refused to pay, both parcels were returned to the UK, with only one of them being delivered (the guitar + sports gear) and the other one (fishtank + accessories) missing.

On June 3rd, ParcelCompare sent an email to me and my husband (recipient) that the parcel (fishtank + accessories) has been delivered to him. It obviously wasn’t. (photo attached).

The DPD app kept saying the parcel was either on its way, or they missed me, or they returned it to the depot etc.

After talking to multiple customer service agents, I accidentally find out that in their system my parcel is under ‘broken and disposed’. No one notified me about that.

My parcel is insured and I wanted to get a refund, sent an Excel spreadsheet with a list of items and prices, a PDF document with the invoices, as well as a couple of pictures of the parcel prior to its collection. (invoices in a PDF document available).

ParcelCompare are unwilling to refund, saying that it’s basically all my fault, that my items were not professionally packed, that they are on the compensations exclusions list etc. (correspondence available)

Now I have lost both – the money for shipment £68.69 (invoice attached), as my parcels had never reached Austria, and the content of the parcel which amounts to over £360.

I`ve tried to send a parcel to US and paid £135 for this, after the payment was taken from my account an error showed up saying that the labels cannot be generated, I contacted the support team and they said that the reason for that is because it was after hours when I tried the service and should wait until the next day which I did and guess what, my shipment disappeared completely from my list and then I realised this service is a scam and called my bank to report this issue, I need to wait 15 days for the bank to investigate, so please DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

I have send 2 packages from Uk to Poland got them picked up from home by DHL, when they got to customs they were stuck there for a week and custom charges and never been send out !
So they send packages back to me.
So I payed 75£ for sending them 78£ for customs to get them back and now they charged me 147 £ for shipping back !
I got scammed and robbed by this company.
No phone number live chat don't work and email takes ages and they don't answer why they are robbing me no help at all .
So please don't use this scammers

I have been charged an absolute absurd £184.82 for 14.50kg which absolutely ludicrous. 

I've attached a picture of the item that was returned, in the picture it shows the NET WEIGHT of the product I had purchased and returned using UPS via your intermediary site.

The NET WEIGHT stated for the product is 31kg, I understand that does not include the weight of a box, only its contents.

SO HOW ON EARTH DOES A BOX THAT IS 90CMx50CMx50CM WEIGH 14.50KG? AND WHY THE HELL IS THE CHARGE SO RIDICULOUS, THE ORIGINAL PRICE  PAID FOR THE DELIVERY WAS £31.91.

I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS WITH THE SERVICE AND WILL BE POSTING THIS AS A REVIEW EVERYWHERE I CAN REVIEW YOUR COMPANY AS I KNOW THAT YOUR COMPANY IS ADDING EXTRA FOR COMISSION AND I FIND THAT ABSOLUTELY ABHORRENT AND DISGUSTING. YOUR COMPANY SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY ASHAMED OF ITSELF. SHAME!
RIDICULOUS FAKE SURCHARGES

Total shambles ended up with our goods being destroyed and our charity lost £4000. DO NOT USE - Go direct to the couriers as the middleman will make any resolution required very difficult. I have never reviewed anything but am angry that this company is in business.

Do not use this company at any cost. The whole set up is a con, measured my parcel filled in the form and paid £17.80 including vat for parcel to be shipped by UPS four days later the have charged me an additional £79 and claimed the parcel was oversized. And over weight by 56kgs the goods in the box only weighs 7.8 kg. If you want to appeal you must show photos of the package with a tape measure along side each dimension and with the shipping label. So if you do decide to use them please take plenty photos prior to collection or you don’t have a right to appeal. Reading other reviews apparently this happens to a lot of customers. First time I’ve used them and it will definitely be the last.

An utterly risible company. I used them to arrange having a parcel sent and found out two weeks later that the parcel had been lost en route. ParcelCompare have repeatedly refused to refund even the cost of the delivery despite it being clear that it was lost by the courier, and have refused to arrange compensation for the lost items even though I paid for the extra insurance. ParcelCompare claim they are still "searching" even though I have been told that the courier has closed the case. Customer service is almost non-existent and utterly abysmal when you do finally get a response. They refuse to answer any questions and have refused to indicate if or when they may ever "resolve" the issue despite it having now been four weeks since the parcel was lost.
Risible service

I wish I had read these, my experience is the same as everyone elses, they take your money and your parcel, then when they have your bank account, they continue to take money out of it. The only way to stop it is going directly to your bank and stopping any future payments. I can't believe they are allowed to trade this way and no one has stopped what is obviously fraud. They have taken over £300 of my money and goods before I put a stop to it. I have nothing to show for this experience except high levels of anxiety and stress. Please don't use them.

I tried to send a package internationally for Christmas. Got it sent back saying I hadn’t attached the correct forms. I requested a refund because they wouldn’t send it then unless I rebooked the delivery. I’ve had nothing now for over a month. I’ve complained via email but still nothing. No phone number to contact either.

The company is a SCAM. We paid for a parcel collection. They never collect it. We asked for a refund and they asked us to pay 6£ on top before giving the refund. We did not pay the additional charge as we have been ripped off already. Do not trust this company. There are many reviews on their website but I believe those are fake as I can't add one there

This company are con artists! Over 2 weeks I still undelivered a simple parcel of trainers,shirt and 3 books, since 18 of May 2021, destination Holland.

They blame (Parcelcompare) DPD and DPD surprise surprise, blames the third party, Parcelcompare.

Don't trust your goods to none of them!?

Awful company! Please avoid, I wish I had read the opinions before I hired it.
I used it to send 3 boxes to Spain, I paid customs and an enhance insurance. The boxes were retained in customs and returned to England. After weeks of emailing the absolute useless agents, because there is no telephone number (and now I understand why) I finally got the boxes back in England after 9 weeks. They were absolutely destroyed, with many things broken and some others missing. Parcel Compare blamed me as I should have known that Spain didn’t receive any parcels from Uk due to brexit (I thought that was THEIR job) and they didn’t pay for the broken items because the enhance insurance does not cover anything apparently. The agent, Kate Hunter, even had the cheek to offer me £15 credit to use within 10 days! For what? To break me more things and steal more money from me? No thanks!
So after 3 months of dealing with this disgusting company, the boxes are not in Spain, I had to throw away the broken things and I couldn’t do anything with the missing things. I basically wasted my money and time.
Please, avoid, AVOID!

Do not use this company. We shipped a sink that was professionally packaged (from manufacturers) and they smashed that £150 sink into bits and charged us £40 for an enhanced insurance that they say now does not cover the damage. The sink is in bits. They had the cheek to offer us £15 credit that needed to be used by them in the next 10 days - what for them to smash up again? Thieves. DO NOT USE!

Get charged for your parcels to be thrown away

If you want to pay for a fraudulent company to explain to you why they actually won't deliver your parcels and threaten you to throw your parcels away if you won't travel internationally to pick them back up, you have come to the right place. Don't miss out!

‘Zero Stars’ this company just do not deserve to be in business and certainly don’t deserve any stars. I would implore people to go direct to the parcel company, these days the pittance you save is not worth the lack of Customer Service you get when required. I would like to say that I first used Parcel Compare a few years ago, I was very impressed then and wrote a review to say so. How things have changed, the service, care and support really couldn’t fall much lower.
I have a very small business, this year was very hard for everyone without any additional trouble. I needed to move my stock from the UK to Bulgaria before the end of the transition period. Through the year I had been sending 2 or 3 parcels at a time, I had a few niggles, but nothing could have prepared me for the last few shipments. Sadly they were all sent in quick succession so there was no way of knowing, believe me I wouldn’t and won’t ever use them again.
I had a shipment of 3 parcels each weighing approximately 29KG and obviously very large too. They arrived and one was missing, the other 2 looked like they had been kicked from the UK to Bulgaria. I got in touch straight away and was told that they would investigate, which could take up to 14 days. In the meantime I had to provide a list of the items involved. This was fairly easy as it was all stock that was to be shown on a TV show. The time passed and I kept asking for updates, cutting a long story short this went on for over 3 months. I had contacted the CEO of DPD by this time.
I was so relieved when I finally got a claim form, I had lost so much by this time, I had to give notice to my design team, as I couldn’t sell much as the items lost formed part of collections. I had continually told them that the longer it went on the more damage was being done. I filled out the claim form. Since then they have disputed ownership my products, despite providing invoices, they refused to accept bank statements which clearly showed payments. I contacted the company and asked if they would provide company receipts, they did, all signed and stamped with the business stamp along with a document confirming all the invoices were paid, this was also stamped and signed. Parcel Compare came back to accuse me of editing the documents. I can prove they were all sent to me by the company by email. I have provided everything they have asked for again and again.
This has gone on and on, they have asked for the same information over and over again. The have declined my claim and as a goodwill gesture credited the account with 15.00, I would never use them again, I would rather get on a flight and collect things myself.
I have been suicidal, it has been devastating, thousands of pounds of stock lost. It’s a very small concern it’s devastating.
The other shipments that I mentioned, there was so much damage in one, nothing could be retrieved. It is a polite warning not to use this disreputable company. If you need any help or assistance you will not get any and going to the courier itself will not help as the contract is direct with Parcel Compare. The only time you will get any help is when it is to pay for a shipment, apart from that they couldn’t care less.
It is totally beyond me how a large parcel weighing nearly 30Kg can possibly go missing, it is complete incompetence and shows sheer lack of responsibility. I was proud of my ‘Craftascope’ Brand of Craft Products, now I just can’t continue, they have destroyed everything. Please don’t risk feeling as bad as I do. They have made me feel like a criminal over the last few months. I never thought I could be affected so badly, but bit by bit they have destroyed my confidence and ruined any chance of recovery. Below I have added a few photos of the paints I mentioned and just one proof of purchase I mentioned in my review.

Terrible customer service
All three parcels sent on a consignment arrived damaged. One of the parcels also had £200 worth of goods missing. I was offered a £15 credit as a "good will" gesture despite my shipment being fully insured. Not recommended parcel2go are a much better choice for honouring insurance claims

Parcelcompare appears a good idea but beware , They quoted me £13 pounds plus about £4 for collection the pacsge was collected without comment then two weeks later took more than £130 pounds from my account. Almost impossible to contact them . Don't go near them

They are scammers said my package was over weight, I know it wasn’t as I weighed it 3x times to be sure I had the correct weight, they also took £127. Out of my account as a surcharge, I haven’t finished with this company yet

Arrange collection of parcel through another company. Then 2 weeks after delivery state parcel has been audited and supplied dimensions and weight were supplied by customer incorrectly. Original price £28 - new price £127! Monies will be taken from your account automatically (they keep bank details so they can do this without customers permission). My dimensions and weight verified by the end receiver. My package was an unopened item returned to this UK company who 100% agreed my supplied weight and dimensions. PARCELCOMPARE will not accept this and continue to demand more money. This has happened to hundreds of other customers who have also been threatened with debt collectors and court action to recover the debt. They are a bunch of fraudulent scammers with the sole intention of extorting money from innocent people. Do not use this company they need to be shutdown.

Hiya I've also had problems with Parcel compare. Is there anywhere that you would recommend, I could report them to?

Absolutely DON'T recommends this COMPANY. When your parcel is not delivered or a recipient didn't have a chance to pick the parcel, it's sent back without your authorization. You will be charged 3 TIMES the postal fee you have already paid for the service WITHOUT your APPROVAL. ABSOLUTELY NOT!
