Pet scam Reports & Reviews (376)

- Kent, WA, USA • Jan 16, 2024

The Riverview Siamese Kittens & Cats web site was fairly professionally made, and it appeared to be a legitimate business. I contacted them about purchasing two female kittens named Ella and Rosie. They provided me with an Adoption Contract [which also had the ScamPulse.com stamp on the bottom] and a 1-year health guarantee after I provided them with regional information of closest airports , etc. Payment was made via PayPal and they told me to process it as friends and family to avoid the PayPal service fees. Once payment was made and cleared, they contacted me that they kittens would be shipped directly and the shipper contacted me with travel arrangements. The shipping company is called Global Movers Delivery CO. https://www.globalmoversdelivery-co.com/index.html They provided me with a tracking number and would be in contact with me throughout their travels. This afternoon they stated that the kittens are in Salt Lake City UT and cannot be allowed to proceed past without a $2010 refundable pet insurance plus the following:

The Insurance and Quarantine service center for the US PET CONTROL, which is the second Port of checkout, requires an Insurance Certification proceeding the shipment of this Kittens in law

Many jurisdictions around the world have enacted statutes, which forbid cruelty to some animals (PETS), but these vary by country and in some cases by the use or practice.

In the US, cruelty to animals is a criminal offense and one may be fined or jailed for up to five years. On February 15, 1911, the House of Commons introduced the Protection of Animals act on behalf of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to

Animals (R.S.P.C.A.). The maximum punishment was 6 months of "hard labor" with a fine of 8500.00 Dollars.

Aggression against Cats, Dogs, and People. In Cruelty to Animals and

Interpersonal Violence: Readings in Research and

Applications.. Press Release, 159-167. Jail Term 25 Years in Prison The said insurance Certificate is Refundable upon arrival of the Kittens

If the insurance certificate is not provided within 24 hours, we shall place the Kittenss under PET ABUSE AND ABANDONMENT, which is punishable by law according to the rules above.

The cost of the Re-fund-able Insurance Policy calculated by our statisticians are calculated below.

ORIGIN OF THIS INSURANCE SCHEME

This insurance scheme was introduced to protect the lives of animals, pets and livestock traveling within the US and EU. This is because animals and pets have lost their lives, and airlines or travel agencies have usually been forced to pay huge amounts as compensation. For this reason, the Life Insurance Scheme for Animals was introduced so that if anything happens to your animals during transportation in case of accident, wrong delivery, lost or dead, the Agency will be free from any charge, as the insurance will cover the compensation or fee placed on them and not the agency. So you will be fully refunded by the Insurance Company that insured your animal or pet.

SOLUTION TO GET YOUR PET ON its WAY.

It will take a day or more depending on the Insurance Corporation to fully insure a pet with Valid Insurance Permit to be given a pass to be transported within the US. V3Cargo is ready to provide a Partial Refundable Insurance Scheme that will guide the life of your pet during this delivery. However, you will be required to deposit an insurance fee, which will depend on the Worth of your pet. From the above, the Life Insurance fee you are supposed to deposit to V3 Cargo is (2,010USD) and your pet can travel through its lifetime through the US/UK/EU without any problems. Due to a good number of complaints by clients of numerous shipping agencies about this Insurance Scheme, the US/UAE Union Animal Aviation Commission came out with a Refundable Animal Life Insurance Scheme. Therefore, we provide the Following;

You could use our Partial Insurance Scheme to insure your pet's Life. This cost is 2,010 USD. This will guide the life of your pet only during the rest of the transportation and 100% of the fee will be refunded to you in Cash once your Vet approves the pet's Health upon delivery.

ADVANTAGES OF THE REFUNDABLE INSURANCE SCHEME

The advantage here is that the deliveryman in cash will refund 2,010 USD to you upon delivery of your pet at your doorstep the second advantage is your pet gets to travel to your home for just $10 thus benefiting from the cost reduction we offer.

Majestic Australian Shepherd is offering older puppies at reduced cost due to new litter being born. My daughter emailed them and received videos and pics. She asked for a FaceTime call to see dog and personality and lady said her hubby doesn’t allow due to security reasons. Upon further investigation they stole the pics from an Instagram account started in 2019.

- Albuquerque, NM, USA • Jan 06, 2024

Michael, the breeder reached out to me after I inquired about the puppies online via text message. I asked him if we could speak on the phone and he was willing to do so. When we spoke on the phone, he was professional and answered all questions. I could hear puppies barking in the background. He followed up with pictures showing how the dogs are shipped and everything they come with. He told me that he was shipping out 4 other dogs the next day so he would get the 2 puppies (Star and Sparkle) sent at that time. Michael kept in contact with me the entire time that evening via phone. I paid the 60% deposit fee ($570) of the total $950 cost for 2 puppies via ApplePay. The next day Michael contacted me again to let me know that the puppies were being sent to delivery agent for delivery. He sent me the transfer of ownership paperwork for both dogs as well as the tracking number for the puppies. The puppies were supposed to reach my destination that evening around 8:55 pm. He was shipping them via Skyway Express Delivery. As you can imagine, we were excited to get our new puppies. I then received an update to shipping stating that the puppies were being held in Arkansas because they were examined by a vet and the puppies needed medications to regulate their temperature and a climate controlled crates as their temperatures were dropping. I was told by the delivery company that this was going to be an additional $1200 per dog to rent the crates ans get the medications for the dogs and the dogs would be delivered the next day. Concerned about the dogs, especially given their size, this seemed like a reasonable request, so I paid the requested amount. I was assured by the shipping company that this would be fully refunded once the puppies arrived. This was all communicated to me via email and chat with the delivery agent via their chatting platform. The next morning I woke up to emails from the customs pet control agency stating that their was an issue with the puppies being released because they needed a USDA certificate or they would be placed in quarantine for 6 months. It was $1500 (per dog) for a category c certificate. Of course I was enraged when I heard this and was told by the Arkansas Pet control agency as well as delivery representative that this was a new law that was passed and the money would be refunded once they delivered the puppies. I did some research and did find that the category C permit is a real thing and that it is required by some states. Once again, worries about the puppies, I sent the money, this time via Amex gift cards because ApplePay wasn’t working. The puppies didn’t make it to my home that night because they said they needed the permits to be signed off by their board so they were valid. This came from the Arkansas Pet Controller. Then today (1/6/24) I woke up to an email telling me that the travel documents were expired because the breeder only made them valid for 24 hours and it was over 24 hours that he puppies had been at the Arkansas location. The entire day (1/5/24) I had been in communication with the delivery agent, Arkansas Pet control department, as well as the breeder. I asked for pictures of the puppies but was told by the delivery company that they were at a different location and they would send pics when they were getting loaded in plane. They were supposed to arrive by 8:55 pm on the 5th, but of course they needed an additional $1000 to complete the signatures needed to process the refunds. They said this was needed to process the paperwork that the delivery agent will give to the receiving airport so the courier could get the cash refund and give me cash upon arrival. The morning of 1/6/24 I was then informed via email as well as phone call that since rhe transfer paperwork was expired it was going to be an additional $1600 per dog to get the expired paperwork taken care of so the puppies could legally come to NM. I spoke with the delivery company agent at (984) 283-9710 and he informed me that the puppies could not be released until this was done, that this was not a scam, informed me I could alert authorities, but that would delay the transport of the puppies and if we didn’t get done today they would have to wait until Monday to be shipped. He also told me that he would be able to give me a discounts and process the paperwork for $2500 total, so once again, not knowing if the puppies were there I complied and sent the money. I was told by the Arkansas Pet Controll agency that because the puppies had already been transferred to my name they were legally my responsibility now, and I could face charges for not taking care of them. I then received an email from them again stating that $1000 dollars was needed to process the refunds. They sent me a signed certificate showing that the refunds were to be processed, so it seemed legit. I had also been talking to the breeder via text and he assured me that this was legit and that this has happened before but it wasn’t common and all his clients had received their refunds. I paid this and I received and email with updated delivery information. The puppies were supposed to leave on the 5:45 flight and arrive at 8:30 PM. I then received an email asking me to send them the certificate of ownership which I did. Arkansas Pet Controller then said that the certificate needed to be in my name and was completed incorrectly and it was an additional $800 to complete said paperwork for refund. This was sent via ApplePay. The last email I have said they will be delivering puppies on Monday and no other money would be requested. I still don’t have puppies and have sent a ton of money to them. I then discovered that this company was a scam. I didn’t have the time to do research during these days because I was busy trying to comply and get the tiny puppies home to me. These sick people played on my heartstrings and vulnerability.

- Ogden, UT, USA • Jan 06, 2024

This person was very believable. Initially found a Facebook post and then asked for my number. We have text back and forth many questions and answers about the dog, it came down to asking a deposit and I told her I would only pay in person. She urged me again, saying there are other people wanting to take her. I offered to meet as soon as possible but she brushed it off, asking for a deposit. She comes across as very genuine, be aware!

I found a website that was selling blue iguanas, which my son was interested in for his birthday. I proceeded to check out and was notified different options of how to pay. I’ll decided to Zelle the payment and then got confirmation of shipment. After it was shipped I was then asked for $125 for insurance. A couple of days later I was asked for another $210 for something else which is when I realized it was a scam

Contacted seller about Frenchie bulldog puppy. Had the same picture on 2 different reviews with two different names. Refused to send live video or talk about parents. Other puppies had different backgrounds. Called me stupid for asking questions. STILL have same pictures and same birth of 10, 11 weeks ago. I contacted around 12/30/2023.

- Queensbury, NY, USA • Jan 01, 2024

Made inquiry on website. They contacted me about the dog. We discussed payment as the cost was 700 for the dog and free shipping. I sent total of 700.00 via paypal friends and family at their request. I got sent tracking information to express air pets. From her and the website expressairpets.com/track/. They sent an email requesting 2000.00 for asoecialed crate for travel which would then be reimbursed when the dog was handed over. She requested 2000.00 in gift cards as payment. I bought them and sent her pics of them. Then i got an update on the website that the dog was en route. This am i got another request with this shipping company to pay 4000.00 for document transfer of pet ownership. We discussed that i do not have this money. I asked why none of these fees had been discussed. She said it wasnt her responsibility.

I tried calling the number listed as their contact. It was google assistant. I asked for my money back. Her response was lol. Now im out 2700.00 for wanting a dog.

Michael Baumburger pretended to have shiba inu puppies for sale. A signed contract was reached and all communication was through faceboob messenger. A fake itinerary and confirmation of delivery details was sent. No puppy ever arrived. When I called out his scam he locked me out of the facebooks group.

I attempted to purchase two hypo allergenic Siberian kittens off the facebook page called Kittens Ranch. I put the deposit down of $300. on 11/29 to

Ken Montano 281-250-6538. Then on 12/1`3 they said I need to pay #$100 each for medical vaccines and exam. I paid this to Sagona Contracting 838-435-6204

[email protected]. This transaction was rejected, and the next day they gave me this info to make the payment. [email protected] name is Dallas Falls. I sent the $200. Then Fernandez with a Caribbean accent from Kittens Ranch, phone number 516-744-0413 told me he wasgoing to deliver the kittens last weekend. Then he said he couldnt do the delivery, and the shipping company needs me to rent a special crate to safely transport. them to the tune of $500, or I can purchase the crate for $1000. I refused to put any more money out. He then offered to bring the kittens himself, and he would rent the crate. He said he needed the final payment of $300. to make the delivery. Unfortunately I paid him via zelle, to Kenneth Simpson [email protected]

I sent the remainig money, and never heard anything about the delivery. I tried to call, no answer. I tried to reach them via facebook, and they blocked me. I've sent several messages to the phone number above, but no response. Grrrrrrr....... I'm so mad!

Looking legitimate website, went through a seemingly legitimate process. Became sketchy when it came time for shipping. Used Google Pay, Chime, Apple Pay, and PayPal

He claims he is a breeder of Chow Chows. No proof of pups. Claims it’s the law to give him money for said puppies before he will give any info

We were looking for a new puppy and thought we had found the best one for our family for Christmas. The scammer requested a down payment of $500 to reserve the puppy and on the date he was supposed to ship/arrive they asked for the rest of the payment. He was “coming through a delivery service” and arriving to our residence which seemed awesome. They gave us a tracking number and this website:

https://gfshipping-center.com/track/

The tracking number worked so it seemed very legit. He was supposed to arrive at 10pm. When it was 11:30pm I contacted them via email and text. They responded very quickly but didn’t seem to be too worried about a missing dog. Fast forward to the next morning I decided to do some research because I had a weird feeling. And now here I am. Wishing I would have researched more before I purchased. But we were so excited for our Christmas puppy.

I emailed PURE SIAMESE CATS & KITTENS HOME to inquire about a cat. The listed price was $400. They asked for my information, such as my address, local vet, , how soon do I need him, etc. I answered all of their questions but found is suspicious that that anytime I had questions, they were ignored. Suddenly the price jumped from $400 to $600 to have the cat send from NC to MD. I sent them a final email inquiring about the cats' parents, was the cat spayed/neutered, was the cattery registered to any clubs and they ignored it. I believe they got suspicious and stopped answering me. They said they were located in Charlotte, NC on Dogwood Ave and few hours later I found a complaint from another woman who was scammed by them as well. They went under another name before ([email protected]) and they scammed this woman out of $700. The information they gave her is the exact same information they gave me. You can read her complaint here. https://www.scampulse.com/uniquecoonzcatterycom-reviews. I'm 100% positive these are the same people under a different name.

It was then, that I decided to search their number 704-943-3131 and got a hit. They are Scammers!! Please be aware and do not share any info... I really hope they are held accountable for what they are doing.

First I sent $500 Phillips Phillips to purchase a Cockatoo. Then the Cockatoo was shipped, a few hours after the invoice was created, I got an email with urgent message that $999.00 needed immediately to deposit pets insurance…..that’s was the start of the suspicious, then I’m talking to the sender, Phillip and he assured me that just sent it to them because he doesn’t want any bad happens to the little cockatoo. I want the bird so I Zelle them the $999.00 after insta pets received $999.00 through Zelle, the second email indicating that the parrot cannot ship because it require $1500 for cite permits and they want money right away through Zelle again. I fell for it for the second email because the sender Phillip had already paid $500 for the $1500 that was required so he ask me to sent another $1000 so that I can get the pet soon but I can’t send it to insta pets delivery company because at that point, my trust with insta pet was gone. So Phillip told me I can Western Union his wife, Kishia Ayuk the $1000. At that point I still trust him because he have sent me his ID front n back. Do after they got the lat $1000 from me this morning, in the evening insta pet delivery or Phillip it may be same group sent me another urgent email that the parrot need a box in order for them to ship and the cheapest box is $500 that I must Zelle them right now as I’m typing this

I searched for a ragdoll cat using google and up popped these sites. The websites and ads looked real and were on Google, so I trusted them. I paid $650 for a kitten plus $150 shipping and expected to receive my kitten. But then they said that due to the weather conditions there was a problem and they asked for a $2000 deposit for shipping.

I lost $800already and at that point I stopped paying for other costs.

Today, I was searching for adoptable basset hounds, and found the website *************************, which I shared with my fiance. We found a dog we both really liked, and send an email with my name and phone number requesting more information. I received a text confirming they had seen our request, and that they had emailed me information and questions about us to see if we would be a good match for the puppy (******). The email came from the address *************************************. When I sent the email, we promptly received confirmation that we would be a good fit, and all we needed to do was to pay the adoption fee of $900 and we would be on our way to creating a contract for adoption. I had difficulty sending money, as all of the apps that I had warned that there was a potential scam. Not realizing that this was actually true, I send $250 to the phone number *************** after several attempts through Apple Pay. I attempted to send the remaining money over through a Zelle connection to jean rose (the name I was given) with my bank, but was unsuccessful. The Zelle account was registered to **** ****** at ************************ I had multiple CashApp failures sending money to ***** **** ** ************* and fraud warnings, and finally purchased gift cards for Apple to send the remaining $650 that we owed. As soon as the money was sent to the phone number , we were then asked to send another $1500, $1600, or $1800 to pay for the crate to ship the dog to us. This is when I realized that I had gotten scammed, and decided we should back out and request a refund. This is also the time that I requested assistance from my fiance to help communicate with the alleged breeders of the dog. The payment of shipping was not mentioned in the email or on their website. The website says that the shipping of the puppy would be free. My fiance (using my phone), then asked what services they used to send the dog from Minnesota to Oklahoma, and they said "runway or delta". They said they would provide us with a tracking number and flight number, then requested us to "please can you choose the crate so we can get this done so we puppy can leave on time". We asked if we could pick the puppy up in person, and said if not, we would like a refund and apologized for the inconvenience. They replied with "Is not possible". We asked what was not possible, then they responded that they will have to resell the puppy before we could get our refund and stated that when they resold the dog, we will get our money. They stated that they were disappointed and angry, and we said that we would report them to the police. They asked what for, and we replied that we requested a refund for the $900 total we had sent or provide information to pick up the dog in person. We also stated that if it was a scam, we had started the process of reporting them to the authorities. They responded with "If am a scammer am sure you will find so many bad references about me online" then followed with a picture of a stuffed travel crate with a dog toy and blanked saying that was the bag packed to send with the puppy. We replied with, "If you are not a scammer, why are you holding $900 of money I just sent you for a dog you will not allow me to come pick up". They said "Okay if you can refund me the $400 i paid for shipping you can come pick up" and "that is not refundable so if you can refund me the $400 you can come pick up the puppy whenever you are ready". I will reiterate in saying that there was no mention of a non-refundable deposit on the website, nor in any email correspondence or text before this moment. We replied with "Send me the address to pick up the dog, and I will bring $400 cash. I am not sending any more money without proof that this isn't a scam." They replied with "Am ready to send you a video of the puppy and also vet records of the puppy". We said :If you are not able to provide a refund or a pickup address, I'm assuming you've stolen $900 and will return to reporting this". They said "Nope you have to send the $400 now and you can sign your contract as proof of payment", then sent us an address and asked us to stop threating them. They then said "If the $400 is not sent i will look for someone else to get the puppy so i can refund your money". We asked "Why can you not just send my money back? If you're stealing my money or not providing a dog for me, I'm going to report this as fraud and theft". They replied "When the puppy is sold you will get your money back". We asked "Why does that have to happen? I sent money today - please send it back; I didn't have to sell a dog to give you money". They replied with "Everything was already done". We requested proof of what was done, to which they responded " Registration and everything was done already which is not refundable and i told you already" and "and if you keep calling me names will get my lawyer involved". We had not called anyone any names, and were simply requesting proof that this entire purchase was not a scam.

They are set up online as a ferret breeder, they asked $350 for 2 ferrets thru venmo. Once paid they needed additional funds for shipping and crating. Than they told my son they need money for veterinary services and a release from customs at JFK. They continued to come up with more reasons to collect money. Once he stopped paying they refused to refund him money or give him any proof of his purchase. We have 3 of their venmo account information now they have said hes not getting his money or the ferrets. I have all the text messages showing they were intent on selling him ferrets and also text where we verified they lied about locations and vetting and customs and venmo reports showing they basically are laughing that they got his money and he got nothing.
