We were trying to purchase a puppy online. Saw one on a website that seemed reputable, everything took place over email for the conversation part. When it came to payment they asked for transfer via chime bank or zelle. We have sent them $900 which was for both the puppy and shipping cost (700 pup, 200 shipping) however once we recieved notice that the puppy had been dropped to the carrier service and sent tracking information to another website which also seems like a scam (no phone number, only live chat that turns into a email) we were informed "due to weather" the dog will require a ac crate which was going to cost another 1,600-2,000. They said the payment will be refunded cash upon delivery of the pup qt rhe airport which makes no sense. They linked the address to a breeder of who has good ratings, upon further review i gave that breeder a call and they let us know that we arent the first ones that this has happened to.

I was looking for a Dachshund puppy for sale online. I google searched and stumbled upon Semterry Dachshund Puppies. Before paying for the puppy and signing any contracts I just did a search online using the testimonials on their website. They have pulled the testimonials from an Australian website.

It looks like the puppy I was interested in is also on a website that no longer works. https://shrimpludachshundpuppies.com/available-puppies/

If you look at the first testimonial on https://semterrydachshundpuppies.com/testimonials/ it’s exactly the same as one of the testimonials on this Australian website: https://www.favorite-minidoxies.com/reviews.html as are many of the other testimonials. They asked me for some information. I gave them only my city and state and didn’t give them any money but I know they are a scam website.

My wife was looking for an inside dog for our kids. She came upon this web site https://www.lauramarie.shop/. She messaged back and forth with the lady. The lady told her that it would be flown for free and for a $100 the dog would be delivered to our address. My wife used my PayPal account ******************* to send her the $900 (800 for dog and 100 for delivery) and did it friends and family to her son Frank Mofor @FranklinMofor796 ([email protected]) at her request. This was sent on 11-13-23. On 11-17-23 my wife got an email from [email protected] it stated that the dog breeder didn't have the right carrier for the plane and that we would have to purchase one for $1950 which we didn't do. We then asked for our money back with no response. I contacted PayPal but since my wife used friends and family I may not get the money back. The scammer tried to get us to do Zelle here is the info Zelle ID : 3342920783 Name:Tracy Green Amount: $800 Memo: "Brenda".

What happened

I ordered a Belgian Malinois puppy on Facebook from a fraudster. I sent a 300 deposit and a 200 akc registration fee by Apple Pay to someone claiming to be https://www.facebook.com/williams.aderson.0 We communicated back and forth, and he sent pictures and videos, it all seemed very legitimate until I received a demand for $1000 delivery insurance from a company at this website www.star1logistics.com. They mentioned that they would refund me 998 if i did this. I demanded they call me and got bounced between google phone lines 678 824-5411 and realized it was a scam.

I got online looking for a Vizsla puppy. I saw this website and outreached them. They had puppies and would also transport. The email exchange seemed okay but then they asked me to send money to their son's PayPal. They sent me the account and when I clicked on it a whole other name came up. I outreached the supposed family via email due to no contact number. They are selling five puppies online. When I asked for their info. I received a "I am a Christian" response with no info about them

OK, We normally use approve pet shippers such as IPATA, Delta airlines, City Express Delivery, and Fidelity Express services which are specialized in the transportation of live animals and take good care of them during shipping until they arrive at the receiver’s home. The puppy will be accompanied by the shipping company’s puppy nanny until delivery to your home. Max will cost you $800 plus an extra $200 dollars for delivery to your home. After registration of the puppy at the shipping agency, we will provide you with the tracking code number which you can track to know your shipment status.

Pet scam - they only text and email. No live person to talk to. Sent money via Western Union, received a Dog’s Bill of Sale but never received the puppy. Now, no response from seller.

- San Pedro, CA, USA • Nov 12, 2023

I had reached out on their contact page and was responded to via my email address I provided. They provided pictures through the email of what I was to receive and the process that would ensue. I paid for the product with a credit card through ApplePay. Everything was going great until I was contacted by a shipping company (of the sellers choice) that shipment was halted until I paid more funds. I refused and have not been contacted by either the seller or shipping company despite my efforts to reach out. There are more than one business involved with this scheme.

She sells Dachshund Puppies on Facebook under Dachshund Puppies Group. The scammer will encourage you to put deposit down for the puppy either by Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle Pay. Scammer then gives you fake tracking no. and a fake air shipping carrier website. When you go to the fake website, you can input in the tracking no. And it will give location tracking info of city or state for the delivery is at. In this case, the carrier used was Glo Freight Limited and their website is glofreightltd.com. Then you have to text the carrier at this phone # +1 740 966 1698 to get shipping updates. Then, the Glo freight agents will text you with excuses such as paying a refundable puppy insurance, or paying for a special crate, or pay for city limit permit, or pay for quarantining the puppy, etc. The carrier agents will come up with excuses after excuses to rush you to send payments through Zelle Pay or PayPal friends and family option.

Horrible experience. Emails not returned about skunk I bought from them. They said shipping was their partner Cargo airways who gave me the run around.

- Lemont, IL, USA • Nov 09, 2023

I paid for the kitten to be shipped they said that the shipping agency needed more money for the crate (additional $1500). I figured out who the woman is. I’m not sure where she lives but somewhere in Los Angeles I believe.

- Windermere, FL, USA • Nov 08, 2023

Wanted to buy a Maltese puppy and found the website and was contacted by seller. I sent the money for the puppy and then additional money to rent specialized crate . Was given 2 different dates for delivery of the puppy. Never delivered either time now seller will not answer calls, texts or emails. The transportation company was American Pet Lines located in El Paso Tx., and they too have been none responsive.

I purchased a french bulldog from a breeder out of state who seemed legit but in the end they did not advise there is an additional $1800 for temperature proof crate used in flight that was supposed to be fully refundable and then said the cost is used to help prevent puppy milling and dog fighting. How is that money to be used if fully refundable and why would my puppy need temperature safety if flying in a pet safe airline with clientele to care for her. Sounds like she was going to be put down with the luggage. This company had a good believable website, reviews and communications until they received my deposit and final purchase amount which included her flight. The cancel and refund has yet to happen and i have had no contact from them since. Im on my 3rd request. A bill of sale and contract was signed by both parties. [email protected] is a total scam, super friendly at first but very negative when the additional fee was not paid. This fee was never discussed nor is it in the bill of sale and contract.

We contacted a cattery named “Pure Siamese Cats & Kittens Home” selling Siamese kittens for $400. They looked authentic and send us pictures and videos of the kitten, ‘Solo”, we were interested in. They asked for extra shipping cost of $200. We paid them and they confirmed that they had sent Solo to shipping company. Then another company name “BoothDoor Pets Delivery service” contacted us with Transfer of ownership document for signatures. We thought we were all set and was ready to receive the kitten by evening of Nov 6. Then the company contacted for extra refundable money for bigger crate. They accepted Amex gift cards. We paid as their website and contact person sounded authentic. Then the kitten was detained in Orlando airport due to the plane carrying an infected puppy. They asked money for expenses, and pet insurance which were paid. Then they Sid the kitten got bitten by mother cat and needed medical attention and was asked to pay for medicines, doctors fee. All these were through Amex cards. We should’ve been alerted sooner. We got alerted again when they asked for some more money for city permit and import license. Then, we looked at the cattery site selling the kittens and found that the kitten ‘Solo’ was still available. My husband contacted them with another email and they confirmed the kitten is still available for sale. Please do the needful to stop this scam. Pomeranian puppy pet scam on Facebook sent money owner for puppy $200, then asked $150 for shots. Shipping agency asked $160 for ownership paperwork, $550 insurance, $1250-$1850 for special crates, $750 express car, $250 each for vaccines, and $550 for microchip. Every time sent payment they asked for more kept insisting most would be refunded upon delivery of puppy. Kept saying if didn’t pay puppy would be sent to shelter. When threaten to dispute transactions and report them they stated to go ahead that nothing can done about transactions. Also, that I would be charged with animal abandonment charges.

We think we are being scammed by a cat breeder and their delivery service, we paid $600 for a siamese kitten and that fee was supposed to account for all shipping vaccinations and more. However this shipping company told us we need to pay an additional $850 for a crate, which was not previously mentioned. Then we we tried to transfer this $850 via zelle, our bank was unable to verify the receivers email and they then directed us to provide them with cash gift cards to make the transaction instead. They went as far as threatening us to have the kitten taken to a shelter after 48 hours and have us charged with animal neglect.
