I recently was scammed by "Anthony Miller", "Max Richards", and "Mario" from "Post Grad Services". I was offered a guarantee of student loan forgiveness and the "company's" handling of all applications and processes involved with such.

I was contacted by phone initially. They are supposedly located in Beverly Hills, CA and correspondence by email was through [email protected]. 888-818-8450 and 888 918-7313 are the phone numbers by which I was contacted.

Apparantly one of the documents signed by me stated that I would have 3 days to cancel the agreement if not wanted. I think it must have been fine print. So after 3 days they become more aggressive in their attempts to receive the "required documents".

After I submitted the documents, I noticed that I had received an email from the US Dept. of Education stating that my log-in information to their website had been changed.

By that time they had already withdrawn $550 from my bank account.

In addition, even if they really had provided the service, what they do not tell is that you can go to the US Dept. of Education website and complete the whole process yourself for free. It really wasn't even that difficult and only took about an hour or less.

DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THESE CRIMINALS, FULL STOP.

When I contacted them to confront them, their defense was that the 3-day agreement for cancelation/refund was signed.

Anthony contacted me a couple days ago. First red flag was he seemed very nervous and in a rush. He tried to reset my FSA password which I shut down promptly. Fortunately I did not fall for this scam as FSA will never contact you asking for your password, or in this case he was trying to be sneaky about it claiming it was his security code and mentioned nothing about resetting my password until I had asked him why he was trying to do that, to which he replied , so I can access your loan. Hope you sleep well at night, "Anthony".

I received calls from an 877 number regarding student loan repayment forgiveness. I was contacted by someone named Max Richards. He asked for personal information regarding my place of employment, how many people lived in my home, and if I worked for a non-profit employer. All very legitimate sounding questions in terms of student loans. He also accessed my FSA account with me confirming the code that was sent to my cellphone to log in. However, Max then stated that I just had to pay a one time fee of $500 to be enrolled in this program to have my loan repayment term go from 240 months to 120 months at $0 per month. It seemed way too good to be true, so I researched and could not find anything on their website about legitimacy or accreditation with the Federal Government or Department of Education.

Benjamin called me from the number list above and stated that he could get me approved for program for student loans forgiveness. I talked with him gave him general information anything you could find publicly. He "found" that the company I currently work for is considered non-profit and I could reduce my term from 240 months to 120 months under the program. I said that sounds great he would have to send me a form for my HR to fill out to verify my employment, sound legit up until he states underwriters came back and said that they could approve to payment methods for the enrollment fee. Two payments for 250 or one payment for 400. I stated what if could not afford this he stated, with no hesitation, I could stretch it to three payments of 167. When I stated that when I researched that there should not be any enrollment fees in student loan forgiveness programs, he stated that is if you try and get into these program on your own, we charge a fee to guarantee we get you into these programs. If we were not a legit business how would we still be in business. This was a red flag comment for me because why are other scams, drug dealers, or any other illegal business still in business, they haven't gotten caught or held responsible for their actions.

I then responded with what about the FTC Game of Loans policy? He stated I have never heard of that and I stated the quote of never having to pay for enrollment into programs such as these. He stated I am not pressuring you into entering the program through but trying to save you money. I said let me think about it and he sent me the attached email and said he will follow-up.

I recently received an email correspondence that I assumed was associated with Capella University and the student loan forgiveness program. Which after paying them I realized was a scam through a third-party company. To my dismay, I shared my personal information with this company and had to freeze my credit along with my bank account. I am reporting this to the school (I know you all had nothing to do with this incident) to make you all aware that this happened to me, and it may have happened or will happen to another struggling student resident such as myself looking for some relief from the financial burden of having to pay back our loans. I am grateful that I discovered this fraud within hours of being scammed but I feel for and worry about those students who weren't so lucky. Below is the information that I have for the company, I learned that they are not registered with the better business bureau, so I am taking the steps to expose them myself. I know now to read the and research before believing.

Company name: Post Grad Services

email: [email protected]

website: http://www.postgradservice.com

Names of whom I spoke with there:

Max Richards- he made the initial contact using the email with Capella listed.

Mario- I assume he's the owner and orchestrated the fraud (he literally cussed me out when I called him out for scamming me.)

Kendal- did the processing of my funds ($250, they had me locked in to pay four payments of this amount.)
