- Inwood, NY, USA

The scammer was offering puppies for sale. Deposit required to hold puppies. Final payment due upon delivery. Zelle was used for payment.

Address and pickup were given. Upon arrival. The homeowner knew nothing of the situation. Suggested possibly we had wrong address

- Chesapeake, VA, USA

This website/person claimed to be a Great Dane dog breeder. They claimed to have puppies available with what seemed to be a legit website. I went back and forth with them and got to the point of purchasing a puppy. I attempted to FaceTime with this person and that’s when it got shady. I was very close to sending them the money for the dog along with shipping fees. I just hope that it does not happen to anyone else because all of their website and most of the back and forth seemed legit. Definitely a scam.

Nikki Patrick Kelly, I was buying a

Teacup Yorkie Puppy that she was going to deliver to me.

Her fee for the puppy called Luna

Was 450.00.

She was transporting from her home in Georgia.

While on the travel to my house in Wilmington North Carolina she said she got a flat tire and needed money to get fixed so I went into my cash app and she said to send it to her Husband

Dana Dixon for 100.00.

Then a few hours later she texted me and said they got stopped by the police stating they could not deliver in North Carolina because they did not have a permit. So I sent another 50.00 dollars to her husband again from my cash app and then they said they needed 200.00 to pay for permit. At that point I said no more.

I had to send the 450.00 to her son’s account threw my PayPal in the beginning and his name was Enrico Palmer.

I requested a refund from PayPal and cash app but no results.

So I’m out of 625.00 because I was believing everything she said.

So I still want my money back.

- Albion, MI, USA

Dog purchased from breeder on facebook. Seller & courier said dog was in transit but then courier began requesting additional fees for crate, rabies, city permit, etc and making threats against quartantine of dog, vet expenses and non delivery if not paid. No refunded fees and no dog delivered.

On March 21, 2023, I thought I was purchasing a teacup Maltese puppy. I paid $622.39 through PayPal with my CitiBank credit card. They told me that the shipping would be $200.00 payable through PayPal with my bank card. I paid and on March 23, 2023 Jimteacupmaltesehome.com called me and told me the puppy was at the airport and gave me SilvaFox Pet Courier Agency would let me know about the flight to the nearest airport. After they sent me the flight information, they then emailed me with a crate charge of $1000.00 $1200.00 or $1500.00 which I would get 95% of that money back when I pick the puppy at the airport. I did not have the money for the crate, so I got no puppy. Ii would like to get my money back. I have been scammed.

Paid $600 for a Maltese puppy. Then I pai $200 for shipping then the SilvaFox Pet Courier Agency out of Chicago, IL. Wanted $1,500 for a crate. Of course, I could not pay that amount. I called both Jimteacupmaltese.com (402)382-1663 Omaha NE, and SilvaFox. Neither returned my calls.

Claims to be liscened dog breeder for 10 years , only wants money through Zelle or cash app says can’t use PayPal goods and services “someone hacked them before “ but then turns around 2 sentences later and says they are at max in their PayPal account, but then 2 emails later states he’s setting it up pushes for payment and pushes to

My husband started searching for Vizsla breeders in Florida and Vizslas Creek popped up. He sent me the link so I can contact the breeders. I did and immediately received a text then an email. I had already selected my choice of the available puppies so he did send beautiful pics and even a video of the lovely girl. In my email I did ask about what guarantee we had and that i didnt feel completely comfortable sending money in hopes that I would be sent a dog. The reply was that i was an excellent choice for the dog and began to tell how to proceed but never addressed my major concern. I must say they have lots of information and ask the right questions. Not to mention all the pictures of the dogs. I started to get more suspicious this why I looked them up and saw someone complain about them. I also looked at the other websites they have with different dog breeds but funny how the story and name of dog is the same. SCAM, SCAM SCAM...

Scammer has a website posing as a miniature schnauzer dog breeder. Claim to be a wholesome homeschooling family but upon making a phone call to said “business”, it is a person from another country scamming for money thro PayPal. Insists it all be paid through Friends and Family and all upfront. Makes lots of contact with you through emails but has no dogs and when called out on the scan, promptly hung up and disappeared. We believed this to be a legit site and tried to purchase a dog but after several weird vibes after the initial few emails, coming from very poor language usage and insulting and pressuring texts, we realized it was a scam. Thankfully PayPal had lots of safety precautions in place and we also finally realized what was going on.

- Jber, AK, USA

Scammer has multiple accounts to send money to that is unverifiable through the business website. Very aggressive through text when payment wasn't fulfilled. I sent a very small amount of funds to confirm some type of payment made and they will continue to follow through with no confirmation other than pictures of the animal. I should have known due to the location provided (Not found) and the phone number provided (Landline traced) which is most likely a burner phone. Cash app is under Monserrat Heredia. The sales contract is a two page document with typos. Sellers information is nonexistent. Just a tactic to get your address and name and phone number associated with that address.

- Wilkes Barre, PA, USA

I have purchased a dog off of someone on Facebook. We both signed a contract and I also had a letter showing paid in full. It came time for the dog to be delivered and of course more fees that were refundable, well they kept playing us saying they didn't get it. So, there was no dog delivered.

- Belgrade, MT, USA

We contacted Bernese mountain creek via website. They only communicated through email. We paid $1000 to have a puppy shipped to us through a "reputable transport company". They are now saying due to weather conditions, delivery is delayed. Won't answer phone calls.

I am in a similar situation with them. Did you ever get the puppy?

- Wadsworth, NV, USA

Selling puppies and then charging a large amount for a crate to ship them in. No puppies arrived.

+1

I was searching to buy a puppy from a breeder and the page’highlanddoodles638’ had 15k followers in instagram. Their both instagram and facebook page in the name of James Barren looked legit. I read each comments under their videos and pictures to see if anyone had mentioned scam but didnt find any. I have messaged them and they have replied genuinely. They said the puppy will be delivered through nanny service to my home or I might have to go and collect from airport. I have paid for a toy golden doodle. The date of delivery was April 26th 2023. And at the same day I found that they have blocked me. No response from them.

- Reidsville, NC, USA

Advertised on website and Facebook that a puppy name Lily was for sale for $1,200. The fee included the delivery by a "pet nanny" from a service called Best Delivery Agency. We paid a deposit of $600 using Zelle, received a tracking number from the delivery agency via email then another email from the delivery agency stating "due to current weather conditions" a special crate would need to be rented and used ranging in prices from $1,800, $1,500 and $950 and stating this fee would be refunded upon delivery if we did not want to keep the crate before they would continue with the delivery. Seller also sent me a text to ensure i saw the email from the delivery agency. I responded to both stating the seller could pay the additional crate fee and be refunded since their price was supposed to include the delivery fee. Seller no longer responds to text, email nor will they answer the phone and the delivery agency responded stating it was not the responsibility of the seller and they would not reach out to them for the crate fee. I have requested my money be returned multiple times and have not received a response.

- Loudon, TN, USA

The details of the scam are exactly the same as Scam Number 702752 with one exception. The amount I lost was $725. Even the name of the puppy (Lily) was the same.

- Vandalia, MO, USA

I purchased a puppy from Ms Hellen Magela in Louisville KY on 4/20. I was told she would be delivered on 4/21

[email protected] contacted me saying they needed $1200 for a insurance fee that was refundable upon delivery. I could not send that much money. I tried in small amounts and it would not go through. They had me buy gift cards and wanted the picture of the cards.

I did it.

Then I got another email saying my puppy has arrived in missouri but there is a city permit fee of $450 that is also refundable upon delivery. I paid it. They said they never received it. I had to buy another gift card for them, got confirmation from my bank that it went through.

Hellen never mentioned any of the fee's. She blocked me on Facebook and with her phone and email so I have no way to contact her.

I have the sales contract and I have the papers that she is registered in my name. I have Hellens address, phone number, email, her husband's email who said he would contact the delivery company and get back to me but never has. Nobody is telling me what's going on. Her tracking number still shows "Out for Delivery"

She has been out for delivery for almost 24 hours. I am furious. I am out $3k over all of this. That's a lot of money. I need help. Nothing in the contract states these fee's just agreed that she would have my puppy delivered safely. She has failed to have my puppy delivered.

- Herriman, UT, USA

Emailed with generic adoption info and did not ask about us as adoptors immediately wanted to set up payment through apps.

- American Fork, UT, USA

Pet scam selling teacup puppies. Texted us personally. Very nice and helpful. Went through similar screening process as other breeder to make sure pet goes to a good home. Posed as a family breeder with kids at home helping with puppies. Once we paid for the puppy they asked for more money to secure a special crate to ship the dog in. This is where they got lazy though- the shopping website was incomplete and the emails they sent were not professional. That’s when we realized.

- Fountain, CO, USA

I was want to purchase a puppy I saw on the website. I paid the initial payment. Then the shipping company MVP Logistics asked for 1200 for insurance. I asked them to send me a picture to prove they have the puppy. They sent the same one the breeder sent. They have threatened to turn me into the insurance police if I don't pay or come get the puppy
