- Vandalia, MO, USA

I purchased a puppy from Ms Hellen Magela in Louisville KY on 4/20. I was told she would be delivered on 4/21

[email protected] contacted me saying they needed $1200 for a insurance fee that was refundable upon delivery. I could not send that much money. I tried in small amounts and it would not go through. They had me buy gift cards and wanted the picture of the cards.

I did it.

Then I got another email saying my puppy has arrived in missouri but there is a city permit fee of $450 that is also refundable upon delivery. I paid it. They said they never received it. I had to buy another gift card for them, got confirmation from my bank that it went through.

Hellen never mentioned any of the fee's. She blocked me on Facebook and with her phone and email so I have no way to contact her.

I have the sales contract and I have the papers that she is registered in my name. I have Hellens address, phone number, email, her husband's email who said he would contact the delivery company and get back to me but never has. Nobody is telling me what's going on. Her tracking number still shows "Out for Delivery"

She has been out for delivery for almost 24 hours. I am furious. I am out $3k over all of this. That's a lot of money. I need help. Nothing in the contract states these fee's just agreed that she would have my puppy delivered safely. She has failed to have my puppy delivered.

Emailed with generic adoption info and did not ask about us as adoptors immediately wanted to set up payment through apps.

- American Fork, UT, USA

Pet scam selling teacup puppies. Texted us personally. Very nice and helpful. Went through similar screening process as other breeder to make sure pet goes to a good home. Posed as a family breeder with kids at home helping with puppies. Once we paid for the puppy they asked for more money to secure a special crate to ship the dog in. This is where they got lazy though- the shopping website was incomplete and the emails they sent were not professional. That’s when we realized.

- Fountain, CO, USA

I was want to purchase a puppy I saw on the website. I paid the initial payment. Then the shipping company MVP Logistics asked for 1200 for insurance. I asked them to send me a picture to prove they have the puppy. They sent the same one the breeder sent. They have threatened to turn me into the insurance police if I don't pay or come get the puppy

- Shallowater, TX, USA

They advertised a puppy online. The requests for payment were strange. They wanted a screenshot of everything. They were very pushy. I contacted my bank and they said puppy scams are very common. At the last minute, they told me I would need to buy a 995$ crate so the puppy could be shipped on a plane. I PAID 500$ OF THE 995$ FOR THE CRATE. I feel completely scammed. I refused to pay anymore. I said once the puppy was in my hand I would pay the remaining 495$.

My mom found a Pekingnese puppy through jpekes. She does not have zelle or apple pay so she asked me to pay for it. The email told me to zelle his wife the $700. I have a weekly limit of $500 on zelle, so I sent that and was going to send the additional $200 via apple pay. When I inputted the email it said that it was not a valid recipient. After I got that message, I started digging around and found an incident that was reported to the better business bureau regarding jpekes. I then looked up the names of the "happy customers" on the website and there was an identical website for Papillions. At this point, I knew it was fake and demanded a refund back for the $500 that I had already paid but he just insisted that he was legitimate. After that email he started getting rude and insistent that I send the remaining $200.

- Pueblo, CO, USA

This scammer used copyrighted information from a real breeder's website for their scam website. I filled out a contact form about a puppy that was listed for sale, the scammer then emailed me more information about the "puppy" including photos and video as well as texted me. The scammer interviewed me (like what real breeders do with potential buyers) via text message (the whole process seemed very legitimate). I paid for the "puppy" via Venmo and then was emailed a proof of purchase and transfer of ownership for the "puppy" from the scammer. I was given tracking information for a scam pet travel agency (which has an almost identical name to a real pet travel agency) and then was scammed thousands of dollars from the "travel agency". This scam agency sent me emails and follow up calls answering my questions and saying that I needed to purchase pet insurance and a new pet carrier and said that it would be refundable upon arrival of my "puppy". They continued to send me "tracking updates" until I realized that this process was not making sense anymore. I brought this to their attention and then the "pet travel agency" stopped answering my calls or text messages. I clearly never received my dog and they stole thousands of dollars from me.

The scammer offered a Doberman puppy for sale and required a ZELLE acct deposit. Deposit was made and upon arrival to pickup the dog we were sent to the wrong location.

- Hinesville, GA, USA

The start of this scam began on Facebook trying to purchase a puppy. The page was for Australian Shepherd puppies. The administrator of the page said that the puppy was only $600 and $200 for delivery due to the fact that the breeder and the victim did not live in the same state. The breeder claimed to be located in Louisiana. The breeder then directed the victim towards the shipping company called stateskcargo. The company then reached out to the victim requesting a long strain of money ( receipts are attached below). The company continued to delay the delivery for 3 days. The day the puppy was supposed to be delivered the company cut off all contact along with the breeder. The breeder then reached out a week later and claimed that the delivery person and puppy had died in an accident.

We went on Instagram to look for a puppy to buy. This guy we saw on Instagram mentioned that he is a dog breeder, and he can sell this puppy to us for $600 we liked i.e. Cavapoo, and get it delivered to us at our home in Shrewsbury MA after a week. We agreed and transferred the money on 4/10/2023, signed the transfer document, and finalized the transaction via email TYLOR HUDSON <[email protected]>. A couple of days later we get a message on Instagram about the Air Freight delivery service tracking information i.e. https://flightnannydeliverys.com/ with tracking # WPC029859995966-PET19

During the delivery date, we get a message from him flight nanny pet movers flying out the puppy with a nanny. Then I get a call from flight nanny pet movers (+1 843-481-0812) for transferring $1200 for the crate for pet traveling which will be refundable upon delivery. We did transfer the $1200 for the same since it was refundable and got a receipt via text message. After an hour the pet movers asked to send $1100 for insurance which will also be refundable. This was the time we realized that this was a scam so we said that we would not transfer any more money and wanted the delivery of our puppy now. After this, they don't take our calls or no number exists after an hour.</[email protected]>

Hello M.Christiansen,
I am so sorry to read that you were also taken advantage by "Tyler Hudson".
We also found him advertising via Instagram. After we reached out, to make us feel better he offered to Face Time to "ensure" this wasn't a scam.
We were wrong.
Step by step, all you have listed is the exact same that happened to us. Transfer of funds after signing a contract and all.
The day of delivery, Flight Nannys reached out and requested more funds- when we denied they became agitated and blocked our phone number from further contact.
I believe, in numbers we can try and put an end to this scam.
To note, they also listed and used the same phone number to contact us:
Flight Nannys Pet movers: 1-843-481-0812
If you don't mind- How did you end up paying, via Zelle or credit card?
Where did he say he was located?
Response is greatly appreciated as I have reached out to the FBI and the Police Department.

I came across EnglishBullyBreeders.com I contacted them about a specific dog through email. The website seemed legit and had (fake)reviews. They were quick with responses and questions. They had me answer some questions and once we both agreed it was a good fit they sent a bill of sign contract for me to sign. The puppy was a total of $800 including the nanny and plane. They let me know the paperwork and flight information would be available in the morning. As the morning came they never sent me the information So I reached out they said it will be delivered today without any of the details. As the morning progressed I called them and they wouldn't answer. I kept calling and the texted me back saying they would send a refund. Unfortunately there has been no refund and there phone is completely disconnected.

The website posted pictures of 30 different dachshunds. All 10 weeks old. They claimed they had more dogs being born and needed to make room. They were too busy to take care of so many dogs. The dogs were marked “half price” at $650 each with $50 fee if they would be flown.

When I began to show interest, they said they used Zelle and Chime as a payment method. Payment needed to be in full before dogs would be sent.

I asked several times for address as my search provided no contact info outside of email. They provided an address: *** **** ***, Amarillo TX.

They would not provide a phone #. I continued to research and figured they were not legitimate. It was at that point they sent a text from: 281-612-3936.

I blocked, reported, and deleted all info and contact.

I made a lot of foolish mistakes. I found what I thought was a newfoundland breeder on the internet and filled out their application form adding that we were traveling and wondered where they were located since the web site did not say. We had lost one dog to heart attack and one to cancer (both at 6). After 2 years we saved enough to adopt pups again. Their web site looked great. Tyler Simmons, as he said his name was, texted and emailed more pics of the puppies we chose, sent photos of the parent dogs, sent information about food. Then we agreed on 1000 for down payment. We were excited and naive. We priced plane tickets from our area to Colorado Springs, car rental prices so my husband could fly out and get them and drive back half way across the country. We didn't want them shipped. Here is where it got interesting. We did have trouble with the Venmo account he sent for down payment, it was in a strange name which I asked about. He claimed his son set it up and that he just the name he chose. When that did not work he sent me his "financial cashier's" pay pal information. A big hint should have been here with him not having a business palpay but I was so excited about the girls I just sent the down payment. Antonio Malcome Purifoy was his financial cashier's name. The venmo name was phone number 706-945-8136 under jack762 and the name that came there was Lavar Beard. After sending the down payment and having constant reassurance that his shipper was a professional he worked with for years and the puppies would be safe and well tended, I asked for a video meeting with him and the puppies and his wife whom I had read about in his references on the web site. I also asked for the name and number of the shipping company. He was upset that I wasn't trusting him. Early on when I told him I felt I was taking a big risk he said, "I understand you perfectly but you have nothing to worry about okay?we are 100% legit I assure you. It’s not my fault scam activities go on nowadays you just need to trust me like I’m about to trust you with babies. Not withstanding I am a Christian and I will never take money from people without giving them what they paid for. It’s not only against the law but the rules of the Bible and the lord I serve. I can’t even think of that it’s inhuman."

Well, I could not find any company called

Air Competence Delivery so I did not dial the 572 205 5952 number he gave me.

I told him I couldn't find them and he was upset that I was making this difficult and not trusting him. I asked again for video chat and he said we could zoom after I made the final payment. I asked for my deposit back since he was refusing to let us see the puppies. I also asked for his physical address and a valid phone number. I needless to say is he no longer in contact.

Renata Kovacevic is a Frenchie puppy scam artist that steals puppies and money and resells them. She accessed our corporate account and wiped us out as well as made puppy purchases for puppies she kept and resold. These were ours. She also sold 3 puppies to our employees that have been fired and police reports made. She got us for around $9000 on those three.

She also wiped out dog food and equipment in the amount of $8000.

She used Zelle PayPal and wrote checks to herself and brother out of our account.

inquired through a puppy classified site. Was very suspicious when he did not ask me any questions about my home or care for the puppy. Seemed upset when I suggested to use PayPal. I asked him why the name was different from the business he said he it was the name used for transactions. When PayPal denied the payment because the seller was using an un secured name. I asked more questions. Then demanded payment through Zelle. I ended conversations and blocked him. He was going by the name James Campbell through the site, but the name used in the email was Diego Morin Arroyave Ofni for PayPal. He tried to use two different email addresses. [email protected] and [email protected], phone numbers used for contact is 405-698-2370, this he wanted me to use with Zelle 815 386-6749

I was initially contacted by text regarding the inquiry of a dog after I went on their website and selected contact us under the puppy I wanted. They let me know where they were located. Asked if I would prefer shipping or pick up. Stated shipping was $150 and would be completed the next day. Stated they "ship through a pet delivery company who provides a tracking number and the estimated time of arrival of every puppy, they pick up the puppy with their delivery van and a nanny from our house to the airport where they fly the puppy into the closes airport, and finally will drive the puppy from the airport to your doorstep for delivery the next day after purchase" When I asked to see pictures of both the mom and ad they then asked from my email address to send the picture. I asked about health certificates or warranty of health and was told "Comes with vet results, 1 year health guarantee plus breeding rights, but after 1 week or 2 to take her to the closest vet to you. She also comes with some food, and toys but you'll need to get more food, her food is royal canin" Then they asked for specific information into the "kind of home our puppy will be going to and any other information about yourself" I asked if this was a form to fill out or just text. I proceeded to tell them about our family via text. Their response was "looks like perfect home for her" Then the next text talked about "Payment is done through Zelle, Cash app, Apply Pay or Chime" Then went on to say "We will need to the information below for shipping details: Your full names, full address, closest airport, best email address, best phone number" which I went on to provide. Three days past, then I texted them again asking if there was another payment method, credit card? I was told no. They then provided their Zelle information email: [email protected] Name: Martins. Total payment $700. I asked them to call me before I sent the money. Spoke with them on the phone. A Spanish speaking person. I made the payment through a friend's account. I informed them I sent the money and they said "As soon as payment is done, we ill go ahead and register the puppy for delivery and the delivery will contact you with tracking number and the ETA, but probably 2 pm tomorrow you'll receive the puppy." Then they had me send screen shots of money sent, "verified" receipt. Then said they were "talking to a number of delivery companies now to pick one whose services are convenient for all of us, just keep an eye on email" Then sent me a tracking number and a delivery company petwavetransport.com. Fast foward to the following morning I received a text stating URGENT check your email. I received an email from the pet transport [email protected] stating the crate the dog was in was not adequate and I could "RENT" a crate and be reimbursed. The smallest crate was $800 but I needed to pay upfront. I told them I would like to speak to someone on the phone. They told me my puppy was not going to be on the flight because of inadequate crate. The breeder and the pet transport refused to answer my calls or return my calls when I refused to give any more money.

My sister and I went online to find maltipoo puppies and found this website, paquin-family.com located in Cody, Wyoming. Everything looked legitimate. We received extra pictures and videos of the puppies we were interested in. After paying a deposit of 50% ($1050) for three puppies, (Coco, Hannah and Maple) and $600 for transportation, the website went down. A day later we found the same puppies online under darryl-family.com. Obviously, the pictures were stolen and the dogs don't exist.

I found a site for my sister for Yorkie puppies. it really looked real. I did not realize at first that my sister paid with vanilla Visa cards for $5000 in $500 amounts. Then they kept demanding more for the special carrier, insurance, food, and lodging for the dog because of the storm. They wanted her to use her car for collateral for more money. I said no and advised her to block the phone number. I'm sure they have it. I told my sister again to tell them no!! And I again said to block the number and tell them no! Because now they were threatening her with neglect to the puppy! How terrible! She was exhausted from lack of sleep from them calling and her worrying. And she is now out for $5000 or more. She is on a disability and on a fixed income and works very little because she's in pain. But now she has to work especially now to regain the money they stole. Thank you. Sincerely, Barb L***
