- Newport News, VA, USA

Many voicemails from this RCAPay.com company. Telling me that they are collecting debt on someone's behalf without saying anything else. Their website looks incredibly sketchy. Nothing about location of company, just a place where you can pay. Looks like their website was only registered in October of 2022, and there are a number of very similar domain names according to who.is These criminals need to be shut down.

Robo Call, marked by my phone carrier as "Scam Likely" so I let it go to Voice Mail. Their automated message is exactly as others have described in this thread.

They did not specify my name, nor who they are supposedly collecting for referring to a breach of contract. Seems very likely a Phishing scam.

My latest credit report shows nothing that would justify this call, so again, mostly likely a scam.

- Madison, WI, USA

They wanted my social security number! They said I have a debt and I need to pay. When I questioned them they said they needed other information. I am not in arrears on any payment so I don't know why they called me. I told them to contact my attorney and to stop calling. They keep calling though. This is unacceptable.

- Tacoma, WA, USA

Left VM, stating they had received preliminary paperwork in regards to a breach of contract. They will settle for less at rcapay.com.

- Malvern, PA, USA

Scammer left a vague message that I owed a debt that would be reported and I should visit their site to settle "for less".

- Metairie, LA, USA

I received a message from a male stating he was a debt collector and I owe money, and if I didn't pay immediately, he would send my account to a debt collector (not sure why a debt collector would send it off to another debt collector). He stated it would be cheaper for me to resolve this issue by going to their website at rcapay.com

- Fairfield, PA, USA

Call to my cell from Kevin rca debt collector. No info other than automated services. When confronted they said case is closed out.

- Salt Lake City, UT, USA

Left automated voicemail that started slightly cut off stating "Reach out to you to give you a chance to resolve the matter before further collection efforts or credit reporting, if applicable, begins on this account. You may resolve this account by calling us back at this number or go to our website to chat with an agent or settle for less. Because it costs us less for you to resolve this online that savings is passed along to you. Our website address again is rcapay.com, that's R as in Receivables, C as in Collections, A as in Associates, Pay, P-A-Y.com. By law I am required to inform you this communication is from a debt collector." No debt, amount of debt, client name, or my personal name, etc. was provided.

- Carlisle, PA, USA

Left it go to voicemail. Rcapay.com attempting to collect a debt. I don't have a debt, so that's a far as it went for me. Phishing for info. No thanks

- Woods Cross, UT, USA

Received a message claiming I owe a debt. But no details on who they’re trying to contact or any info directed to me.

Several Robocalls were received from the scammer with a claim of outstanding debt to AT&T Wireless for $1735.62.

I immediately contacted the cellular provider who stated "there's no record on file for outstanding debt".

I then contacted an RCA Agent but was unsuccessful with the company's mode of

communication via chat room. (Chatwoot)

- Houston, TX, USA

I don’t answer numbers I don’t know, but I have gotten several voicemails from this company claiming I have an outstanding debt. I’m very fiscally responsible, so I don’t have any outstanding accounts AND I check my credit frequently. You can see below I have two calls from them and two other “debt collector” using the same 40 second script.

- Missouri City, TX, USA

I received a call from a company called RCA. I didn't answer the call, but the company left a voicemail stating that there was a breach of contract with one of their clients. They stated that if I wanted to settle this breach of contract, I needed to go to RCApay.com. I didn't respond to the phone call, or go to the website. Definitely a scam.

- Bakersfield, CA, USA

I was called twice by "RCA". Once from a phone number from Philadelphia, PA and another from Dublin, OH. I don't answer numbers I don't have saved in my phone, so they each left a vague message, identifying their entity as a debt collector, about receiving "preliminary paperwork regarding a break of contract with their client". They never indicate who the client is or list a dollar amount they are looking for, but ask me to visit their website "rcapay.com" to resolve an online settlement at a discounted rate. Neither message sounded like a recording but like a real man (the first call) and woman (the second call).

- Phoenixville, PA, USA

I received a robocall that sounds exactly the same as the other message about RCA Pay. However, it looks like the other person reporting received a call from Honeymoon, PA which is near me, but my call originated in Alabama.

- Sand Springs, OK, USA

I keep getting calls saying they are a debit collector to call back with no call back # given or go to their web page because it's cheaper to pay your debts there as they don't have to go to other means.. rcaPAY.com .. please pay before it effects my credit

- Two Rivers, WI, USA

Here is the voicemail transcript that I received: "This is a cabin with the RCA receivables credit associates LLC or CApay.com we received _?_?_?_?_?_?_?_?_?_ paperwork in regards to a breach of contract with our clients on account has been placed with our office and we did want to at least out of courtesy reach out to you to give you a chance to resolve the matter before further collection efforts _?_ credit reporting if applicable begins on this account you may result."

- Hollywood, SC, USA

Called me and said that I owed allot of money and to go to the website to pay them but refused to give me anymore information. The only thing they wanted to do was to have me verify my SSN and to go to their website. Beware

I got a robocall and followed the prompts, until they asked to verify my SSN. I refused. I went onto the website to have a chat with an agent who refused to identify themselves with a name or agent ID number. They told me I owed Bank of Delaware $583. I Googled Bank of Delaware. No such entity exists. I insisted upon receiving something in writing, to which I didn't get a solid answer. I told them to go scam someone else and that I would be reporting their number and website to the police. I didn't give up my SSN or money. https://rcapay.com and 1-888-505-4218. AVOID the website and calls from this or 1-223-210-4891
