It's a simple question: what does your company do? What product or service is provided?
Now we see sock puppet accounts insisting that this is not a scam. If your "employees" do nothing but recruit other "employees" then its a scam. If you sell X product at Y cost = not a scam.

1. They take a fee upfront for classes that they say you'll get back if you meet a certain quota (most people don't get this back, including myself)
2. The idea that "anyone from any background can do this" is a classic MLM campaign. It gives people hope that they can get a finance job that doesn't require a finance background and make decent money. People in desperate situations are vulnerable to the idea that with just a month of training, they can make money that will change their lives.
3. My "trainer" never helped me with anything. Once I passed my exam, I asked them if they had time to call me and discuss the next steps. I didn't hear from them until 10 pm, when they called and told me to get in contact with the CEO (?) and figure out my business plan.
4. At first it seems like you're actually going to be helping people with their finances. Once you get into training, you slowly realize that the whole thing is designed around bringing more people into the company. In order to start working for them, you need to complete a "7 day standard". This includes sitting down with 3 family members or friends and discussing the company's business plan. Which I can only assume is to get them involved at SLD since at no other company that is not a MLM do you need to do this.
5. Multiple employees running the training stated the way they make money is by bringing people in and having them in your group. They say "do you think I wanted to sell insurance my whole life? no!" and then go on to say how they built a team and make money by getting a bonus when someone on their team makes a sale.
6. The last time I talked with anyone at this company was about 5 weeks ago. My "trainer" told me they were going to contact me and they just never did, nor did anyone else. I passed my exam and told them I was ready to get started. If this were a real company, someone would've at least contacted me once.
Maybe this company has helped people and I'm sure people are happy working here. But SLD shouldn't pretend they're not an MLM.

The company is very good at providing no information. They can't tell you how they found you, can't tell you what credentials caught their eye, can't tell you the name of the jobs you seem to be a 'good fit for', they can't tell you anything about the company other than they're in the financial industry and that their 'hiring director' is looking at interviewing you right away. A "Rosa" texted from the number 949-518-0201.
