We were having problems with our DVR and I also misdialed. The woman who answered kept trying to sell me "Insurance" and was very persistent and had no interest in helping me with the DVR problem, so I hung up.

SCAM! I had the same experience as the others here. I misdialed Spectrum and reached the scam at 844-707-7326. A man answered and said they were ATT and bought Spectrum, that I needed to pay a $19.95 activation fee, and recurring monthly TV-cable-internet fee of ~$120. He asked for my name, address, birth date, social security number, email and wouldn't let me hang up, insisting it was needed for me to continue my Spectrum services.

I had same experience today, tried to call spectrum but dialed wrong number to 855-707-7326. One woman answered and I thought she’s from spectrum. She’s not stopping to want me buy $99 tv/internet protection. She saw me not going to buy then asked some “helper” the guy came on phone. He’s very aggressively not stopping talking as well and keep ask me the credit card number. I started wondering and hung up.

When attempting to contact Spectrum Cable/internet's customer service number, I mistakenly dialed a 6 instead of 8 as the last digit. I reached a number with an operator. I believed her to be a Spectrum representative. She took my name, telephone number, and zip code, then attempted to sell me TV service which she said would be free for the first 3 months. When I told her I would try a different phone number, she attempted to sell me "security services for my home." I hung up.

Spectrum's number is 1-855-707-7328.

This scam is reached at 1-855-707-7326.

I suspect they are intentionally scamming Spectrum customers into giving them personal information.
