I received a text from Alex Gerrard with Readers Digest Publishers Clearing House saying I had won $500,000 with a picture of a check. He said I was randomly picked for January 2024. I told him I have a Ring camera, and nobody came to my door. He had an accent like Pakistan or India. He sent me an email saying the IRS had taken care of 100% of the taxes.

The account in question is misleading users into believing that it is affiliated with "Mr. Beast" a popular YouTuber on the platform. The ad claims you will receive $1000 for visiting a link in the description and was put up is on a channel that goes by the name of "Beast Offerings". The channel does not state that it is not affiliated with the previously mentioned YouTuber (Mr. Beast) until you arrive to the page that was linked on the video. Once on the page you are greeted by the claim of winning $1000 for putting in your personal information. The only mention of them not being affiliated with "Mr. Beast" is in small print with resides at the bottom of the page. I believe these tactic are purposely misleading in order to gain personal information from the victim.

Wanted me to send them $1,000 to collect winnings of $100,000. Claims that it's a grant you don't have to pay back, used your friend's messenger account to get a hold of you to tell you that they saw your name in the unclaimed funds section and stated that a agent will help you get your money, before someone else claims it.

Fortunately, my bank blocked the payment as fraudulent and did not allow the charge to go through. There were 3 different charges, to 3 different scammers,or so I thought. I will list all 3 as a separate scam, but they are all about lottery or some type of prize and I called the first number and they said they would cancel it. Like I was going to win anyway! I never gave anyone from these scammers my credit card number, so not sure how they got it. You would have to pay them to even get a "ticket" for the lottery/gifting prize. When I called about the second scam they said I had already been cancelled, stating that they were a call center for several companies! Same when I called for the 3rd scam. So it seems like they have a broad spectrum of companies they pretend to be.
