The preloved bag shop Reports & Reviews (138)

I started following this account in 2020 when I entered a giveaway contest in that year.

Recently I saw a bag in their Instagram stories and inquired about the item.

The account sent me a video of the interior of the bag and due to not responding immediately, she blocked me.

When I had first messaged the account, they responded with, "Ready to buy after 3 years?" which I laughed off as a joke. I realized they were pretty serious about the comment with their response and blocking as a result.

Although I did not purchase from this account as a result of being blocked, buyers should do their research and review before purchasing. Any small business so willing to ask for an EMT up front but not willing to provide time for you to make a decision can potentially be a scam. Buyer beware.

Similar to the various post here, I inquired about a bag. She sent me the pricing, pictures and video for it. I wasn't able to respond right away because I had a call. She freaked out, called me unprofessional and blocked me.

What kind of business conduct is this?

STAY INCREDIBLY FAR AWAY. These are NOT authentic luxury bags. They are “allegedly” brought in from Tokyo, yet these bags are always creased, damaged, the logos and stitching off, etc. it is SO bad. (Notice how they never have any additional photos of this product their pushing? If you ASK for photos or videos to prove authenticity, you will be berated and blocked. The individuals who run this account are called Tahlo Azoulay and Shai Azoulay (likely a husband/wife fraudulent duo). If you look into Tahlo, her last listed work place was Intermix- which is a Toronto based “designer company” that carried brands like Zimmerman, Mackage and Agolde. Intermix did not and DOES not (online) carry luxury designer brands such as Gucci, Dior, Chanel, Hermes etc. if you look into Intermix’s only location in Canada, it was based in Toronto but shut down in 2020 (notice when Theprelovedbagshop popped up?!). She was listed as the “Floor Coordinator”- please see attached screenshots of her comments claiming I have a 9-5 job.
Furthermore, I decided to look into Shai Azoulay and here’s what I found :)

He claims to be President of S&S Bags and Business supplies- they manufacture boutique bags, shrink wrap, garbage bags and other retail products. The address is 89 Bentworth Ave Unit #6, Toronto, Ontario (coincides with where they ship their FAKE bags out of- Mississauga; you can confirm where they ship out of because they DO NOT hide their customers tracking numbers and then post it on Instagram!- see screenshot attached). As well, if you look up S&S Bags and Business Supplies, the business is registered under a SIMON AZOULAY and NOT Shai Azoulay. If you want to be consumed even more, look up S&S Bags and Business supplies on Ontario’s business registry. They have listed their Business Name as “S&S Bags & Business Supplies” but they have THREE DIFFERENT business numbers. Sketchy. They all have different registration days and business types as well, again- SKETCHY as HELL. As well, as you can see from other reviews, they requested an e-transfer to be sent to the following email address: [email protected] (ARE YOU CONCERNED YET?!) this business has no legitimate business email address, nor a legitimate form of payment.

In their “About Us” highlight on Instagram, they claim “the quality and craftsmanship of designer bags is what allows them to remain timeless decade after decade. We source the lowest priced authentic preloved handbags from around the world, giving us the opportunity to sell them for the lowest prices”. This in itself is incredibly alarming and as a luxury buyer- RUN. In one screenshot they claim to source their bags from Tokyo and made 1.7 million last year. In another screenshot you can see they allegedly source them from around the world. In ANOTHER screenshot, you can see how they supposedly wholesale these luxury bags (this isn’t a thing, you can’t wholesale luxury items….MASSIVE red flag there).

This is supposedly a luxury consignment company. But when you go to their website, they don’t have any product listed and if you really look at the website, you can even find spelling mistakes. This is not a legitimate company folks! They also claim on their website to have a “certified in house expert” and that they “do not accept returns as our products are exactly as described and never misrepresented”- if this was a legitimate luxury consignment company, they would ABSOLUTELY accept returns of a luxury bag/accessory- these guys DO NOT because they’re FAKE and they know it. If you look at other luxury consignment companies within your area, they will accept the items back for an in store credit or exchange for something else, never will they tell you they don’t want the item back unless it was heavily discounted during a legitimate sale in their store.
They have listed on their website their forms of payment include visa, MasterCard or e-transfer. NO LEGITIMATE LUXURY CONSIGNMENT COMPANY will accept an E-TRANSFER! That is totally insane to me and no where have I ever run into that method of payment- RED FLAG AGAIN. Also, when they request you to send an e-transfer, these are the email addresses they supply: [email protected] and [email protected] CRAZY!
I’ll also attach a photo of how these “luxury bags” are stored and have been stored at this couples house. If you have a $1000.00+ bag you would store it correctly in its dust bag, not folded so the leather has creased and cracked.. SUCH a mess.
January 12,2023 this girl posted on their Instagram page that she was cleaning her LV canvas with a Mr. clean eraser. This destroys and weakens the integrity of the bag- she cleans almost every bag that is marked with these magic erasers and then sells them to the general public. DO NOT BUY A SINGLE THING FROM HER- your fake bag will be further damaged. Yikes yikes yikes.
As you can see from other comments, when you ask for her to confirm the legitimacy and authenticity of the products, she will berate you and block you. No legitimate luxury consignment seller will do this. She never posts any “inventory” on the website or her Instagram page because people who DO buy luxury items can spot the fakes, literally down to the stitching the and NUMBER of stitches on each bag. What I have noticed is that she will take the money from the sales of the FAKE hand bags, buy legitimate products for HERSELF and post those products on her feed so that it “looks” legitimate. You won’t ever find any product she’s selling on her actual page- only her stories (there’s a reason for that!) if you look at the photos they provide on their website of “happy clients” they’re just Instagram screenshots, there’s no actual professional photos ever taken of the products- red flag again.
Report this woman and her husband to Canadas BBB with screenshots of the conversations you’ve had with her so that she can’t steal anyone else’s hard earned money and rip of these legitimate brands who also work hard to create their products.

Looks like she read all your comments, check the attached pictures from her update website. And resurfaced with another IG account, which again is being changed daily, notice the careful twist of words.
Oh and yes - went from entrupy certified to authenticated by our certified in-house expert.

OMG, I wish I seen this sooner. I got a bag from her and first it stunk like a root seller. And second in the name tag strap was someones name and address...from Japan and the back is all in Japanese. She took my money and deleted her instagram account. I believe she's on Poshmark by the name of Jennifer and is denying.

Thank you so much for this! This was such an amazing review and breakdown as I had gone through the same thing with this account! She was totally rude to me! Thank you for being so thorough and confirming my suspicions. And thank you so much for going that extra mile to warn us about these scammers!

I contacted the shop and asked about a bag I saw on her instagram. I then had to step away from the computer for eight (!) minutes, in which time she told me that she had no time for me and blocked me, she is extremely rude and unprofessional.

I replied to her story of a Louis Vuitton duffle bag saying that I liked it and was interested. Before making a decision, I asked if it was 100% authentic, as one does, and what currency the price was in. She responded with such attitude and claimed I was harassing her by asking simple questions customers ask. I got blocked for asking typical questions anyone would ask when purchasing items from small businesses. It was as if she was getting defensive when I asked if it was 100% authentic. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. Never purchase anything from this business! See conversation screenshot below:
DO NOT BUY!

I want to buy a Chanel Crossbody from her today and I was deciding between two that she had and had some questions. Which is natural when you’re spending a lot of money.
Our conversation maybe lasted for 5 minutes before she blocked me because I didn’t answer her back in 3 seconds. See conversation in pics

Similar thing happened to me! I asked what currency the price was in and if it was 100% authentic because you can never trust on social media. I got blocked and got told I was harassing her.

I asked for details and when I didn’t view her video (which actually didn’t show me the things I asked for) within 5 minutes, she blocked me. This is the first time I have inquired about an item and we had no previous communication so I’m not sure where the comment about harassing her family came from. My impression from this interaction, and seeing other similar communications, is that the products are likely fake. Glad I didn’t give this seller any money.

She is insaneeee

I inquired with this loser about one of the bags she posted for sale. I kindly asked about the interior of the bag so I could determine if it was functional for me. She immediately responded with a rude remark that insinuated I was a “tire kicker”. She was extremely rude and then proceeded to block me. Whoever is behind this account is trash and is clearly out to scam people. Buyers BEWARE of this account. She did this to my sister in law as well!

Was about to buy a bag from there and asked for a receipt. She said they don’t provide receipts so for me that was a red flag and I kindly said I was no longer interested. Her response is below as a screenshot. Based on her customer service, lack of receipts and lack of having a registered business, I believe this is a scam. Beware

I purchased a clutch from them, when asked about proof of authenticity, she said I had to pay 75$ to get it. Since I was looking for that bag for a while, I just asked if it comes with the dust bag, when she confirmed, I made the transaction. I received the item the next day but no dust bag, when I reported it, she just replied by saying that they didn't have it and offered to reimburse 10$ (lol). I said I just wanted her to send me a dust bag, she became rude and unprofessional (I attached a screenshot) and ended up blocking me. Such an easy way out to block customers on Instagram.
So just be careful, this is most probably a scam!

I had the exact same experience and was totally taken aback at how rude she was for no reason.

I was almost going to purchase an item from The Pre Loved Bag, when I said I was having second thoughts she blocked me after responding rudely. Do not buy from this seller!

The same exact thing happened to me!

Hi,

I just wanted to raise awareness and report a instagram-based “luxury” retailer that has becoming increasingly problematic in the Ottawa and Toronto areas primarily. Especially among the young female population here. Unregistered and unregulated instagram-based “Luxury Consignment” stores have increasingly flown under the radar selling counterfeit goods with “100% authentic” written within their Instagram bios within the range of $700-$4,000.00 CAD.

Sadly there is not many regulations out there to promote buyer BEWARE’s and the brand’s facebook page overloaded with poor comments of damaged and poor quality items and the owner deliberately avoiding showing any proof or images of the “authenticity cards” that supposedly are in a “sealed” envelope that cannot be opened and will be inside once you receive your item. She claims to list luxury items for nearly 50% less than retail value looking for gullible consumers who will purchase her items quickly without asking about authenticity.

It is quite apparent to the majority this woman is desperately selling counterfeit luxury handbags to those who do not ask for images/videos of authenticity. Misleading social advertisements, falsified “guarantees” unregistered business transactions via e-transfer and lack of transparency and trust are apparent here. & those who do ask for any kind of proof are immediately blocked to avoid tainting any other potential customers. Thus, no ability to warn future buyers.

Unfortunately as instagram currently does not have a business rating system or public review area, I would hope myself and many other buyers who have recently shared their Instagram experiences with theprelovedbagshop could get some further traction to try as much as possible to stop or slow down the purchase of counterfeit items to unknowing consumers by this individual run Toronto, Ontario based online business.

** Note: Individual asked for direct etransfer via email address: [email protected]

But also lists [email protected] as business email address.
