Text with a hyperlink asking me to click it and update my address or the package won't be delivered.

I received a text:

" "–Your package has arrived at distribution center DL95B3, but we cannot deliver it due to incorrect information provided by the sender. Ref #:4520599869195 –Please verify your address information in this link– US404162042.02u9fv8ps.us–UDL95B3". "

I clicked the link and it took me to a mock USPS website. It asked for my information to match the package and then for my credit card so that they could charge me $0.30 for the redelivery fee. I gave them my email, phone number, and address. Unfortunately I didn't realize it was a scam until they asked for my credit card.

Received repeated texts stating, "The USPS package arrived at the warehouse but could not be delivered due to incomplete address information. Please confirm your address in the link. https://usps.speedypack-ups.shop (Please reply Y, then exit the text message and open it again to activate the link, or copy the link and open it in your Safari browser). The USPS team wishes you a wonderful day."

I have not replied. Tried but could not reach the web address using web through a secure work server. Have to assume this is more than Junk - that it's an attempt to engage text recipient for a scam, but I don't see it on the ScamPulse.com site. This is reported for your information, as I have no losses.

I believed USPS was contacting me regarding a package I was waiting to receive.

i got a text that said and i quote. “ "–Your package has arrived at distribution center MJ81M8, but we cannot deliver it due to incorrect information provided by the sender. Ref #:4551012440787 –Please verify your address information in this link–(with the link provided, which i will not put on here). once i clicked the link i saw the USPS logo but got suspicious that the website link did not say USPS. for example it said http://04us1r093ps.site/. not usps.com. they asked for my address. once i typed in my name and address they then asked for my credit/debit card information saying i need to pay a 0.30 cent fee for redelivery. that’s when i got more suspicious and realized i was being scammed.

They claimed my package was held at the warehouse but could not deliver due to incomplete address. So they sent me this message and a link to check out.

- Las Vegas, NV, USA • Dec 06, 2023

They said that I had a package that was undeliverable and they needed me to pay to get it redelivered and so I did not thinking it was a scam because it brought me to an actual USPS website it looked like

- Turlock, CA, USA • Dec 04, 2023

A text message was sent claiming the target would not be able to receive a package from the USPS if they didn't give personal information online through a link impersonating the USPS.

- Reno, NV, USA • Dec 04, 2023

Received a text msg at 6:19am saying the following: “your package has arrived at

distribution center NV93X7, but we cannot deliver it due to incorrect information

provided by the sender.Ref #: 4682234088021 Please verify your address

information in this link US497138061.10us3zjg9ps.us- UNV93X7”

I click on the link and was directed to fill in my name and address.

After that, i received another part of the same text, that said in order to have item

redelivered I would need to pay extra shipping of $0.30 and asked for my card

information. I should note that top of form had USPS logo. I stupidly provided the

information and clicked. I thought I would receive a confirmation message but none

appeared. I sent a msg saying I filled out the information so now what? I of course never received a response. That’s when I knew it was a scam. I went down to

Washington Street Post office around 12:30 pm to verify it was a scam. I then went

To Bank of America on ******* *** ******** to inform them of the situation. My

account was placed under a 24 hour hold and I have an appointment at 9am tomorrow to discuss getting new debit card etc.

VERY similar site to the official USPS site selling stamps for sale. Tried checking out and it states "payment failed". Tried a few more times and it finally went through and a charge tried to go thru the credit card via paypal. Received some stamps reflecting the order but now questioning if they are legitimate or not.

- Blacksburg, VA, USA • Dec 01, 2023

Received a text that said it was from USPS, and that my package was at the warehouse but couldn’t be delivered due to an incomplete message, told me to got to the link provided. No tracking number, description of a package, or email had been provided. Checked the link, which had to be copy-pasted into my browser, and it took me to a very convincing USPS website. Put in some info, realized there was no second address line, no tracking number line given, and no way to access the dropdown bar. Gave them false information to see what the next page was, and it was a billing page for a redelivery fee. The fee was for $0.30 (I know I said $1 when it asked how much they tried to scam, but it didn’t let me put in decimals.) There was a second address line here, and the billing page looked real. Didn’t go any further than that.

This scam seems to be fishing for addresses and phone numbers. Reported junk to Apple.

- Monroe, NC, USA • Nov 29, 2023

Ordered a beach bag and accessories. When I received the order confirmation it stated it would take up to 4 weeks. Its's been 3 months and never received the order. I sent several emails requesting updates and all they would tell me is the order is in transit and could take a few weeks.

- Fairview, NC, USA • Nov 29, 2023

Instagram post about Willow Tree nativities. I was very excited with such a good deal, and was trying to get a gift for a family member's birthday. I ordered, the website looks like Willow Tree, very convincing and I thought ok this is for real. After ordering the confirmation came from VIKRASSETH.COM

I immediately knew my dumb self had fallen for a scam. I tired to cancel the order and they said it was on its way and could not be cancelled. I thought well maybe, they did respond and gave be a tracking number.

After waiting for a few weeks and watching the tracking. I went to see if the post office had it. The Post Master took the tracking number, he came out to tell me I was the 3rd person to come in that week with that tracking number. No package existed, I was had.

So there it is...

- Rock Hill, SC, USA • Nov 28, 2023

Ordered a blanket and never recieved. Still have emails i sent and they sent. Sent tracking number but it said it was delivered to Puerto Rico.

- Sherrills Ford, NC, USA • Nov 27, 2023

Ordered some stuff on the website. Reached out when I had not heard anything about my ordered. Did receive a message back giving me a tracking number. I kept checking the site everyday for tracking, all it showed it was that it was in tracking. When I looked today it said it was delivered on Saturday. Funny it didn’t say that on Saturday or Sunday. I did not receive my package. I have no idea where it was delivered but it surely was not here. Do not buy from this site. It is a scam.
